Quantum Mixing for Schrödinger eigenfunctions in Benjamini-Schramm limit

Let $\{X_n\}_{n\in\mathbb{N}}$ be a sequence of compact hyperbolic surfaces which is uniformly discrete and Benjamini-Schramm converges to $\mathbb{H}$ and let $\{V_n\}_{n\in\mathbb{N}}$ be a sequence of potentials such that the $L^2$-norm of $V_n$ is $o(1)$ with respect to the volume of $X_n$. We prove quantum mixing for the eigenfunctions of $-Δ_{X_n}+V_n$ in any sufficiently large spectral window $I$ for bounded observables which are polynomial mixing with respect to the geodesic flow. Examples of such sequences of potentials include point-cloud potentials just below the thermodynamic limit, Hartree potentials for dilute Bose gases in hyperbolic space, and sequences induced by bounded potentials in $L^p(\mathbb{H})$ for some $p>0$. This is the first result of this kind beyond the locally symmetric setting. The proof combines classical geodesic flow mixing on $T^1X_n$, replacing Nevo's ergodic theorem, with the Duhamel formula and recently developed geometric wave-kernel estimates by the first author.

Random moments for the new eigenfunctions of point scatterers on rectangular flat tori

We define a random model for the moments of the new eigenfunctions of a point scat-terer on a 2-dimensional rectangular flat torus. In the deterministic setting,Seba conjectured these moments to be asymptotically Gaussian, in the semi-classical limit. This conjecture was disproved by Kurlberg-Uebersch{ä}r on Diophantine tori. In our model, we describe the accumulation points in distribution of the randomized moments, in the semi-classical limit. We prove that asymptotic Gaussianity holds if and only if some function, modeling the multiplicities of the Laplace eigenfunctions, diverges to +$\infty$.

Superscarred quasimodes on flat surfaces with conical singularities

We construct a continuous family of quasimodes for the Laplace-Beltrami operator on a translation surface. We apply our result to rational polygonal quantum billiards and thus construct a continuous family of quasimodes for the Neumann Laplacian on such domains with spectral width ${\mathcal{O}}_\varepsilon(λ^{3/8+\varepsilon})$. We show that the semiclassical measures associated with this family of quasimodes project to a finite sum of Dirac measures on momentum space, hence, they satisfy Bogomolny and Schmit's superscar conjecture for rational polygons.
