From Masks to Pixels and Meaning: A New Taxonomy, Benchmark, and Metrics for VLM Image Tampering

Existing tampering detection benchmarks largely rely on object masks, which severely misalign with the true edit signal: many pixels inside a mask are untouched or only trivially modified, while subtle yet consequential edits outside the mask are treated as natural. We reformulate VLM image tampering from coarse region labels to a pixel-grounded, meaning and language-aware task. First, we introduce a taxonomy spanning edit primitives (replace/remove/splice/inpaint/attribute/colorization, etc.) and their semantic class of tampered object, linking low-level changes to high-level understanding. Second, we release a new benchmark with per-pixel tamper maps and paired category supervision to evaluate detection and classification within a unified protocol. Third, we propose a training framework and evaluation metrics that quantify pixel-level correctness with localization to assess confidence or prediction on true edit intensity, and further measure tamper meaning understanding via semantics-aware classification and natural language descriptions for the predicted regions. We also re-evaluate the existing strong segmentation/localization baselines on recent strong tamper detectors and reveal substantial over- and under-scoring using mask-only metrics, and expose failure modes on micro-edits and off-mask changes. Our framework advances the field from masks to pixels, meanings and language descriptions, establishing a rigorous standard for tamper localization, semantic classification and description. PhysGM: Large Physical Gaussian Model for Feed-Forward 4D Synthesis

Despite advances in physics-based 3D motion synthesis, current methods face key limitations: reliance on pre-reconstructed 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) built from dense multi-view images with time-consuming per-scene optimization; physics integration via either inflexible, hand-specified attributes or unstable, optimization-heavy guidance from video models using Score Distillation Sampling (SDS); and naive concatenation of prebuilt 3DGS with physics modules, which ignores physical information embedded in appearance and yields suboptimal performance. To address these issues, we propose PhysGM, a feed-forward framework that jointly predicts 3D Gaussian representation and physical properties from a single image, enabling immediate simulation and high-fidelity 4D rendering. Unlike slow appearance-agnostic optimization methods, we first pre-train a physics-aware reconstruction model that directly infers both Gaussian and physical parameters. We further refine the model with Direct Preference Optimization (DPO), aligning simulations with the physically plausible reference videos and avoiding the high-cost SDS optimization. To address the absence of a supporting dataset for this task, we propose PhysAssets, a dataset of 50K+ 3D assets annotated with physical properties and corresponding reference videos. Experiments show that PhysGM produces high-fidelity 4D simulations from a single image in one minute, achieving a significant speedup over prior work while delivering realistic renderings. Gravitational-wave constraints on noncommutative spacetime from GW190814

Recent advances in noncommutative geometry and string theory have stimulated increasing research on noncommutative gravity. The detection of gravitational waves~(GW) opens a new window for testing this theory using observed data. In particular, the leading correction from noncommutative gravity to the GW of compact binary coalescences appears at the second post-Newtonian~(2PN) order. This correction is proportional to the dimensionless parameter $Λ\equiv|θ^{0i}|/(l_Pt_P)$, where $θ^{0i}$ denotes the antisymmetric tensor characterizing noncommutative spacetime, and $l_P, t_P$ represent the Plank length and time, respectively. Previous study have used the phase deviation from general relativity at the 2PN order, as measured in GW150914, to constrain noncommutative gravity, resulting in an upper bound of $\sqrtΛ\lesssim3.5$. Another analysis, based on multiple events from the GWTC-1 catalog, has obtained consistent bounds. In this work, we construct the noncommutative gravity waveform in the Parameterized Post-Einsteinian framework. Based on the \texttt{IMRPhenomXHM} template, we incorporate both the dominant (2,2) mode and several higher-order modes, including (2,1), (3,3), (3,2), and (4,4). We first reanalyze the GW150914 with a Bayesian parameter estimation and derive a 95th percentile upper bound on noncommutative gravity, obtaining $\sqrtΛ<0.68$. We then analyze GW190814 and obtain an even tighter 95th percentile upper bound of $\sqrtΛ<0.46$, which corresponds to a characteristic noncommutative gravity energy scale above $2.2\,E_P$ or a length scale below $0.46\,l_P$. This represent the strongest constraint on noncommutative gravity derived from real GW observations to date.

FuXiWeather2: Learning accurate atmospheric state estimation for operational global weather forecasting

Numerical weather prediction has long been constrained by the computational bottlenecks inherent in data assimilation and numerical modeling. While machine learning has accelerated forecasting, existing models largely serve as "emulators of reanalysis products," thereby retaining their systematic biases and operational latencies. Here, we present FuXiWeather2, a unified end-to-end neural framework for assimilation and forecasting. We align training objectives directly with a combination of real-world observations and reanalysis data, enabling the framework to effectively rectify inherent errors within reanalysis products. To address the distribution shift between NWP-derived background inputs during training and self-generated backgrounds during deployment, we introduce a recursive unrolling training method to enhance the precision and stability of analysis generation. Furthermore, our model is trained on a hybrid dataset of raw and simulated observations to mitigate the impact of observational distribution inconsistency. FuXiWeather2 generates high-resolution ($0.25^{\circ}$) global analysis fields and 10-day forecasts within minutes. The analysis fields surpass the NCEP-GFS across most variables and demonstrate superior accuracy over both ERA5 and the ECMWF-HRES system in lower-tropospheric and surface variables. These high-quality analysis fields drive deterministic forecasts that exceed the skill of the HRES system in 91\% of evaluated metrics. Additionally, its outstanding performance in typhoon track prediction underscores its practical value for rapid response to extreme weather events. The FuXiWeather2 analysis dataset is available at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18872728.

AnyCrowd: Instance-Isolated Identity-Pose Binding for Arbitrary Multi-Character Animation

Controllable character animation has advanced rapidly in recent years, yet multi-character animation remains underexplored. As the number of characters grows, multi-character reference encoding becomes more susceptible to latent identity entanglement, resulting in identity bleeding and reduced controllability. Moreover, learning precise and spatio-temporally consistent correspondences between reference identities and driving pose sequences becomes increasingly challenging, often leading to identity-pose mis-binding and inconsistency in generated videos. To address these challenges, we propose AnyCrowd, a Diffusion Transformer (DiT)-based video generation framework capable of scaling to an arbitrary number of characters. Specifically, we first introduce an Instance-Isolated Latent Representation (IILR), which encodes character instances independently prior to DiT processing to prevent latent identity entanglement. Building on this disentangled representation, we further propose Tri-Stage Decoupled Attention (TSDA) to bind identities to driving poses by decomposing self-attention into: (i) instance-aware foreground attention, (ii) background-centric interaction, and (iii) global foreground-background coordination. Furthermore, to mitigate token ambiguity in overlapping regions, an Adaptive Gated Fusion (AGF) module is integrated within TSDA to predict identity-aware weights, effectively fusing competing token groups into identity-consistent representations...

Where Digital Meets Place: Deriving Strategies for Curating Mixed Reality Exhibitions in Public Spaces

Mixed Reality (MR) technologies are increasingly being used to enrich exhibitions and public spaces by blending digital content with the physical environment in real time. However, little is known about curatorial strategies for embedding MR exhibitions into public spaces or promoting audience experiences. To explore this, we designed and curated a campus-based MR art exhibition, using contextualism as the fundamental concept. We conducted an interdisciplinary expert focus group alongside exhibition viewing to identify opportunities, challenges, and design strategies from multiple perspectives. In parallel, we conducted user studies with general audiences to examine how curatorial strategies foster ex-periential qualities. Our findings reveal insights from both experts and general users along with strategies in curating MR exhibitions and highlight the foundational role of contextualism in curating MR art exhibitions in urban public spaces.

SegQuant: A Semantics-Aware and Generalizable Quantization Framework for Diffusion Models

Diffusion models have demonstrated exceptional generative capabilities but are computationally intensive, posing significant challenges for deployment in resource-constrained or latency-sensitive environments. Quantization offers an effective means to reduce model size and computational cost, with post-training quantization (PTQ) being particularly appealing due to its compatibility with pre-trained models without requiring retraining or training data. However, existing PTQ methods for diffusion models often rely on architecture-specific heuristics that limit their generalizability and hinder integration with industrial deployment pipelines. To address these limitations, we propose SegQuant, a unified quantization framework that adaptively combines complementary techniques to enhance cross-model versatility. SegQuant consists of a segment-aware, graph-based quantization strategy (SegLinear) that captures structural semantics and spatial heterogeneity, along with a dual-scale quantization scheme (DualScale) that preserves polarity-asymmetric activations, which is crucial for maintaining visual fidelity in generated outputs. SegQuant is broadly applicable beyond Transformer-based diffusion models, achieving strong performance while ensuring seamless compatibility with mainstream deployment tools.

PA-Net: Precipitation-Adaptive Mixture-of-Experts for Long-Tail Rainfall Nowcasting

Precipitation nowcasting is vital for flood warning, agricultural management, and emergency response, yet two bottlenecks persist: the prohibitive cost of modeling million-scale spatiotemporal tokens from multi-variate atmospheric fields, and the extreme long-tailed rainfall distribution where heavy-to-torrential events -- those of greatest societal impact -- constitute fewer than 0.1% of all samples. We propose the Precipitation-Adaptive Network (PA-Net), a Transformer framework whose computational budget is explicitly governed by rainfall intensity. Its core component, Precipitation-Adaptive MoE (PA-MoE), dynamically scales the number of activated experts per token according to local precipitation magnitude, channeling richer representational capacity toward the rare yet critical heavy-rainfall tail. A Dual-Axis Compressed Latent Attention mechanism factorizes spatiotemporal attention with convolutional reduction to manage massive context lengths, while an intensity-aware training protocol progressively amplifies learning signals from extreme-rainfall samples. Experiment on ERA5 demonstrate consistent improvements over state-of-the-art baselines, with particularly significant gains in heavy-rain and rainstorm regimes.

Digital Hydrogen Platform (DigHyd): A Rigorously Curated Database for Hydrogen Storage Materials Empowered by AI-Assisted Literature Mining

Solid-state hydrogen storage materials are promising candidates for safe and compact hydrogen storage; however, data-driven discovery in this field remains limited by the availability of large-scale, well-curated datasets. Here, we present the Digital Hydrogen Platform (DigHyd: www.dighyd.org), a rigorously curated database comprising $>4,000$ experimental literature sources and $>30,000$ data entries on hydrogen storage materials, constructed through AI-assisted literature mining combined with human-in-the-loop validation. In addition to gravimetric hydrogen storage density ($w$), DigHyd also covers thermodynamic parameters, specifically the enthalpy ($ΔH$) and entropy ($ΔS$) changes associated with hydrogenation reactions, primarily defined as $M + \frac{1}{2} {\rm H}_2 \rightleftarrows M{\rm H}$. These parameters were obtained by manually analyzing multi-temperature pressure-composition-temperature (PCT) data using van't Hoff analysis. By focusing on $ΔH$ and $ΔS$ rather than fixing equilibrium pressure at a single temperature, DigHyd enables flexible evaluation of equilibrium behavior under application-specific operating conditions. Statistical analyses reveal distinct distributions of thermodynamic parameters across material classes, together with broad compositional variability within representative hydride systems. Furthermore, both physically interpretable symbolic regression and black-box XGBoost models achieve comparable predictive performance for $w$ and equilibrium pressure at room temperature ($P_{\rm eq,RT}$), demonstrating internal consistency and learnable composition-property relationships within the curated dataset. Overall, DigHyd provides a rigorously curated thermodynamic dataset that serves as a reliable basis for data-driven analyses of hydrogen storage materials and supports systematic exploration of structure-property relationships.

Omni-Video: Democratizing Unified Video Understanding and Generation

Notable breakthroughs in unified understanding and generation modeling have led to remarkable advancements in image understanding, reasoning, production and editing, yet current foundational models predominantly focus on processing images, creating a gap in the development of unified models for video understanding and generation. This report presents Omni-Video, an efficient and effective unified framework for video understanding, generation, as well as instruction-based editing. Our key insight is to teach existing multimodal large language models (MLLMs) to produce continuous visual clues that are used as the input of diffusion decoders, which produce high-quality videos conditioned on these visual clues. To fully unlock the potential of our system for unified video modeling, we integrate several technical improvements: 1) a lightweight architectural design that respectively attaches a vision head on the top of MLLMs and a adapter before the input of diffusion decoders, the former produce visual tokens for the latter, which adapts these visual tokens to the conditional space of diffusion decoders; and 2) an efficient multi-stage training scheme that facilitates a fast connection between MLLMs and diffusion decoders with limited data and computational resources. We empirically demonstrate that our model exhibits satisfactory generalization abilities across video generation, editing and understanding tasks.

Omni-Video 2: Scaling MLLM-Conditioned Diffusion for Unified Video Generation and Editing

We present Omni-Video 2, a scalable and computationally efficient model that connects pretrained multimodal large-language models (MLLMs) with video diffusion models for unified video generation and editing. Our key idea is to exploit the understanding and reasoning capabilities of MLLMs to produce explicit target captions to interpret user instructions. In this way, the rich contextual representations from the understanding model are directly used to guide the generative process, thereby improving performance on complex and compositional editing. Moreover, a lightweight adapter is developed to inject multimodal conditional tokens into pretrained text-to-video diffusion models, allowing maximum reuse of their powerful generative priors in a parameter-efficient manner. Benefiting from these designs, we scale up Omni-Video 2 to a 14B video diffusion model on meticulously curated training data with quality, supporting high quality text-to-video generation and various video editing tasks such as object removal, addition, background change, complex motion editing, \emph{etc.} We evaluate the performance of Omni-Video 2 on the FiVE benchmark for fine-grained video editing and the VBench benchmark for text-to-video generation. The results demonstrate its superior ability to follow complex compositional instructions in video editing, while also achieving competitive or superior quality in video generation tasks.

VERDICT: Verifiable Evolving Reasoning with Directive-Informed Collegial Teams for Legal Judgment Prediction

Legal Judgment Prediction (LJP) predicts applicable law articles, charges, and penalty terms from case facts. Beyond accuracy, LJP calls for intrinsically interpretable and legally grounded reasoning that can reconcile statutory rules with precedent-informed standards. However, existing methods often behave as static, one-shot predictors, providing limited procedural support for verifiable reasoning and little capability to adapt as jurisprudential practice evolves. We propose VERDICT, a self-refining collaborative multi-agent framework that simulates a virtual collegial panel. VERDICT assigns specialized agents to complementary roles (e.g., fact structuring, legal retrieval, opinion drafting, and supervisory verification) and coordinates them in a traceable draft--verify--revise workflow with explicit Pass/Reject feedback, producing verifiable reasoning traces and revision rationales. To capture evolving case experience, we further introduce a Hybrid Jurisprudential Memory (HJM) grounded in the Micro-Directive Paradigm, which stores precedent standards and continually distills validated multi-agent verification trajectories into updated Micro-Directives for continual learning across cases. We evaluate VERDICT on CAIL2018 and a newly constructed CJO2025 dataset with a strict future time-split for temporal generalization. VERDICT achieves state-of-the-art performance on CAIL2018 and demonstrates strong generalization on CJO2025. To facilitate reproducibility and further research, we release our code and the dataset at https://anonymous.4open.science/r/ARR-4437.

Full Classification of Static Spherical Vacuum Solutions to Bumblebee Gravity with General VEVs

The static spherical vacuum solution in a bumblebee gravity model where the bumblebee field $B_μ$ has a two-component space-like, light-like, and time-like vacuum expectation value $b_μ$ is studied. Based on the results, we present a comprehensive classification of the static spherical vacuum solutions in bumblebee gravity with general vacuum expectation values. We find that the model becomes degenerate for a specific set of parameter combinations, where the solution can be characterized by an arbitrary function, which indicates that the non-minimally coupled massless vector tensor theory is ill-defined when $ξ=κ/2$. We also find that contrary to the situation in general relativity, the bumblebee gravity admits the exact Schwarzschild solution with non-zero matter distributions of certain forms. The implications of this result are discussed, suggesting that the experimental constraints within the solar system would be invalid.

Spatial-TTT: Streaming Visual-based Spatial Intelligence with Test-Time Training

Humans perceive and understand real-world spaces through a stream of visual observations. Therefore, the ability to streamingly maintain and update spatial evidence from potentially unbounded video streams is essential for spatial intelligence. The core challenge is not simply longer context windows but how spatial information is selected, organized, and retained over time. In this paper, we propose Spatial-TTT towards streaming visual-based spatial intelligence with test-time training (TTT), which adapts a subset of parameters (fast weights) to capture and organize spatial evidence over long-horizon scene videos. Specifically, we design a hybrid architecture and adopt large-chunk updates parallel with sliding-window attention for efficient spatial video processing. To further promote spatial awareness, we introduce a spatial-predictive mechanism applied to TTT layers with 3D spatiotemporal convolution, which encourages the model to capture geometric correspondence and temporal continuity across frames. Beyond architecture design, we construct a dataset with dense 3D spatial descriptions, which guides the model to update its fast weights to memorize and organize global 3D spatial signals in a structured manner. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Spatial-TTT improves long-horizon spatial understanding and achieves state-of-the-art performance on video spatial benchmarks. FutureVLA: Joint Visuomotor Prediction for Vision-Language-Action Model

Predictive foresight is important to intelligent embodied agents. Since the motor execution of a robot is intrinsically constrained by its visual perception of environmental geometry, effectively anticipating the future requires capturing this tightly coupled visuomotor interplay. While recent vision-language-action models attempt to incorporate future guidance, they struggle with this joint modeling. Existing explicit methods divert capacity to task-irrelevant visual details, whereas implicit methods relying on sparse frame pairs disrupt temporal continuity. By heavily relying on visual reconstruction, these methods become visually dominated, entangling static scene context with dynamic action intent. We argue that effective joint visuomotor predictive modeling requires both temporal continuity and visually-conditioned supervision decoupling. To this end, we propose FutureVLA, featuring a novel Joint Visuomotor Predictive Architecture. FutureVLA is designed to extract joint visuomotor embeddings by first decoupling visual and motor information, and then jointly encoding generalized physical priors. Specifically, in the pretraining stage, we leverage heterogeneous manipulation datasets and introduce a Joint Visuomotor Gating mechanism to structurally separate visual state preservation from temporal action modeling. It allows the motor stream to focus on continuous physical dynamics while explicitly querying visual tokens for environmental constraints, yielding highly generalizable joint visuomotor embeddings. Subsequently, in the post-training stage, we employ a latent embeddings alignment strategy, enabling diverse downstream VLA models to internalize these temporal priors without modifying their inference architectures. Extensive experiments demonstrate that FutureVLA consistently improves VLA frameworks.

From Spatial to Actions: Grounding Vision-Language-Action Model in Spatial Foundation Priors

Existing vision-language-action (VLA) models act in 3D real-world but are typically built on 2D encoders, leaving a spatial reasoning gap that limits generalization and adaptability. Recent 3D integration techniques for VLAs either require specialized sensors and transfer poorly across modalities, or inject weak cues that lack geometry and degrade vision-language alignment. In this work, we introduce FALCON (From Spatial to Action), a novel paradigm that injects rich 3D spatial tokens into the action head. FALCON leverages spatial foundation models to deliver strong geometric priors from RGB alone, and includes an Embodied Spatial Model that can optionally fuse depth, or pose for higher fidelity when available, without retraining or architectural changes. To preserve language reasoning, spatial tokens are consumed by a Spatial-Enhanced Action Head rather than being concatenated into the vision-language backbone. These designs enable FALCON to address limitations in spatial representation, modality transferability, and alignment. In comprehensive evaluations across three simulation benchmarks and eleven real-world tasks, our proposed FALCON achieves state-of-the-art performance, consistently surpasses competitive baselines, and remains robust under clutter, spatial-prompt conditioning, and variations in object scale and height.

LangSurf: Language-Embedded Surface Gaussians for 3D Scene Understanding

Applying Gaussian Splatting to perception tasks for 3D scene understanding is becoming increasingly popular. Most existing works primarily focus on rendering 2D feature maps from novel viewpoints, which leads to an imprecise 3D language field with outlier languages, ultimately failing to align objects in 3D space. By utilizing masked images for feature extraction, these approaches also lack essential contextual information, leading to inaccurate feature representation. To this end, we propose a Language-Embedded Surface Field (LangSurf), which accurately aligns the 3D language fields with the surface of objects, facilitating precise 2D and 3D segmentation with text query, widely expanding the downstream tasks such as removal and editing. The core of LangSurf is a joint training strategy that flattens the language Gaussian on the object surfaces using geometry supervision and contrastive losses to assign accurate language features to the Gaussians of objects. In addition, we also introduce the Hierarchical-Context Awareness Module to extract features at the image level for contextual information then perform hierarchical mask pooling using masks segmented by SAM to obtain fine-grained language features in different hierarchies. Extensive experiments on open-vocabulary 2D and 3D semantic segmentation demonstrate that LangSurf outperforms the previous state-of-the-art method LangSplat by a large margin. As shown in Fig. 1, our method is capable of segmenting objects in 3D space, thus boosting the effectiveness of our approach in instance recognition, removal, and editing, which is also supported by comprehensive experiments. https://langsurf.github.io.

ExGS: Extreme 3D Gaussian Compression with Diffusion Priors

Neural scene representations, such as 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), have enabled high-quality neural rendering; however, their large storage and transmission costs hinder deployment in resource-constrained environments. Existing compression methods either rely on costly optimization, which is slow and scene-specific, or adopt training-free pruning and quantization, which degrade rendering quality under high compression ratios. In contrast, recent data-driven approaches provide a promising direction to overcome this trade-off, enabling efficient compression while preserving high rendering quality. We introduce ExGS, a novel feed-forward framework that unifies Universal Gaussian Compression (UGC) with GaussPainter for Extreme 3DGS compression. UGC performs re-optimization-free pruning to aggressively reduce Gaussian primitives while retaining only essential information, whereas GaussPainter leverages powerful diffusion priors with mask-guided refinement to restore high-quality renderings from heavily pruned Gaussian scenes. Unlike conventional inpainting, GaussPainter not only fills in missing regions but also enhances visible pixels, yielding substantial improvements in degraded renderings. To ensure practicality, it adopts a lightweight VAE and a one-step diffusion design, enabling real-time restoration. Our framework can even achieve over 100X compression (reducing a typical 354.77 MB model to about 3.31 MB) while preserving fidelity and significantly improving image quality under challenging conditions. These results highlight the central role of diffusion priors in bridging the gap between extreme compression and high-quality neural rendering. Our code repository will be released at: https://github.com/chenttt2001/ExGS
