Full-Stack High-Volume Quantum Networking Architecture based on Photonic-Integrated Tin Vacancy Centers in Diamond

Solid state quantum emitters are a leading platform for photonic quantum networking with memory nodes. However, the inhomogeneous distribution of quantum emitters, as well as several environmental factors (i.e. strain and electric fields) spread the frequency spectrum of the qubits, making them distinguishable and therefore not a reliable resource for distributed quantum entanglement. In this paper, we demonstrate a full-stack approach to integrating nearly indistinguishable tin vacancy (SnV$^-$) quantum emitters on a frequency-tunable photonic interposer that overcomes the native distribution and static variation of quantum emitters for an indistinguishable photonic quantum networking platform. We demonstrate a silicon nitride-on-insulator photonic integrated circuit (PIC) with accompanying multiphysics digital twin (MPhDT) that guides discovery of SnV$^-$ strain-tuning parameters and informs construction of a multi-channel quantum repeater node. On this node, we achieve the first simultaneous demonstration of spectral tuning of the zero phonon line (ZPL) at GHz scale; coherent electron spin control with gate times of $<80$ ns; strongly- and weakly-coupled nuclear spin detection; and commercial fiber array-coupled readout of a SnV$^-$ center. Finally, we propose and simulate improvements to the architecture that achieve 99.96% connectivity of $ N \sim 1000$ emitters spanning the inhomogeneous distribution of SnV$^-$ centers in strained diamond, where distributed quantum entanglement may be realized.

Visible Spectral-Domain Optical Coherence Tomography for Photonic Integrated Circuits Characterization

Visible photonic integrated circuits underpin applications ranging from AR/VR to quantum control, yet lack a high-resolution, nondestructive diagnostic comparable to the optical frequency-domain reflectometry used in infrared silicon photonics. Here we adapt spectral-domain optical coherence tomography to measure guided-mode back-reflections in visible PICs. Broadband visible light injected into a circuit generates back-reflections that interfere with a depth-referencing local oscillator, and the resulting spectral fringes are recorded on a spectrometer. We validate the approach by resolving multiple round-trip echoes in a waveguide-coupled ring resonator using only single-port access. We then extend it to circuits integrated with diamond quantum micro-chiplets, clearly resolving input and output facets as well as PIC--QMC transition regions. The system achieves shot-noise-limited sensitivity, 50 dB dynamic range, 8 um axial resolution in silicon nitride, and a 2 mm imaging depth at 6 dB roll-off. SD-OCT therefore provides a practical, high-resolution diagnostic for visible PICs that uses a broadband probe source and requires only single-port optical access, enabling rapid characterization of propagation loss, backscattering, and dispersion.

Broadband Spatio-Spectral Mode Conversion via Four-Wave Mixing

We introduce a framework for scalable and broadband free-space phase-matched four-wave mixing in ring resonators. This method for four-wave mixing reduces the complexity of coupling an emitter to a quantum network by combining the spatial and spectral interfaces between them into one nonlinear optical process. The device is compliant with current heterogeneous integration capabilities and has a bandwidth of 165 nm for efficient spatio-spectral conversion. We outline a fabrication-ready diamond-on-insulator pathway towards modular unit cells that natively bridge visible color centers to the infrared spectrum for scalable quantum networks. We also present and analyze an end-to-end framework for considering single-photon coupling efficiency from a color center to a quantum network. This framework represents a step forwards in analyzing and reducing system-scale losses in a spin-photon interface.

Programmable Quantum Photonic Interfaces for Quantum Networking

Quantum networks require interfaces translating memory photons to telecom wavelengths while controlling spatial modes; tasks performed by separate components today. We present a programmable alternative: a structured pump writes a virtual Bragg grating enabling simultaneous spatio-spectral conversion and real-time controlling of emission. Using a LiNbO$_3$ whispering-gallery resonator, we demonstrate 93\% spatial coupling and bidirectional conversion between 736\,nm and 1347\,nm. This reconfigurable interface eliminates cascaded losses and hardware modifications.
