Sharp Regularizing Effect of the Cauchy Problem for the Inhomogeneous Non-Cutoff Kac Equation

In this work, we study the spatially inhomogeneous Kac equation with a non-cutoff cross section in a setting close to equilibrium. We prove that the solution to the Cauchy problem exhibits a sharp Gevrey-Gelfand-Shilov smoothing effect with an optimal radius. We employ a well-chosen exponential-type Fourier multiplier to establish the smoothing effect for position and velocity variables.

Analytic smoothing effect of the spatially inhomogeneous Landau equations for hard potentials

We study the spatially inhomogeneous Landau equations with hard potential in the perturbation setting, and establish the analytic smoothing effect in both spatial and velocity variables for a class of low-regularity weak solutions. This shows the Landau equations behave essentially as the hypoelliptic Fokker-Planck operators. The spatial analyticity relies on a new time-average operator, and the proof is based on a straightforward energy estimate with a careful estimate on the derivatives with respect to the new time-average operator.

The Cauchy problem for the inhomogeneous non-cutoff Kac equation in critical Besov space

In this work, we investigate the Cauchy problem for the spatially inhomogeneous non-cutoff Kac equation. If the initial datum belongs to the spatially critical Besov space, we can prove the well-posedness of weak solution under a perturbation framework. Furthermore, it is shown that the solution enjoys Gelfand-Shilov regularizing properties with respect to the velocity variable and Gevrey regularizing properties with respect to the position variable. In comparison with the recent result in [18], the Gelfand-Shilov regularity index is improved to be optimal. To the best of our knowledge, our work is the first one that exhibits smoothing effect for the kinetic equation in Besov spaces.
