PhenSPINE: A Standardized Benchmark for Spine Pathology Diagnosis

The accurate diagnosis of spinal pathologies depends heavily on radiological interpretation, yet automated systems are hindered by the lack of diverse, high-quality benchmarks. In this study, we present PhenSPINE, a Magnetic Resonance Imaging dataset comprising 16,813 images from 250 patients, curated to facilitate advanced deep learning research. We propose a robust diagnostic benchmark that integrates state-of-theart convolutional backbones with a Positional Encoding mechanism to explicitly model the anatomical context of intervertebral discs. Evaluating across four standard MRI sequences, our experiments demonstrate that the Sagittal T2-weighted sequence offers the most robust diagnostic value, achieving a superior Macro F1-score of 50.31%. We find that multisequence fusion strategies yield inferior performance compared to this single-sequence baseline, as the images across sequences in our dataset are significantly compromised by noise interference from surrounding anatomical regions. This work establishes a robust baseline and offers critical insights into sequence selection for spine analysis.

CrossSpine: Multi-scale Cross-sequence Attention with Anatomical Priors for Automated Pfirrmann Grading

Automated grading of Lumbar Disc Degeneration is essential for the objective quantification of structural changes associated with low back pain. Observing that baseline models underperformed on our data, we propose a framework designed to overcome these limitations. First, we present the Cross-sequence Attention Spine (CrossSpine) framework, a novel architecture that employs a cross-sequence attention mechanism to adaptively fuse features from different MRI sequences at multiple spa- tial scales. Second, we contribute a meticulously curated dataset aimed at automated Pfirrmann grading. Finally, we introduce an IVD-aware classification technique that integrates anatomical disc-level information, enabling the model to learn level-specific degeneration priors. Our experi- ments demonstrate the superiority of this approach: CrossSpine achieved a relative improvement exceeding 125% in the Macro F1 score, while boosting the Mean AUPRC by 99% and the Mean AUROC by 36% com- pared to the baseline.

EA-Swin: An Embedding-Agnostic Swin Transformer for AI-Generated Video Detection

Recent advances in foundation video generators such as Sora2, Veo3, and other commercial systems have produced highly realistic synthetic videos, exposing the limitations of existing detection methods that rely on shallow embedding trajectories, image-based adaptation, or computationally heavy MLLMs. We propose EA-Swin, an Embedding-Agnostic Swin Transformer that models spatiotemporal dependencies directly on pretrained video embeddings via a factorized windowed attention design, making it compatible with generic ViT-style patch-based encoders. Moreover, we construct the EA-Video dataset, a benchmark dataset comprising 130K videos that integrates newly collected samples with curated existing datasets, covering diverse commercial and open-source generators and including unseen-generator splits for rigorous cross-distribution evaluation. Extensive experiments show that EA-Swin achieves 0.97-0.99 accuracy across major generators, outperforming prior SoTA methods (typically 0.8-0.9) by a margin of 5-20\%, while maintaining strong generalization to unseen distributions, establishing a scalable and robust solution for modern AI-generated video detection.

MDToC: Metacognitive Dynamic Tree of Concepts for Boosting Mathematical Problem-Solving of Large Language Models

Despite advances in mathematical reasoning capabilities, Large Language Models (LLMs) still struggle with calculation verification when using established prompting techniques. We present MDToC (Metacognitive Dynamic Tree of Concepts), a three-phase approach that constructs a concept tree, develops accuracy-verified calculations for each concept, and employs majority voting to evaluate competing solutions. Evaluations across CHAMP, MATH, and Game-of-24 benchmarks demonstrate our MDToC's effectiveness, with GPT-4-Turbo achieving 58.1\% on CHAMP, 86.6\% on MATH, and 85\% on Game-of-24 - outperforming GoT by 5\%, 5.4\%, and 4\% on all these tasks, respectively, without hand-engineered hints. MDToC consistently surpasses existing prompting methods across all backbone models, yielding improvements of up to 7.6\% over ToT and 6.2\% over GoT, establishing metacognitive calculation verification as a promising direction for enhanced mathematical reasoning.

O_O-VC: Synthetic Data-Driven One-to-One Alignment for Any-to-Any Voice Conversion

Traditional voice conversion (VC) methods typically attempt to separate speaker identity and linguistic information into distinct representations, which are then combined to reconstruct the audio. However, effectively disentangling these factors remains challenging, often leading to information loss during training. In this paper, we propose a new approach that leverages synthetic speech data generated by a high-quality, pretrained multispeaker text-to-speech (TTS) model. Specifically, synthetic data pairs that share the same linguistic content but differ in speaker identity are used as input-output pairs to train the voice conversion model. This enables the model to learn a direct mapping between source and target voices, effectively capturing speaker-specific characteristics while preserving linguistic content. Additionally, we introduce a flexible training strategy for any-to-any voice conversion that generalizes well to unseen speakers and new languages, enhancing adaptability and performance in zero-shot scenarios. Our experiments show that our proposed method achieves a 16.35% relative reduction in word error rate and a 5.91% improvement in speaker cosine similarity, outperforming several state-of-the-art methods.
