$L_p$-estimates of the conormal derivative problem for parabolic equations with time measurable coefficients and $A_p$-weights

This paper investigates weighted mixed-norm estimates for divergence-type parabolic equations on Reifenberg-flat domains with the conormal derivative boundary condition. The leading coefficients are assumed to be merely measurable in the time variable and to have small mean oscillations in the spatial variables. In deriving the boundary estimates, we overcome a regularity issue by employing half-time derivative estimates.

Optimal gradient estimates for conductivity problems with imperfect low-conductivity interfaces

This paper studies field concentration between two nearly touching conductors separated by imperfect low-conductivity interfaces, modeled by Robin boundary conditions. It is known that for any sufficiently small interfacial bonding parameter $γ> 0$, the gradient remains uniformly bounded with respect to the separation distance $\varepsilon$. In contrast, for the perfect bonding case ($γ= 0$, corresponding to the perfect conductivity problem), the gradient may blow up as $\varepsilon \to 0$ at a rate depending on the dimension. In this work, we establish optimal pointwise gradient estimates that explicitly depend on both $γ$ and $\varepsilon$ in the regime where these parameters are small. These estimates provide a unified framework that encompasses both the previously known bounded case ($γ> 0$) and the singular blow-up scenario ($γ= 0$), thus furnishing a complete and continuous characterization of the gradient behavior throughout the transition in $γ$. The key technical achievement is the derivation of new regularity results for elliptic equations as $γ\to0$, along with a case dichotomy based on the relative sizes of $γ$ and a distance function $δ(x')$. Our results hold for strictly relatively convex conductors in all dimensions $n \geq 2$.

Schauder type estimates for degenerate or singular parabolic systems with partially DMO coefficients

We study elliptic and parabolic systems in divergence form with degenerate or singular coefficients. Under the conormal boundary condition on the flat boundary, we establish boundary Schauder type estimates when the coefficients have partially Dini mean oscillation. Moreover, as an application, we achieve $k^{\text{th}}$ higher-order boundary Harnack principles for uniformly parabolic equations with Hölder coefficients, extending a recent result in [Audrito-Fioravanti-Vita 25] from $k\ge2$ to any $k\ge1$.

Gradient estimates for the insulated conductivity problem with partially flat inclusions

We study the insulated conductivity problem with inclusions embedded in a bounded domain in $\mathbb{R}^n$. It was known that in the setting of strictly convex inclusions, the gradient of solutions may blow up as the distance between inclusions approaches 0. The optimal blow-up rate was proved in [10] and was achieved in the presence of a uniform background gradient field. In this paper, we demonstrate that when the inclusions are partially flat, the gradient of solutions does not blow up under any uniform background fields.

Degenerate or singular parabolic systems with partially DMO coefficients: the Dirichlet problem

In this paper, we study solutions $u$ of parabolic systems in divergence form with zero Dirichlet boundary conditions in the upper-half cylinder $Q_1^+\subset \mathbb{R}^{n+1}$, where the coefficients are weighted by $x_n^α$, $α\in(-\infty,1)$. We establish higher-order boundary Schauder type estimates of $x_n^αu$ under the assumption that the coefficients have partially Dini mean oscillation. As an application, we also achieve higher-order boundary Harnack principles for degenerate or singular equations with Hölder continuous coefficients.

Hopf-Oleinik lemma for elliptic equations in double divergence form

We establish, for the first time, a Zaremba-Hopf-Oleinik type boundary point lemma for uniformly elliptic partial differential equations in double divergence form, also known as stationary Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov equations. As an application, we derive sharp two-sided estimates for the Green's function associated with second-order elliptic equations in non-divergence form in $C^{1,α}$ domains.

Interior and boundary mixed norm derivative estimates for nonstationary Stokes equations

We obtain weighted mixed norm Sobolev estimates in the whole space for nonstationary Stokes equations in divergence and nondivergence form with variable viscosity coefficients that are merely measurable in time variable and have small mean oscillation in spatial variables in small cylinders. As an application, we prove interior mixed norm derivative estimates for solutions to both equations. We also discuss boundary mixed norm Hessian estimates for solutions to equations in nondivergence form under the Lions boundary conditions.

Refined regularity at critical points for linear elliptic equations

We investigate the regularity of solutions to linear elliptic equations in both divergence and non-divergence forms, particularly when the principal coefficients have Dini mean oscillation. We show that if a solution $u$ to a divergence-form equation satisfies $Du(x^o)=0$ at a point, then the second derivative $D^2u(x^o)$ exists and satisfies sharp continuity estimates. As a consequence, we obtain ``$C^{2,α}$ regularity'' at critical points when the coefficients of $L$ are $C^α$. This result refines a theorem of Teixeira (Math. Ann. 358 (2014), no. 1--2, 241--256) in the linear setting, where both linear and nonlinear equations were considered. We also establish an analogous result for equations in non-divergence form.

Sobolev estimates for parabolic and elliptic equations in divergence form with degenerate coefficients

We study a class of degenerate parabolic and elliptic equations in divergence form in the upper half space $\{x_d>0\}$. The leading coefficients are of the form $x_d^2a_{ij}$, where $a_{ij}$ are bounded, uniformly elliptic, and measurable in $(t,x_d)$ except $a_{dd}$, which is measurable in $t$ or $x_d$. Additionally, they have small bounded mean oscillations in the other spatial variables. We obtain the well-posedness and regularity of solutions in weighted mixed-norm Sobolev spaces.

The Dirichlet problem for second-order elliptic equations in non-divergence form with continuous coefficients: The two-dimensional case

This paper investigates the Dirichlet problem for a non-divergence form elliptic operator $L$ in a bounded domain of $\mathbb{R}^2$. Assuming that the principal coefficients satisfy the Dini mean oscillation condition, we establish the equivalence between regular points for $L$ and those for the Laplace operator. This result closes a gap left in the authors' recent work on higher-dimensional cases (Math. Ann. 392(1): 573--618, 2025). Furthermore, we construct the Green's function for $L$ in regular two-dimensional domains, extending a result by Dong and Kim (SIAM J. Math. Anal. 53(4): 4637--4656, 2021).

Sharp Material Interface Limit of the Darcy-Boussinesq System

We investigate the sharp material interface limit of the Darcy-Boussinesq model for convection in layered porous media with diffused material interfaces, which allow a gradual transition of material parameters between different layers. We demonstrate that as the thickness of these transition layers approaches zero, the conventional sharp interface model with interfacial boundary conditions, commonly adopted by the fluids community, is recovered under the assumption of constant porosity. Our results validate the widely used sharp interface model by bridging it with the more physically realistic case of diffused material interfaces. This limiting process is singular and involves a boundary layer in the velocity field. Our analysis requires del

Boundary estimates for elliptic operators in divergence form with VMO coefficients

We establish boundary regularity estimates for elliptic systems in divergence form with VMO coefficients. Additionally, we obtain nondegeneracy estimates of the Hopf-Oleinik type lemma for elliptic equations. In both cases, the moduli of continuity are expressed in terms of the $L^p$-mean oscillations of the coefficients and data.

Regularity of elliptic equations in double divergence form and applications to Green's function estimates

We investigate the regularity of elliptic equations in double divergence form, where the leading coefficients satisfying the Dini mean oscillation condition. We prove that the solutions are differentiable on the zero level set and derive a pointwise bound for the derivative, which substantially improve a recent result by Leitão, Pimentel, and Santos (Anal. PDE 13(4):1129--1144, 2020). As an application, we establish global pointwise estimates for the Green's function of second-order uniformly elliptic operators in non-divergence form, considering Dini mean oscillation coefficients in bounded $C^{1,α}$ domains. This result extends a recent work by Chen and Wang (Electron. J. Probab. 28(36):54 pp, 2023).

Nonstationary Stokes equations on a domain with curved boundary under slip boundary conditions

We consider nonstationary Stokes equations in nondivergence form with variable viscosity coefficients and generalized Navier slip boundary conditions with slip tensor $\mathcal{A}$ in a domain $Ω$ in $\mathbb{R}^d$. First, under the assumption that slip matrix $\mathcal{A}$ is sufficiently smooth, we establish a priori local regularity estimates for solutions near a curved portion of the domain boundary. Second, when $\mathcal{A}$ is the shape operator, we derive local boundary estimates for the Hessians of the solutions, where the right-hand side does not involve the pressure. Notably, our results are new even if the viscosity coefficients are constant.

Second order $L_p$ estimates for subsolutions of fully nonlinear equations

We obtain new $L_p$ estimates for subsolutions to fully nonlinear equations. Based on our $L_p$ estimates, we further study several topics such as the third and fourth order derivative estimates for concave fully nonlinear equations, critical exponents of $L_p$ estimates and maximum principles, and the existence and uniqueness of solutions to fully nonlinear equations on the torus with free terms in the $L_p$ spaces or in the space of Radon measures.

Asymptotic Stability for Relativistic Vlasov-Maxwell-Landau System in Bounded Domain

The control of plasma-wall interactions is crucial to fusion devices from both physical and mathematical perspectives. It is well known that a magnetic field satisfying the classical perfect conducting conditions at the wall, $$ \mathbf{E} \times n_x = 0, \quad \mathbf{B} \cdot n_x = 0, $$ plays an important role in fusion plasma dynamics studies. Since the early 1990s, it has been understood that the Lorentz force can penetrate into the domain at the boundary and create a singularity. Consequently, the uniqueness for any nonlinear kinetic plasma models in the presence of a perfectly conducting boundary remained open until our recent local well-posedness result. In this paper, we finally establish a global well-posedness theory for the relativistic Vlasov-Maxwell-Landau system in a general $3D$ domain with a specularly reflective, perfectly conducting boundary.

Optimal higher derivative estimates for Stokes equations with closely spaced rigid inclusions

In this paper, we study the interaction between two closely spaced rigid inclusions suspended in a Stokes flow. It is well known that the stress significantly amplifies in the narrow region between the inclusions as the distance between them approaches zero. To gain deeper insight into these interactions, we derive high-order derivative estimates for the Stokes equation in the presence of two rigid inclusions in two dimensions. Our approach resonates with the method used to handle the incompressibility constraint in the standard convex integration scheme. Under certain symmetric assumptions on the domain, these estimates are shown to be optimal. As a result, we establish the precise blow-up rates of the Cauchy stress and its higher-order derivatives in the narrow region.

The Dirichlet problem for second-order elliptic equations in non-divergence form with continuous coefficients

This paper investigates the Dirichlet problem for a non-divergence form elliptic operator $L$ in a bounded domain of $\mathbb{R}^d$. Under certain conditions on the coefficients of $L$, we first establish the existence of a unique Green's function in a ball and derive two-sided pointwise estimates for it. Utilizing these results, we demonstrate the equivalence of regular points for $L$ and those for the Laplace operator, characterized via the Wiener test. This equivalence facilitates the unique solvability of the Dirichlet problem with continuous boundary data in regular domains. Furthermore, we construct the Green's function for $L$ in regular domains and establish pointwise bounds for it. This advancement is significant, as it extends the scope of existing estimates to domains beyond $C^{1,1}$, contributing to our understanding of elliptic operators in non-divergence form.
