Bounded Multilinear Functionals and Multicontinuous Functions on n-Normed Spaces

In this paper, we introduced some notions on the n-Normed Spaces. Those are bounded k-linear (or multilinear) functionals and k-continuous (or multicontinuous) functions with k \in \mathbb{N}. We defined k-linear functionals under several types of boundedness, and constructed the corresponding dual spaces based on each type of boundedness. We then proved that these types of boundedness are actually equivalent. This means the boundedness of a multilinear functional can be verified using any of the equivalent notions of boundedness that we defined earlier. The equivalent also implies that all of the resulting dual spaces are identical as a set. We also defined two norms on the dual spaces and showed that both norms are equivalent. Moreover, we gave some examples of bounded k-linear functionals on an n-normed space and calculated their norms with respect to the types of boundedness. We also defined a new notion of k-continuous function in n-normed spaces. Then we gave a relation between the bounded k-linear functional and k-continuous function in n-normed spaces.

Rainfall Forecasting Using Wavelet Transform (Case Study: Rainfall period of West Seram District of Maluku Province-Indonesia)

West Seram District is an area of Maluku Province that has high rainfall intensity. Trend of erratic weather changes nowadays makes it important to know the information about rainfall intensity. To know this information, we need to know about rainfall period. This will give some contributions to forecast the rainfall later. Rainfall forecasting plays an important role in water resources management. It also can be used to control the unusual event related to rainfall. In this paper, we use Wavelet transform to analyze rainfall data of West Seram District of Maluku Province-Indonesia. The data that we use is data of monthly rainfall from 1991-2016 from Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics agency in Ambon-Maluku-Indonesia. We also show some simulation results using Matlab.

A Revisit to n-Normed Spaces through Its Quotient Spaces

In this paper, we study some features of n-normed spaces with respect to norms of its quotient spaces. We define continuous functions with respect to the norms of its quotient spaces and show that all types of continuity are equivalent. We also study contractive mappings on n- normed spaces using the same approach. In particular, we prove a fixed point theorem for contractive mappings on a closed and bounded set in an n-normed space.

On the topology of n-normed spaces with respect to norms of its quotient spaces

In this paper, we study some topological characteristics of the n-normed spaces. We observe convergence sequences, closed sets, and bounded sets in the n-normed spaces using norms of quotient spaces that will be constructed. These norms will be a new viewpoint in observing the characteristics of the n-normed spaces. By using these norms, we also review the completeness of the n-normed spaces.
