NLO QCD corrections to Single Top and W associated production at the LHC with forward detector acceptances

In this paper we study the Single Top and W boson associated photoproduction via the main reaction $\rm pp\rightarrow pγp\rightarrow pW^{\pm}t+Y$ at the 14 TeV Large Hadron Collider (LHC) up to next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD level assuming a typical LHC multipurpose forward detector. We use the Five-Flavor-Number Schemes (5FNS) with massless bottom quark assumption in the whole calculation. Our results show that the QCD NLO corrections can reduce the scale uncertainty. The typical K-factors are in the range of 1.15 to 1.2 which lead to the QCD NLO corrections of 15$%$ to 20$%$ correspond to the leading-order (LO) predictions with our chosen parameters.

Flavor changing top quark decay and bottom-strange production in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity

Flavor changing effects on the processes \tch, \eebs, \eebsh and \ppbs in the LHT model are investigated in this paper. We calculate the one-loop level contributions from the T-parity odd mirror quarks and gauge bosons. The results show that the top quark rare decay \tch in the LHT model can be significantly enhanced relative to that in the SM. The $b\bar{s}$ production at linear colliders in the LHT model can enhance the SM cross section a lot and reach 0.1 fb in some parameter space allowed in the experiment. But the heavy gauge boson and mirror fermion loops have small contribution to the processes \ppbs and \eebsh. So the LHT effect on \eebs might be detected at future linear colliders, while it's too small to be seen for the \eebsh and \ppbs processes at future linear colliders and LHC.

Higgs boson pair production in the little Higgs model at hadron colliders

The Higgs boson pair production process at hadron collider provides an opportunity for performing a study of the trilinear Higgs boson self-coupling. In this paper, we analyze the pair production of a neutral Higgs boson via both gluon-gluon and $b$-$\bar{b}$ fusions in the littlest Higgs (LH) model at the CERN LHC. We find that in some parameter space the relative corrections of the total cross section to the SM prediction may reach a value of 24% when $x ~ (=4 f v'/v^2)=0.95$ at the LHC. We conclude that if the parameter $x$ has a value above 0.8, the relative corrections contributed by the LH model reach values beyond 8% and can be observed at the LHC.

Charged Higgs boson pair production via gluon-gluon collisions in MSSM with CP violation

The CP-violating effects to the subprocess $gg\to H^+H^-$ is studied in the mSUGRA scenario at the CERN LHC, by taking into account the experimental bounds of electron and neutron EDM's. The CP violation effects in this process are related to the complex phases of $μ$ and $A_{f}$ in the mSUGRA scenario. In our calculation we consider small CP phases of $μ$ and $A_{f}$ and neglect the effects of neutral Higgs bosons mixing. In this case the CP effects to the process mainly come from the complex couplings of Higgs-squark-squark. We find a strong dependence of charged Higgs boson pair production rate on the complex couplings in the MSSM parameter space.
