The HTC-Claw: Automating Discovery through High-Throughput Computational Campaigns

With the advancement of the Materials Genome Initiative, high-throughput computation has become central to accelerating materials discovery. However, conventional first-principles workflows are cumbersome and error-prone. Existing high-throughput tools, while efficient at batch job submission, lack intelligence: they cannot automatically plan tasks based on scientific objectives or dynamically adapt workflows according to intermediate results. To address these limitations, this paper proposes and implements HTC-Claw, an intelligent high-throughput computational platform built upon the OpenClaw framework. The key innovations of HTC-Claw are: 1) An agent-based framework for automatic decomposition of high-level research goals into parallelizable task sets; 2) A closed-loop execution engine that integrates real-time analysis and reporting; 3) Adaptive decision-making and workflow iteration capabilities based on intermediate results; and 4) A decoupled, modular architecture that separates the scheduling system from functional modules, enhancing extensibility and robustness. Case studies demonstrate that HTC-Claw enables an intelligent, end-to-end workflow from user intent to final reporting in materials exploration

Resilient Multi-Dimensional Consensus and Distributed Optimization against Agent-Based and Denial-of-Service Attacks

In this paper, we consider the resilient multi-dimensional consensus and distributed optimization problems of multi-agent systems (MASs) in the presence of both agent-based and denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. The considered agent-based attacks can cover malicious, Byzantine, and stubborn agents. The links between agents in the network can be blocked by DoS attacks, which may lead the digraph to be time-varying and even disconnected. The objective is to ensure that the remaining benign agents achieve consensus. To this end, an "auxiliary point"-based resilient control algorithm is proposed for MASs. Under the proposed algorithm, each healthy agent constructs a "safe kernel" utilizing the states of its in-neighbors and updates its state toward a specific point within this kernel at each iteration. If an agent cannot receive its neighbors' states owing to DoS attacks, it will use the states received immediately before the DoS period. Moreover, a resilient multi-dimensional distributed optimization (RMDO) algorithm is also proposed. Theoretical proofs and numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Intelligent EC Rearview Mirror: Enhancing Driver Safety with Dynamic Glare Mitigation via Cloud Edge Collaboration

Sudden glare from trailing vehicles significantly increases driving safety risks. Existing anti-glare technologies such as electronic, manually-adjusted, and electrochromic rearview mirrors, are expensive and lack effective adaptability in different lighting conditions. To address these issues, our research introduces an intelligent rearview mirror system utilizing novel all-liquid electrochromic technology. This system integrates IoT with ensemble and federated learning within a cloud edge collaboration framework, dynamically controlling voltage to effectively eliminate glare and maintain clear visibility. Utilizing an ensemble learning model, it automatically adjusts mirror transmittance based on light intensity, achieving a low RMSE of 0.109 on the test set. Furthermore, the system leverages federated learning for distributed data training across devices, which enhances privacy and updates the cloud model continuously. Distinct from conventional methods, our experiment utilizes the Schmidt-Clausen and Bindels de Boer 9-point scale with TOPSIS for comprehensive evaluation of rearview mirror glare. Designed to be convenient and costeffective, this system demonstrates how IoT and AI can significantly enhance rearview mirror anti-glare performance.
