CFT derivation of entanglement phase transition in pseudo entropy

In this paper, we discuss the entanglement phase transition of pseudo entropy in CFTs. We focus on the case where the in-state and the out-state are different boundary states related by boundary condition changing operators. We compute the pseudo entropy with BCFT methods and find a phase transition with respect to the conformal weight of the boundary condition changing operators. For holographic CFTs, we confirm that the CFT results match that evaluated in AdS.

Velocity dependence of the mass modifications of $\rho$ and $\omega$ mesons in 12 GeV $p+A$ reactions

This study measured the invariant mass spectra of $\rho$ and $\omega$ mesons in the $e^+e^-$ decay channel for 12 GeV (12.9 GeV/$c$) $p+\mathrm{C}$ and $p+\mathrm{Cu}$ reactions ($\sqrt{s}_{NN}=5.1$ GeV) at the KEK 12-GeV Proton Synchrotron. The measured spectra were divided into three $\beta\gamma$ regions to examine their velocity dependence. Across all regions, significant excesses were observed on the low-mass side of the $\omega$ meson peak, beyond the contributions of known hadronic sources, in the data of the C and Cu targets. Model calculations were subsequently performed to evaluate the magnitudes of the mass modifications of $\rho$ and $\omega$ mesons.

Analysis of spectral modification of $\phi$ mesons at finite density using a transport approach in the 12 GeV pA reactions

The hadron spectrum at finite density is an important observable for exploring the origin of hadron masses. In the KEK-PS E325 experiment, the di-electron decays of phi mesons inside and outside nuclei were measured using 12 GeV pA reactions. In the previous analysis, a significant excess was observed on the low-mass side of the phi meson peak in the data for slow-moving phi mesons ($\beta\gamma=p_{\phi}/m_{\phi}<1.25$) with the Cu target, and in-medium vector meson spectral modification was verified. We newly employed the PHSD transport approach to take into account the time evolution of spatial density distribution of the target nuclei. Consistent with the previous analysis, a significant excess was observed in the present analysis as well. It was found that incorporating momentum dependence into the spectral modification leads to better agreement with the experimental results. For the slow-moving $\phi$ mesons with the Cu target, the newly obtained modification parameters are consistent with those from the previous analysis within the uncertainties.

Brane Cosmology from AdS/BCFT

In this paper, we study the time-dependent dynamics of an end-of-the-world (EOW) brane in AdS with a scalar field localized on the brane. We mainly studied several aspects of holography and cosmology. Standard requirements in the AdS$_{d+1}$/CFT$_d$ lead to a constraint on the conformal dimension in the dS$_d$/CFT$_{d-1}$. We also prove a time-like analog of g-theorem using the null energy condition in the context of AdS$_3$/BCFT$_2$. In the cosmological interpretation, we rewrite the equation of motion of the brane as a Friedman-like equation, which enables us to consider its dynamics in analogy with the ordinal cosmology. And then we classify all possible solutions of the brane when the potential takes a constant value. We find that our brane cosmology model can describe a process of creating a universe via a big-bang. Additionally, we show that when the brane is close to a hyperplane, its effective action is given by a Liouville gravity with a scalar field matter. Finally, we also obtain brane solutions with boost symmetry, which are obtained by analytical continuation of Euclidean branes with a torus topology.

The $g$-theorem from Strong Subadditivity

We show that strong subadditivity provides a simple derivation of the $g$-theorem for the boundary renormalization group flow in two-dimensional conformal field theories. We work out its holographic interpretation and also give a derivation of the $g$-theorem for the case of an interface in two-dimensional conformal field theories. We also geometrically confirm strong subadditivity for holographic duals of conformal field theories on manifolds with boundaries.

Entanglement Phase Transition in Holographic Pseudo Entropy

In this paper, we present holographic descriptions of entanglement phase transition using AdS/BCFT. First, we analytically calculate the holographic pseudo entropy in the AdS/BCFT model with a brane localized scalar field and show the entanglement phase transition behavior where the time evolution of entropy changes from the linear growth to the trivial one via a critical logarithmic evolution. In this model, the imaginary valued scalar field localized on the brane controls the phase transition, which is analogous to the amount of projections in the measurement induced phase transition. Next, we study the AdS/BCFT model with a brane localized gauge field, where the phase transition looks different in that there is no logarithmically evolving critical point. Finally, we discuss a bulk analog of the above model by considering a double Wick rotation of the Janus solution. We compute the holographic pseudo entropy in this model and show that the entropy grows logarithmically.

Numerical analysis of a baryon and its dilatation modes in holographic QCD

We investigate a baryon and its dilatation modes in holographic QCD based on the Sakai-Sugimoto model, which is expressed as a 1+4 dimensional U($N_f$) gauge theory in the flavor space. For spatially rotational symmetric systems, we apply a generalized version of the Witten Ansatz, and reduce 1+4 dimensional holographic QCD into a 1+2 dimensional Abelian Higgs theory in a curved space. In the reduced theory, the holographic baryon is described as a two-dimensional topological object of an Abrikosov vortex. We numerically calculate the baryon solution of holographic QCD using a fine and large lattice with spacing of 0.04 fm and size of 10 fm. Using the relation between the baryon size and the zero-point location of the Higgs field in the description with the Witten Ansatz, we investigate a various-size baryon through this vortex description. As time-dependent size-oscillation modes (dilatation modes) of a baryon, we numerically obtain the lowest excitation energy of 577 MeV and deduce the dilatational excitation of a nucleon to be the Roper resonance N$^*$(1440).

AdS/BCFT with Brane-Localized Scalar Field

In this paper, we study the dynamics of end-of-the-world (EOW) branes in AdS with scalar fields localized on the branes as a new class of gravity duals of CFTs on manifolds with boundaries. This allows us to construct explicit solutions dual to boundary RG flows. We also obtain a variety of annulus-like or cone-like shaped EOW branes, which are not possible without the scalar field. We also present a gravity dual of a CFT on a strip with two different boundary conditions due to the scalar potential, where we find the confinement/deconfinement-like transition as a function of temperature and the scalar potential. Finally, we point out that this phase transition is closely related to the measurement-induced phase transition, via a Wick rotation.
