The Skorokhod problem with two nonlinear constraints

In this paper, we study the Skorokhod problem with two constraints, where the constraints are in a nonlinear fashion. We prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution and also provide the explicit construction for the solution. In addition, a number of properties of the solution, including continuity under uniform and J1 metrics, comparison principle and non-anticipatory property, are investigated.

Reflected BSDEs driven by G-Brownian motion with non-Lipschitz coefficients

In this paper, we consider the reflected backward stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion (reflected G-BSDEs) whose coefficients satisfy the beta-order Mao's condition. The uniqueness is obtained by some a priori estimates and the existence can be proved by two different methods. The first one is Picard iteration and the second one is approximation via penalization. The latter construction is useful to get the comparison theorem.

The Cox-Ingersoll-Ross process under volatility uncertainty

Due to the importance of the Cox-Ingersoll-Ross process in different areas of finance, a broad spectrum of studies and investigations on this model have been carried out. In case of ambiguity, we characterize it by applying the $G$-expectation theory and the associated $G$-Brownian motion. In this paper, we provide the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the Cox-Ingersoll-Ross process in the presence of volatility uncertainty. In addition, some properties of the solution are indicated, such as the regularity and strong Markov property. Besides, we calculate some moments of the CIR process using a generalization of the nonlinear Feynman-Kac theorem.

Stochastic representation under g-expectation and applications: the discrete time case

In this paper, we address the stochastic representation problem in discrete time under (non-linear) g-expectation. We establish existence and uniqueness of the solution, as well as a characterization of the solution. As an application, we investigate a new approach to the optimal stopping problem under g-expectation and the related pricing of American options under Knightian uncertainty. Our results are also applied to a (non-linear) Skorokhod-type obstacle problem.

Optimal Consumption with Intertemporal Substitution under Knightian Uncertainty

We study an intertemporal consumption and portfolio choice problem under Knightian uncertainty in which agent's preferences exhibit local intertemporal substitution. We also allow for market frictions in the sense that the pricing functional is nonlinear. We prove existence and uniqueness of the optimal consumption plan, and we derive a set of sufficient first-order conditions for optimality. With the help of a backward equation, we are able to determine the structure of optimal consumption plans. We obtain explicit solutions in a stationary setting in which the financial market has different risk premia for short and long positions.

A Knightian Irreversible Investment Problem

In this paper, we study an irreversible investment problem under Knightian uncertainty. In a general framework, in which Knightian uncertainty is modeled through a set of multiple priors, we prove existence and uniqueness of the optimal investment plan, and derive necessary and sufficient conditions for optimality. This allows us to construct the optimal policy in terms of the solution to a stochastic backward equation under the worst-case scenario. In a time-homogeneous setting - where risk is driven by a geometric Brownian motion and Knightian uncertainty is realized through a so-called "k-ignorance" - we are able to provide the explicit form of the optimal irreversible investment plan.

Optimal Multiple Stopping Problems under g-expectation

In this paper, we study the optimal multiple stopping problem under Knightian uncertainty both under discrete-time case and continuous-time case. The Knightian uncertainty is modeled by a single real-valued function g, which is the generator of a kind of backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs). We show that the value function of the multiple stopping problem coincides with the one corresponding to a new reward sequence or process. For the discrete-time case, this problem can be solved by an induction method which is a straightforward generalization of the single stopping theory. For the continuous-time case, we furthermore need to establish the continuity of the new reward family. This result can be applied to the pricing problem for swing options in financial markets, which give the holder of this contract at least two times rights to exercise it.

Backward Stochastic Differential Equations Driven by G-Brownian Motion with Double Reflections

In this paper, we study the reflected backward stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion with two reflecting obstacles, which means that the solution lies between two prescribed processes. A new kind of approximate Skorohod condition is proposed to derive the uniqueness and existence of the solutions. The uniqueness can be proved by a priori estimates and the existence is obtained via a penalization method.

Optimal Multiple Stopping Problem under Nonlinear Expectation

In this paper, we study the optimal multiple stopping problem under the filtration consistent nonlinear expectations. The reward is given by a set of random variables satisfying some appropriate assumptions rather than an RCLL process. We first construct the optimal stopping time for the single stopping problem, which is no longer given by the first hitting time of processes. We then prove by induction that the value function of the multiple stopping problem can be interpreted as the one for the single stopping problem associated with a new reward family, which allows us to construct the optimal multiple stopping times. If the reward family satisfies some strong regularity conditions, we show that the reward family and the value functions can be aggregated by some progressive processes. Hence, the optimal stopping times can be represented as hitting times.

Optimal Stopping under G-expectation

We develop a theory of optimal stopping problems under G-expectation framework. We first define a new kind of random times, called G-stopping times, which is suitable for this problem. For the discrete time case with finite horizon, the value function is defined backwardly and we show that it is the smallest G-supermartingale dominating the payoff process and the optimal stopping time exists. Then we extend this result both to the infinite horizon and to the continuous time case. We also establish the relation between the value function and solution of reflected BSDE driven by G-Brownian motion.

Reflected BSDE driven by G-Brownian motion with an upper obstacle

In this paper, we study the reflected backward stochastic differential equation driven by G-Brownian motion (reflected G-BSDE for short) with an upper obstacle. The existence is proved by approximation via penalization. By using a variant comparison theorem, we show that the solution we constructed is the largest one.

Reflected Solutions of BSDEs Driven by G-Brownian Motion

In this paper, we study the reflected solutions of one-dimensional backward stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion (RGBSDE for short). The reflection keeps the solution above a given stochastic process. In order to derive the uniqueness of reflected GBSDEs, we apply a "martingale condition" instead of the Skorohod condition. Similar to the classical case, we prove the existence by approximation via penalization.

Supermartingale Decomposition Theorem under G-expectation

The objective of this paper is to establish the decomposition theorem for supermartingales under the $G$-framework. We first introduce a $g$-nonlinear expectation via a kind of $G$-BSDE and the associated supermartingales. We have shown that this kind of supermartingales have the decomposition similar to the classical case. The main ideas are to apply the uniformly continuous property of $S_G^β(0,T)$, the representation of the solution to $G$-BSDE and the approximation method via penalization.

Invariant and ergodic measures for G-diffusion processes

In this paper we study the problems of invariant and ergodic measures under G-expectation framework. In particular, the stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion have the unique invariant and ergodic measures. Moreover, the invariant and ergodic measures of G-SDEs are also sublinear expectations. However, the invariant measures may not coincide with ergodic measures, which is different from the classical case.
