Boogu-Image-0.1: Boosting Open Agentic Multimodal Generation via Understanding under a Minimal Budget

We introduce Boogu-Image-0.1, an open-source unified multimodal understanding and generation model family, comprising Base, Turbo, Edit, and Edit-Turbo variants. It delivers competitive performance in high-quality text-to-image generation, fast inference, instruction-based editing, and bilingual (Chinese-English) text rendering. Closed-source multimodal systems like Nano-Banana-Pro and GPT-Image-2 achieve strong performance through system-level integration rather than a single model, yet their internal practices remain largely undisclosed. In this work, we demonstrate that strengthening the understanding capability of the system, through a stronger multimodal encoder, agentic prompt rewriting, and related techniques, together with improvements in data quality, training pipelines, and agentic inference-time scaling, can substantially enhance generation and editing performance even under highly constrained compute budgets. Comprehensive evaluations show that Boogu-Image-0.1 consistently matches or surpasses other open-source models across standard benchmarks, and achieves results approaching leading closed-source systems. Notably, this is accomplished with only 208.62 million unique images. The base model's theoretical training cost is only approximately \$400K. We share practical discussions that we believe are valuable to the broader research community, and release weights, code, and recipes under Apache 2.0 to advance the open ecosystem for unified multimodal understanding and generation. Open-Weather Robust 3D Detection via Dual-Critic Diffusion Alignment

Robust 3D object detection under adverse weather remains a critical hurdle for autonomous driving. Despite progress with LiDAR-4D radar fusion, most methods are constrained by a closed-world assumption, implicitly requiring training and test weather to align in both type and severity. This premise fails in practice: the open-ended nature of weather, and even variations within a single type like rain, cause dramatically different LiDAR degradation patterns, leading to significant performance drops in unseen conditions. To address this, we present Dual-Critic Guided Diffusion Alignment (DCDA), a weather-agnostic framework that learns to recover degraded LiDAR features toward a clean manifold. Rather than modeling specific weather types, DCDA employs a 4D radar-conditioned diffusion process to progressively refine features, guided by two complementary critics. (i) A detection-guided critic, anchored by a pre-trained clean-weather model, ensures that the refined features retain object-level discriminability and localization accuracy. (ii) A weather adversarial critic enforces holistic distributional consistency with clean-weather representations. By aligning features through semantic and distributional constraints rather than explicit weather modeling, DCDA generalizes effectively to unseen weather types and severities without requiring paired data or weather labels. We further introduce a structured open-weather benchmark with held-out type-severity combinations and extensive experiments verify DCDA's advantages.

AURA: Always-On Understanding and Real-Time Assistance via Video Streams

Video Large Language Models (VideoLLMs) have achieved strong performance on many video understanding tasks, but most existing systems remain offline and are not well-suited for live video streams that require continuous observation and timely response. Recent streaming VideoLLMs have made progress, yet current approaches often rely on decoupled trigger-response pipelines or are limited to captioning-style narration, reducing their effectiveness for open-ended question answering and long-horizon interaction. We propose AURA (Always-On Understanding and Real-Time Assistance), an end-to-end streaming visual interaction framework that enables a unified VideoLLM to continuously process video streams and support both real-time question answering and proactive responses. AURA integrates context management, data construction, training objectives, and deployment optimization for stable long-horizon streaming interaction. It achieves state-of-the-art performance on streaming benchmarks and supports a real-time demo system with ASR and TTS running at 2 FPS on two 80G accelerators. We release the AURA model together with a real-time inference framework to facilitate future research.

Equal Incremental Cost-Based Optimization Method to Enhance Efficiency for IPOP-Type Converters

Systematic optimization over a wide power range is often achieved through the combination of modules of different power levels. This paper addresses the issue of enhancing the efficiency of a multiple module system connected in parallel during operation and proposes an algorithm based on equal incremental cost for dynamic load allocation. Initially, a polynomial fitting technique is employed to fit efficiency test points for individual modules. Subsequently, the equal incremental cost-based optimization is utilized to formulate an efficiency optimization and allocation scheme for the multi-module system. A simulated annealing algorithm is applied to determine the optimal power output strategy for each module at given total power flow requirement. Finally, a dual active bridge (DAB) experimental prototype with two input-parallel-output-parallel (IPOP) configurations is constructed to validate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy. Experimental results demonstrate that under the 800W operating condition, the approach in this paper achieves an efficiency improvement of over 0.74\% by comparison with equal power sharing between both modules.
