Bismut-Torsion-Parallel Hermitian Manifolds With Constant Chern Holomorphic Sectional Curvature

A well-known conjecture in complex geometry states that a compact Hermitian manifold with constant Chern holomorphic sectional curvature must be K\"ahler when the constant is nonzero and Chern flat when the constant is zero. The conjecture is known in complex dimension two and in several special classes in higher dimensions. For Hermitian metrics with Bismut-parallel torsion, the non-balanced case and the balanced threefold case were established by Chen--Zheng, while the balanced fourfold case was settled recently by Wang--Zheng. In this article, we prove the nonzero case for balanced Bismut-torsion-parallel Hermitian manifolds in every complex dimension. As a corollary, we confirm that every BTP Hermitian manifold with Chern holomorphic sectional curvature is a nonzero constant, then $g$ is K\"ahler.

Imaginary coupling induced Dirac points and group velocity control in non-reciprocal Hermitian Lattice

We propose a mechanism to achieve the group velocity control of bifurcation light via an imaginary coupling effect in the non-reciprocal lattice. The physical model is composed of two-layer photonic lattices with non-reciprocal coupling in each unit cell, which can support a real energy spectrum with a pair of Dirac points in the first Brillouin zone due to the Hermicity. Furthermore, we show that the systems experience topological phase transition at the Dirac points by tuning the coupling strength, allowing the existence of topological edge states on the left or right boundaries of respective lattice layers. By adjusting the imaginary coupling and the wave number, the group velocity of the light wave can be manipulated, and bifurcation light transmission can be achieved both at the Dirac points and the condition without the group velocity dispersion. Our work might guide the design of photonic directional couplers with group velocity control functions.

The generalizations of fuzzy monoids and vague monoids

In this paper, we present the fuzzy monoids and vague monoids by using aggregation operators. The unit interval with a $t$-norm or a $t$-conorm is a special monoid, so we mainly talk about fuzzy subsets of monoids. Firstly, the classification of fuzzy sets based on some special aggregation operators is discussed. At the same time, we give two basic propositions about submonoids of $t$-norm and $t$-conorm. The fuzzification by uninorm and nullnorm are denoted and some properties can be drawn. Next, we briefly present fuzzy subsets on lattice. Finally, the vague monoids on aggregation operators are redefined and further consider the special cases of uninorms and nullnorms.

Some properties of fuzzy $t$-norm and vague $t$-norm

Rosenfeld defined a fuzzy subgroup of group $G$ as a fuzzy subset of $G$ with two special conditions attached\cite{Rosenfeld1971Fuzzysubgroups}. In this paper, we introduce the fuzzy $t$-norms and vague $t$-norms. The unit interval with a $t$-norm or a $t$-conorm is a special monoid, so we mainly talk about fuzzy subsets of monoids and vague monoids. Firstly, we generalize some properties of $t$-norm to fuzzy $t$-subnorm, so that we can analyze and classify the fuzzy $t$-norms. Further, we explore specific research on these properties of the vague $t$-norm. In addition, the concept of lattice is introduced, and then the present conclusions are extended to bounded lattices. Finally, we define the concept of fuzzy monoids by aggregate functions, uninorms, nullnorms and draw the relevant results.

Anti-parity-time topologically undefined state

We constructed an anti-parity-time-symmetric photonic lattice by using perturbations. The results show the topological state will appear when the waveguide coupling constants $κ_1<κ_2$; Interestingly, a state with undefined winding numbers occurs when $κ_1=κ_2$, in which the light distributes only in the wide waveguides with equal magnitude distribution. Further studies show that the edge state will be strengthened by introducing defect for the topologically non-trivial case, while it will not affect the equal intensity transmission for the topologically undefined state. Our work provides a new way to realize the topological state and equally divided light transmission and might be applicable in optical circuits and optical interconnect.

Anomalous reflection at the interface of binary synthetic photonic lattices

We construct a binary synthetic photonic lattice theoretically with an effective magnetic field by projecting two fiber loops' light intensity and adjusting the phase distribution precisely. By tuning the phase modulator, wave vector, and propagation constant of an effective waveguide, the interface's transmittance could be manipulated. Further light dynamics show that the light pulse can achieve total reflection without diffraction and exchanges the light energy in two optical fiber loops completely when phase distribution and wave vector meet certain conditions. Our study may provide a new way to realize optical switches in optical interconnection and optical communication.

PT-symmetric topological near-zero interface state

Photonic systems with parity-time (PT) symmetry and topology are attracting considerable attentions. In this work, topological near-zero edge states are studied in PT-symmetric photonic lattice and the results indicate that the near-zero edge states can be broken spontaneously in spite of the unbroken PT symmetry. To achieve the stable topological near-zero mode, a binary lattice with carefully designed PT-symmetric is proposed. Further study shows such a structure supports a stable topological interface state experiences phase transition similar to the bulk states in infinite lattice and thus possess real-eigenvalues even with unbroken PT phase. Our study enriches the content of non-Hermitian topological physics and might have potential applications in the fields of topological lasing and quantum computation.

Genus 3 curves whose Jacobians have endomorphisms by $Q(ζ_7 + \overlineζ_7)$

In this work we consider constructions of genus three curves $X$ such that $\mathrm{End}(\mathrm{Jac}(X)) \otimes Q$ contains the totally real cubic number field $Q(ζ_ 7 + \overlineζ_7)$. We construct explicit two-dimensional families defined over $Q(s; t)$ whose generic member is a nonhyperelliptic genus 3 curve with this property. The case when X is hyperelliptic was studied by the authors Hoffman and Wang in a previous work. We calculate the zeta function of one of these curves. Conjecturally this zeta function is described by a modular form.

Regularity and Resolutions for Multigraded Modules

This paper is concerned with the relationships between two concepts, vanishing of cohomology groups and the structure of free resolutions. In particular, we study the connection between vanishing theorems for the local cohomology of multigraded modules and the structure of their free multigraded resolutions.

Multigraded regularity: coarsenings and resolutions

Let S = k[x_1,...,x_n] be a Z^r-graded ring with deg (x_i) = a_i \in Z^r for each i and suppose that M is a finitely generated Z^r-graded S-module. In this paper we describe how to find finite subsets of Z^r containing the multidegrees of the minimal multigraded syzygies of M. To find such a set, we first coarsen the grading of M so that we can view M as a Z-graded S-module. We use a generalized notion of Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity, which was introduced by D. Maclagan and G. Smith, to associate to M a number which we call the regularity number of M. The minimal degrees of the multigraded minimal syzygies are bounded in terms of this invariant.
