Kinetics of Bose-Einstein condensation of magnons in Yttrium Iron Garnet films

In this article, we explain the reason of the apparent contradiction between recent experiments [1] and [2] and earlier theoretical predictions [3] of strongly asymmetric condensate resulting in attractive interaction between the condensate magnons. We show that the relaxation time for equilibrium between two condensates at two minima of energy exceeds the time of experiment. Therefore, it should be described by Boltzmann kinetic equation. We develop the proper kinetic theory and find the relation between the critical pumping power and the effective temperature of over-condensate magnons.

BriDe Arbitrager: Enhancing Arbitrage in Ethereum 2.0 via Bribery-enabled Delayed Block Production

The advent of Ethereum 2.0 has introduced significant changes, particularly the shift to Proof-of-Stake consensus. This change presents new opportunities and challenges for arbitrage. Amidst these changes, we introduce BriDe Arbitrager, a novel tool designed for Ethereum 2.0 that leverages Bribery-driven attacks to Delay block production and increase arbitrage gains. The main idea is to allow malicious proposers to delay block production by bribing validators/proposers, thereby gaining more time to identify arbitrage opportunities. Through analysing the bribery process, we design an adaptive bribery strategy. Additionally, we propose a Delayed Transaction Ordering Algorithm to leverage the delayed time to amplify arbitrage profits for malicious proposers. To ensure fairness and automate the bribery process, we design and implement a bribery smart contract and a bribery client. As a result, BriDe Arbitrager enables adversaries controlling a limited (< 1/4) fraction of the voting powers to delay block production via bribery and arbitrage more profit. Extensive experimental results based on Ethereum historical transactions demonstrate that BriDe Arbitrager yields an average of 8.66 ETH (16,442.23 USD) daily profits. Furthermore, our approach does not trigger any slashing mechanisms and remains effective even under Proposer Builder Separation and other potential mechanisms will be adopted by Ethereum.

Exact solutions of the $C_n$ quantum spin chain

We study the exact solutions of quantum integrable model associated with the $C_n$ Lie algebra, with either a periodic or an open one with off-diagonal boundary reflections, by generalizing the nested off-diagonal Bethe ansatz method. Taking the $C_3$ as an example we demonstrate how the generalized method works. We give the fusion structures of the model and provide a way to close fusion processes. Based on the resulted operator product identities among fused transfer matrices and some necessary additional constraints such as asymptotic behaviors and relations at some special points, we obtain the eigenvalues of transfer matrices and parameterize them as homogeneous $T-Q$ relations in the periodic case or inhomogeneous ones in the open case. We also give the exact solutions of the $C_n$ model with an off-diagonal open boundary condition. The method and results in this paper can be generalized to other high rank integrable models associated with other Lie algebras.
