Short-time dynamics and magnetic critical behavior of two-dimensional random-bond Potts model

The critical behavior in the short-time dynamics for the random-bond Potts ferromagnet in two-dimensions is investigated by short-time dynamic Monte Carlo simulations. The numerical calculations show that this dynamic approach can be applied efficiently to study the scaling characteristic, which is used to estimate the critical exponents theta, beta/nu and z for the quenched disorered systems from the power-law behavior of the kth moments of magnetizations.

Comparison of Multi-quark Matrix Inversion Algorithms

We test iterative algorithms, MR, QMR$γ_5$ and BiCG$γ_5$, to compare their efficiency in matrix inversion with multi-quarks (shifted matrices) within one iteration process. Our results on the 8^3 x 12 and 16^3 x 24 show that MR admits multi-quark calculation with less memory requirement, whereas QMR is faster for the single quark calculation.

Blockspin Scheme and Cluster Algorithm for Quantum Spin Systems

We present a numerical study using a cluster algorithm for the 1-d $S=1/2$ quantum Heisenberg models. The dynamical critical exponent for anti-ferromagnetic chains is $z=0.0(1)$ such that critical slowing down is eliminated.
