Anderson localization and H\"older continuity of the integrated density of states for analytic quasiperiodic Schr\"odinger operators

We establish both Anderson localization and H\"older continuity of the integrated density of states for quasiperiodic Schr\"odinger operators on $\mathbb{Z}^d$ with any non-constant analytic potential and any Diophantine frequency in the perturbative regime. Our proof is based on a new method for controlling Green's functions and eliminating double resonances, in the spirit of multi-scale analysis. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first multi-scale analysis approach that works for fixed Diophantine frequencies and potentials beyond the cosine type.

Quantum ergodicity for Dirichlet-truncated operators on $\mathbb{Z}^d$

In this paper, we prove quantum ergodicity (a form of delocalization for eigenfunctions) for the Dirichlet truncations of the adjacency matrix on $\mathbb{Z}^d$. We also extend the result to the cases of finite range observables and periodic Schr\"odinger operators with periods of length at most two. This work partially answers a question asked by McKenzie and Sabri (Comm. Math. Phys. 403(3), 1477--1509(2023)).

Robust and Feature-Preserving Offset Meshing

We introduce a novel offset meshing approach that can robustly handle a 3D surface mesh with an arbitrary geometry and topology configurations, while nicely capturing the sharp features on the original input for both inward and outward offsets. Compared to the existing approaches focusing on constant-radius offset, to the best of our knowledge, we propose the first-ever solution for mitered offset that can well preserve sharp features. Our method is designed based on several core principals: 1) explicitly generating the offset vertices and triangles with feature-capturing energy and constraints; 2) prioritizing the generation of the offset geometry before establishing its connectivity, 3) employing exact algorithms in critical pipeline steps for robustness, balancing the use of floating-point computations for efficiency, 4) applying various conservative speed up strategies including early reject non-contributing computations to the final output. Our approach further uniquely supports variable offset distances on input surface elements, offering a wider range practical applications compared to conventional methods. We have evaluated our method on a subset of Thinkgi10K, containing models with diverse topological and geometric complexities created by practitioners in various fields. Our results demonstrate the superiority of our approach over current state-of-the-art methods in terms of element count, feature preservation, and non-uniform offset distances of the resulting offset mesh surfaces, marking a significant advancement in the field.

Localization for Lipschitz monotone quasi-periodic Schr\"odinger operators on $\mathbb{Z}^d$ via Rellich functions analysis

We establish the Anderson localization and exponential dynamical localization for a class of quasi-periodic Schr\"odinger operators on $\mathbb{Z}^d$ with bounded or unbounded Lipschitz monotone potentials via multi-scale analysis based on Rellich function analysis in the perturbative regime. We show that at each scale, the resonant Rellich function uniformly inherits the Lipschitz monotonicity property of the potential via a novel Schur complement argument.

A Parallel Feature-preserving Mesh Variable Offsetting Method with Dynamic Programming

Mesh offsetting plays an important role in discrete geometric processing. In this paper, we propose a parallel feature-preserving mesh offsetting framework with variable distance. Different from the traditional method based on distance and normal vector, a new calculation of offset position is proposed by using dynamic programming and quadratic programming, and the sharp feature can be preserved after offsetting. Instead of distance implicit field, a spatial coverage region represented by polyhedral for computing offsets is proposed. Our method can generate an offsetting model with smaller mesh size, and also can achieve high quality without gaps, holes, and self-intersections. Moreover, several acceleration techniques are proposed for the efficient mesh offsetting, such as the parallel computing with grid, AABB tree and rays computing. In order to show the efficiency and robustness of the proposed framework, we have tested our method on the quadmesh dataset, which is available at [https://www.quadmesh.cloud]. The source code of the proposed algorithm is available on GitHub at [https://github.com/iGame-Lab/PFPOffset].

On the spectrum of quasi-periodic Schr\"odinger operators on $\mathbb{Z}^d$ with $C^2$-cosine type potentials

In this paper, we establish the Anderson localization, strong dynamical localization and the $(\frac 12-)$-H\"older continuity of the integrated density of states (IDS) for some multi-dimensional discrete quasi-periodic (QP) Schr\"odinger operators with asymmetric $C^2$-cosine type potentials. We extend both the iteration scheme of \cite{CSZ23a} and the interlacing method of \cite{FV21} to handle asymmetric Rellich functions with collapsed gaps.

Localization and Regularity of the Integrated Density of States for Schrödinger Operators on $\mathbb{Z}^d$ with $C^2$-cosine Like Quasi-periodic Potential

In this paper, we study the multidimensional lattice Schrödinger operators with $C^2$-cosine like quasi-periodic (QP) potential. We establish quantitative Green's function estimates, the arithmetic version of Anderson (and dynamical) localization, and the finite volume version of $(\frac 12-)$-Hölder continuity of the integrated density of states (IDS) for such QP Schrödinger operators. Our proof is based on an extension of the fundamental multi-scale analysis (MSA) type method of Fröhlich-Spencer-Wittwer [\textit{Comm. Math. Phys.} 132 (1990): 5--25] to the higher lattice dimensions. We resolve the level crossing issue on eigenvalues parameterizations in the case of both higher lattice dimension and $C^2$ regular potential.

Quantitative Green's Function Estimates for Lattice Quasi-periodic Schrödinger Operators

In this paper, we establish quantitative Green's function estimates for some higher dimensional lattice quasi-periodic (QP) Schrödinger operators. The resonances in the estimates can be described via a pair of symmetric zeros of certain functions and the estimates apply to the sub-exponential type non-resonant conditions. As the application of quantitative Green's function estimates, we prove both the arithmetic version of Anderson localization and the $(\frac 12-)$-Hölder continuity of the integrated density of states (IDS) for such QP Schrödinger operators. This gives an affirmative answer to Bourgain's problem in\cite{Bou00}.
