CrystalGRPO: Target-Aligned and Coverage-Preserving Reinforcement Learning for Flow-Based Crystal Structure Prediction

Flow-based generative models can efficiently produce candidate structures for crystal structure prediction (CSP), but their pretrained objectives do not directly optimize downstream target recovery. Reinforcement-learning post-training offers a flexible solution, yet existing approaches rely primarily on energy rewards and coordinate-only stochastic policies. Predicted energy does not identify the reference polymorph, while reward-driven concentration can reduce the candidate coverage required for Top-N recovery. We introduce CrystalGRPO, a CSP-aligned post-training framework that extends existing ODE-to-SDE policy constructions to the joint coordinate--lattice state. CrystalGRPO combines MACE-predicted energy with a StructureMatcher-based recovery score and provides two operating modes: CrystalGRPO-Q, which prioritizes single-draw recovery, and CrystalGRPO-C, which combines full-trajectory reference regularization with a coverage-aware group advantage to preserve finite-budget target recovery. Across MP-20 and MPTS-52 with PXRDGen and OMatG backbones, both variants reduce one- and twenty-sample RMSE relative to coordinate-only reinforcement in all four backbone--dataset settings. CrystalGRPO-Q consistently improves Top-1, whereas CrystalGRPO-C achieves a higher Top-20 across all settings.

JoyAI-Talker: Full-Duplex Speech Interactive Large Model Built for Empathetic Voice Agents

We present JoyAI-Talker, a full-duplex speech dialogue system that delivers robust foundation model capabilities while empowering empathetic interaction and voice agent intelligence. JoyAI-Talker adopts a modular Thinker-Talker architecture and further implements a unified speech-text joint training pipeline to mitigate the common "cognitive degradation" bottleneck, thereby largely preserving the model's core textual reasoning, STEM, and logical capabilities while extending them to speech-based interaction. For expressive speech synthesis, the Talker module employs a text-controllable generation paradigm that enables natural-language instructions to flexibly control vocal attributes and localized paralinguistic events, such as laughter and sighs, supporting more expressive and fine-grained speech responses. To enhance conversational empathy, we introduce the Persona-Adaptive Empathetic Response (PAER) framework. PAER employs a hierarchical cognitive pipeline to extract non-verbal speaker cues, such as gender, age, and emotional state, from raw input audio, incorporate them into the Thinker's CoT reasoning, and generate context-adaptive responses that align semantically appropriate text with fine-grained control over utterance-level expressiveness and localized paralinguistic events, including sighs, speaking rate, and volume. We further integrate Joy-Duplex, a state-driven, plug-and-play full-duplex framework that functions as an efficient gating engine for real-time turn control. Extensive evaluations show that JoyAI-Talker achieves highly competitive performance on foundational T2T and S2T benchmarks. In full-duplex evaluation, the system reaches a high response rate of 0.88 under user interruptions while maintaining an extremely low false-trigger rate under background speech, demonstrating its readiness for fluid and natural speech dialogue.

Zero-Fi: Zero-Shot Wi-Fi-Based Human Activity Recognition via Contrastive Signal-Language Alignment

Wi-Fi-based human activity recognition has advanced substantially, but most existing methods assume a closed set of activities and require labeled Wi-Fi samples for every target class, limiting their ability to recognize unseen activities. We present Zero-Fi, a contrastive signal-language alignment framework for zero-shot Wi-Fi-based human activity recognition. Zero-Fi learns unified representations from complementary Wi-Fi signal features and aligns them with the semantic representations of natural-language activity descriptions in a shared embedding space. This cross-modal alignment enables Zero-Fi to recognize new activity classes without requiring labeled Wi-Fi samples or model adaptation for those classes. Experiments on large-scale public benchmark datasets demonstrate effective zero-shot recognition of held-out activity classes, highlighting the potential of signal-language alignment to extend Wi-Fi sensing beyond predefined activity classes.

mmSimPrior: Learning Simulation Priors for Data-Efficient and Generalizable Real-World Radar-based Human Motion Reconstruction

Millimeter-wave (mmWave) radar enables privacy-preserving and illumination-robust human motion reconstruction, but training generalizable models typically requires costly paired radar-motion recordings. Simulation can scale such supervision, yet even physics-based simulators cannot fully reproduce real-world multipath, clutter, hardware-specific response statistics, or distance-dependent resolution degradation, leaving a sim-to-real gap. We present mmSimPrior, a simulation-pretrained framework that factorizes transferable knowledge into signal, motion, and radar-to-motion mapping priors. To learn transferable signal and motion priors, we pretrain a multimodal radar encoder with a physics-informed domain-randomization curriculum designed to mitigate the sim-to-real gap by approximating real-world propagation- and acquisition-level variations, while a joint-temporal tokenizer learns a discrete prior over plausible human motion. A dual-mode mapping module predicts either motion-code distributions for structurally constrained zero-shot reconstruction or continuous motion parameters for flexible adaptation from limited real data. We further construct a 4.2M-frame, 31K-sequence dataset suite and introduce a No-Overlap Setting that prevents any exact subject-environment-location-motion tuple from appearing in both the adaptation and test sets. Experiments on mmSimPrior-Real and RT-Pose demonstrate consistent gains: with only 24 paired real sequences, mmSimPrior-Reg reduces MPJPE by 24.7-39.0% over the strongest baseline across the three environments, while mmSimPrior-Cls reduces zero-shot MPJPE by 8.5% without fine-tuning.

HybridSim: A Physics-Learning Hybrid Digital Twin for mmWave Human Sensing

High-fidelity simulation of mmWave radar signals for dynamic human motion is valuable for developing radar-based human sensing models; yet collecting accurately labeled measurements for a specific deployment site remains expensive. We present HybridSim, a physics-learning hybrid simulator that synthesizes mmWave radar signals from dynamic human meshes under a fixed indoor room configuration, explicitly decoupling propagation into two components. To parameterize the human subject, we use a tri-plane representation to extract human features and a Graph Convolutional Network to stabilize optimization and mitigate gradient instability. The direct signal path is modeled via an inverse-rendering formulation with a microfacet BRDF to capture primary surface reflections. In parallel, the indirect path is approximated by combining 3D Gaussian Splatting with a virtual-receiver geometry to fit and reproduce site-specific multipath interference patterns, achieving substantially lower computational cost than explicit full ray tracing. Experiments in a fixed-room setting show improved agreement with a physically based reference and consistent gains on downstream radar-based human sensing tasks when using HybridSim for site-specific data augmentation.

Ab-initio Crystal Structure Determination from Powder X-Ray Diffraction

Determining crystal structures from powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) has been a significant challenge in materials science, particularly when experimental data contain noise or the target structure has a high complexity. While recent AI generative models show promise for rapid structure generation, they predominantly employ data-driven approaches to learn direct mappings between PXRD patterns and crystal structures, often failing on complex or out-of-distribution cases. In this work, we present a hybrid ab-initio approach that decomposes structure determination into a two-stage optimization problem: (1) discrete selection of space group symmetry, unit cell parameters, and Wyckoff site combinations; and (2) continuous optimization of atomic coordinates within the selected Wyckoff positions. By integrating AI-based techniques for peak profile analysis, density estimation and energy minimization with physics-informed constraints, our method systematically overcomes limitations of purely data-driven PXRD solvers. We demonstrate that this hierarchical optimization framework enables robust structure determination even for challenging cases with high structural complexity or limited experimental data quality. Our approach provides a principled pathway for incorporating crystallographic knowledge into AI models for more reliable and generalizable crystal structure determination.

CLLAP: Contrastive Learning-based LiDAR-Augmented Pretraining for Enhanced Radar-Camera Fusion

Accurate 3D object detection is critical for autonomous driving, necessitating reliable, cost-effective sensors capable of operating in adverse weather conditions. Camera and millimeter-wave radar fusion has emerged as a promising solution; however, these methods often rely on finely annotated radar data, which is scarce and labor-intensive to produce. To address this challenge, we present CLLAP, a Contrastive Learning-based LiDAR-Augmented Pretraining framework that enhances the performance of existing radar-camera fusion methods for 3D object detection. CLLAP leverages abundant LiDAR data to generate pseudo-radar data using the proposed L2R (LiDAR-to-Radar) Sampling method. Then, it incorporates this data into a novel dual-stage, dual-modality contrastive learning strategy, enabling effective self-supervised learning from paired pseudo-radar and image data. This approach facilitates effective pretraining of existing radar-camera fusion models in a plug-and-play manner, enhancing their feature extraction capabilities and improving detection accuracy and robustness. Experimental results using NuScenes and Lyft Level 5 datasets demonstrate significant performance improvements across three baseline models, highlighting CLLAP's effectiveness in advancing radar-camera fusion for autonomous driving applications.

Full-Duplex Interaction in Spoken Dialogue Systems: A Comprehensive Study from the ICASSP 2026 HumDial Challenge

Full-duplex interaction, where speakers and listeners converse simultaneously, is a key element of human communication often missing from traditional spoken dialogue systems. These systems, based on rigid turn-taking paradigms, struggle to respond naturally in dynamic conversations. The Full-Duplex Interaction Track of ICASSP 2026 Human-like Spoken Dialogue Systems Challenge (HumDial Challenge) aims to advance the evaluation of full-duplex systems by offering a framework for handling real-time interruptions, speech overlap, and dynamic turn negotiation. We introduce a comprehensive benchmark for full-duplex spoken dialogue systems, built from the HumDial Challenge. We release a high-quality dual-channel dataset of real human-recorded conversations, capturing interruptions, overlapping speech, and feedback mechanisms. This dataset forms the basis for the HumDial-FDBench benchmark, which assesses a system's ability to handle interruptions while maintaining conversational flow. Additionally, we create a public leaderboard to compare the performance of open-source and proprietary models, promoting transparent, reproducible evaluation. These resources support the development of more responsive, adaptive, and human-like dialogue systems.

LiveGesture Streamable Co-Speech Gesture Generation Model

We propose LiveGesture, the first fully streamable, speech-driven full-body gesture generation framework that operates with zero look-ahead and supports arbitrary sequence length. Unlike existing co-speech gesture methods, which are designed for offline generation and either treat body regions independently or entangle all joints within a single model, LiveGesture is built from the ground up for causal, region-coordinated motion generation. LiveGesture consists of two main modules: the Streamable Vector Quantized Motion Tokenizer (SVQ) and the Hierarchical Autoregressive Transformer (HAR). The SVQ tokenizer converts the motion sequence of each body region into causal, discrete motion tokens, enabling real-time, streamable token decoding. On top of SVQ, HAR employs region-expert autoregressive (xAR) transformers to model expressive, fine-grained motion dynamics for each body region. A causal spatio-temporal fusion module (xAR Fusion) then captures and integrates correlated motion dynamics across regions. Both xAR and xAR Fusion are conditioned on live, continuously arriving audio signals encoded by a streamable causal audio encoder. To enhance robustness under streaming noise and prediction errors, we introduce autoregressive masking training, which leverages uncertainty-guided token masking and random region masking to expose the model to imperfect, partially erroneous histories during training. Experiments on the BEAT2 dataset demonstrate that LiveGesture produces coherent, diverse, and beat-synchronous full-body gestures in real time, matching or surpassing state-of-the-art offline methods under true zero look-ahead conditions.

HumDial-EIBench: A Human-Recorded Multi-Turn Emotional Intelligence Benchmark for Audio Language Models

Evaluating the emotional intelligence (EI) of audio language models (ALMs) is critical. However, existing benchmarks mostly rely on synthesized speech, are limited to single-turn interactions, and depend heavily on open-ended scoring. This paper proposes HumDial-EIBench, a comprehensive benchmark for evaluating ALMs' EI. Using real-recorded human dialogues from the ICASSP 2026 HumDial Challenge, it reformulates emotional tracking and causal reasoning into multiple-choice questions with adversarial distractors, mitigating subjective scoring bias for cognitive tasks. It retains the generation of empathetic responses and introduces an acoustic-semantic conflict task to assess robustness against contradictory multimodal signals. Evaluations of eight ALMs reveal that most models struggle with multi-turn emotional tracking and implicit causal reasoning. Furthermore, all models exhibit decoupled textual and acoustic empathy, alongside a severe text-dominance bias during cross-modal conflicts.

FastTurn: Unifying Acoustic and Streaming Semantic Cues for Low-Latency and Robust Turn Detection

Recent advances in AudioLLMs have enabled spoken dialogue systems to move beyond turn-based interaction toward real-time full-duplex communication, where the agent must decide when to speak, yield, or interrupt while the user is still talking. Existing full-duplex approaches either rely on voice activity cues, which lack semantic understanding, or on ASR-based modules, which introduce latency and degrade under overlapping speech and noise. Moreover, available datasets rarely capture realistic interaction dynamics, limiting evaluation and deployment. To mitigate the problem, we propose \textbf{FastTurn}, a unified framework for low-latency and robust turn detection. To advance latency while maintaining performance, FastTurn combines streaming CTC decoding with acoustic features, enabling early decisions from partial observations while preserving semantic cues. We also release a test set based on real human dialogue, capturing authentic turn transitions, overlapping speech, backchannels, pauses, pitch variation, and environmental noise. Experiments show FastTurn achieves higher decision accuracy with lower interruption latency than representative baselines and remains robust under challenging acoustic conditions, demonstrating its effectiveness for practical full-duplex dialogue systems.

KHMP: Frequency-Domain Kalman Refinement for High-Fidelity Human Motion Prediction

Stochastic human motion prediction aims to generate diverse, plausible futures from observed sequences. Despite advances in generative modeling, existing methods often produce predictions corrupted by high-frequency jitter and temporal discontinuities. To address these challenges, we introduce KHMP, a novel framework featuring an adaptiveKalman filter applied in the DCT domain to generate high-fidelity human motion predictions. By treating high-frequency DCT coefficients as a frequency-indexed noisy signal, the Kalman filter recursively suppresses noise while preserving motion details. Notably, its noise parameters are dynamically adjusted based on estimated Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), enabling aggressive denoising for jittery predictions and conservative filtering for clean motions. This refinement is complemented by training-time physical constraints (temporal smoothness and joint angle limits) that encode biomechanical principles into the generative model. Together, these innovations establish a new paradigm integrating adaptive signal processing with physics-informed learning. Experiments on the Human3.6M and HumanEva-I datasets demonstrate that KHMP achieves state-of-the-art accuracy, effectively mitigating jitter artifacts to produce smooth and physically plausible motions.

Monocular Models are Strong Learners for Multi-View Human Mesh Recovery

Multi-view human mesh recovery (HMR) is broadly deployed in diverse domains where high accuracy and strong generalization are essential. Existing approaches can be broadly grouped into geometry-based and learning-based methods. However, geometry-based methods (e.g., triangulation) rely on cumbersome camera calibration, while learning-based approaches often generalize poorly to unseen camera configurations due to the lack of multi-view training data, limiting their performance in real-world scenarios. To enable calibration-free reconstruction that generalizes to arbitrary camera setups, we propose a training-free framework that leverages pretrained single-view HMR models as strong priors, eliminating the need for multi-view training data. Our method first constructs a robust and consistent multi-view initialization from single-view predictions, and then refines it via test-time optimization guided by multi-view consistency and anatomical constraints. Extensive experiments demonstrate state-of-the-art performance on standard benchmarks, surpassing multi-view models trained with explicit multi-view supervision.

OSUM-Pangu: An Open-Source Multidimension Speech Understanding Foundation Model Built upon OpenPangu on Ascend NPUs

Recent advancements in Speech Large Language Models have significantly enhanced multi-dimensional speech understanding. However, the majority of high-performance frameworks are predominantly optimized for GPU centric ecosystems and proprietary backbones, creating a significant gap for deployment on non-CUDA computing infrastructures. In this paper, we present OSUM-Pangu, a fully open-source speech understanding foundation model developed on a completely non-CUDA software and hardware stack. By integrating an audio encoder with the openPangu-7B LLM backbone, we successfully implement the entire training and inference pipeline on the Ascend NPU platform. To facilitate efficient task alignment under non-CUDA resource constraints, we adopt a practical training process that sequentially bridges speech perception and user intent recognition. Experimental results demonstrate that OSUM-Pangu achieves task accuracy comparable to mainstream GPU-based models while maintaining robust natural language interaction capabilities. Our work provides a reproducible, non-CUDA baseline for the open-source speech community, promoting the independent evolution of multimodal intelligence.

Send Less, Perceive More: Masked Quantized Point Cloud Communication for Loss-Tolerant Collaborative Perception

Collaborative perception allows connected vehicles to overcome occlusions and limited viewpoints by sharing sensory information. However, existing approaches struggle to achieve high accuracy under strict bandwidth constraints and remain highly vulnerable to random transmission packet loss. We introduce QPoint2Comm, a quantized point-cloud communication framework that dramatically reduces bandwidth while preserving high-fidelity 3D information. Instead of transmitting intermediate features, QPoint2Comm directly communicates quantized point-cloud indices using a shared codebook, enabling efficient reconstruction with lower bandwidth than feature-based methods. To ensure robustness to possible communication packet loss, we employ a masked training strategy that simulates random packet loss, allowing the model to maintain strong performance even under severe transmission failures. In addition, a cascade attention fusion module is proposed to enhance multi-vehicle information integration. Extensive experiments on both simulated and real-world datasets demonstrate that QPoint2Comm sets a new state of the art in accuracy, communication efficiency, and resilience to packet loss.

Crystal Representation in the Reciprocal Space

In crystallography, a structure is typically represented by the arrangement of atoms in the direct space. Furthermore, space group symmetry and Wyckoff site notations are applied to characterize crystal structures with only a few variables. While this representation is effective for data records and human learning, it lacks one-to-one correspondence between the crystal structure and its representation. This is problematic for many applications, such as crystal structure determination, comparison, and more recently, generative model learning. To address this issue, we propose to represent crystals in a four-dimensional (4D) reciprocal space featured by their Cartesian coordinates and scattering factors, which can naturally handle translation invariance and space group symmetry with the help of structure factors. In order to achieve rotational invariance, the 4D coordinates are then transformed into a power spectrum representation under the orthogonal spherical harmonic and radial basis. Hence, this representation captures both periodicity and symmetry of the crystal structure while also providing a continuous representation of the atomic positions and cell parameters in the direct space. Its effectiveness is demonstrated by applying it to several crystal structure matching and reconstruction tasks.

WenetSpeech-Wu: Datasets, Benchmarks, and Models for a Unified Chinese Wu Dialect Speech Processing Ecosystem

Speech processing for low-resource dialects remains a fundamental challenge in developing inclusive and robust speech technologies. Despite its linguistic significance and large speaker population, the Wu dialect of Chinese has long been hindered by the lack of large-scale speech data, standardized evaluation benchmarks, and publicly available models. In this work, we present WenetSpeech-Wu, the first large-scale, multi-dimensionally annotated open-source speech corpus for the Wu dialect, comprising approximately 8,000 hours of diverse speech data. Building upon this dataset, we introduce WenetSpeech-Wu-Bench, the first standardized and publicly accessible benchmark for systematic evaluation of Wu dialect speech processing, covering automatic speech recognition (ASR), Wu-to-Mandarin translation, speaker attribute prediction, speech emotion recognition, text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis, and instruction-following TTS (instruct TTS). Furthermore, we release a suite of strong open-source models trained on WenetSpeech-Wu, establishing competitive performance across multiple tasks and empirically validating the effectiveness of the proposed dataset. Together, these contributions lay the foundation for a comprehensive Wu dialect speech processing ecosystem, and we open-source proposed datasets, benchmarks, and models to support future research on dialectal speech intelligence.

The ICASSP 2026 HumDial Challenge: Benchmarking Human-like Spoken Dialogue Systems in the LLM Era

Driven by the rapid advancement of Large Language Models (LLMs), particularly Audio-LLMs and Omni-models, spoken dialogue systems have evolved significantly, progressively narrowing the gap between human-machine and human-human interactions. Achieving truly ``human-like'' communication necessitates a dual capability: emotional intelligence to perceive and resonate with users' emotional states, and robust interaction mechanisms to navigate the dynamic, natural flow of conversation, such as real-time turn-taking. Therefore, we launched the first Human-like Spoken Dialogue Systems Challenge (HumDial) at ICASSP 2026 to benchmark these dual capabilities. Anchored by a sizable dataset derived from authentic human conversations, this initiative establishes a fair evaluation platform across two tracks: (1) Emotional Intelligence, targeting long-term emotion understanding and empathetic generation; and (2) Full-Duplex Interaction, systematically evaluating real-time decision-making under `` listening-while-speaking'' conditions. This paper summarizes the dataset, track configurations, and the final results.
