$\mathbb{F}_q$-linear relations among Thakur's multiple zeta values in positive characteristic

Let $\mathcal{Z}_w^{(\mathbb{F}_q)}$ be the $\mathbb{F}_q$-linear subspace of $\mathbb{F}_q(\!(\theta^{-1})\!)$ spanned by Thakur's multiple zeta values $\zeta_A(\mathfrak{s})$ of weight $w$. We prove that $\sum_{w=1}^{\infty} \left(\dim_{\mathbb{F}_q} \mathcal{Z}_w^{(\mathbb{F}_q)}\right) x^w = \frac{x(1-x^q)(1-2x+x^q)}{(1-2x+x^{q+1})^2}$. Moreover, we construct an explicit $\mathbb{F}_q$-basis of $\mathcal{Z}_w^{(\mathbb{F}_q)}$, and prove that any $\mathbb{F}_q$-linear relation among Carlitz multiple polylogarithm values $\operatorname{Li}_A(\mathfrak{s})$ is an $\mathbb{F}_q$-linear combination of quadruple-carry relations. This result can be regarded as an $\mathbb{F}_q$-analogue of the corresponding $\mathbb{F}_q(\theta)$-theorem proved by Chang--Chen--Mishiba and independently by Im--Kim--Le--Ngo Dac--Pham. Our discovery of the quadruple-carry relations is inspired by the recent work of Im--Kim--Ngo Dac. These relations may be viewed as $\mathbb{F}_q$-analogues of the double-shuffle relations among classical multiple zeta values $\zeta(\mathfrak{s})$.

Revisiting Multi-modal 3D Semantic Segmentation in Real-world Autonomous Driving

LiDAR and camera are two critical sensors for multi-modal 3D semantic segmentation and are supposed to be fused efficiently and robustly to promise safety in various real-world scenarios. However, existing multi-modal methods face two key challenges: 1) difficulty with efficient deployment and real-time execution; and 2) drastic performance degradation under weak calibration between LiDAR and cameras. To address these challenges, we propose CPGNet-LCF, a new multi-modal fusion framework extending the LiDAR-only CPGNet. CPGNet-LCF solves the first challenge by inheriting the easy deployment and real-time capabilities of CPGNet. For the second challenge, we introduce a novel weak calibration knowledge distillation strategy during training to improve the robustness against the weak calibration. CPGNet-LCF achieves state-of-the-art performance on the nuScenes and SemanticKITTI benchmarks. Remarkably, it can be easily deployed to run in 20ms per frame on a single Tesla V100 GPU using TensorRT TF16 mode. Furthermore, we benchmark performance over four weak calibration levels, demonstrating the robustness of our proposed approach.

Voice Search and Typed Search Performance Comparison on Baidu Search System

Although the voice search system is getting more and more developed, some people still have difficulties when searching for information with the voice search system. This paper is a pilot study to compare the search performance of people using voice search and typed search using Baidu search system. We surveyed and interviewed 40 Chinese students who have been using the Baidu search system. Afterward, we analyzed 8 people who had a middle to advanced searching ability by their behaviors, search results, and average query length. We found that there are a lot of variations among the participants' time when searching for different queries, and there were some interesting behaviors that were displayed by a number of participants. We conclude that more participants are needed to make a firm conclusion on the performance comparison between the voice search and typed search.
