Sparse dominations and weighted variation inequalities for singular integrals and commutators

This paper gives the pointwise sparse dominations for variation operators of singular integrals and commutators with kernels satisfying the $L^r$-Hörmander conditions. As applications, we obtain the strong type quantitative weighted bounds for such variation operators as well as the weak-type quantitative weighted bounds for the variation operators of singular integrals and the quantitative weighted weak-type endpoint estimates for variation operators of commutators, which are completely new even in the unweighted case. In addition, we also obtain the local exponential decay estimates for such variation operators.

The limiting weak type behaviors and The lower bound for a new weak $L\log L$ type norm of strong maximal operators

It is well known that the weak ($1,1$) bounds doesn't hold for the strong maximal operators, but it still enjoys certain weak $L\log L$ type norm inequality. Let $Φ_n(t)=t(1+(\log^+t)^{n-1})$ and the space $L_{Φ_n}({\mathbb R^{n}})$ be the set of all measurable functions on ${\mathbb R^{n}}$ such that $\|f\|_{L_{Φ_n}({\mathbb R^{n}})} :=\|Φ_n(|f|)\|_{L^1({\mathbb R^{n}})}<\infty$. In this paper, we introduce a new weak norm space $L_{Φ_n}^{1,\infty}({\mathbb R^{n}})$, which is more larger than $L^{1,\infty}({\mathbb R^{n}})$ space, and establish the correspondng limiting weak type behaviors of the strong maximal operators. As a corollary, we show that $ \max\{{2^n}{((n-1)!)^{-1}},1\}$ is a lower bound for the best constant of the $L_{Φ_n}\to L_{Φ_n}^{1,\infty}$ norm of the strong maximal operators. Similar results have been extended to the multilinear strong maximal operators.

Limiting weak-type behavior for rough bilinear operators

Let $Ω_1,Ω_2$ be functions of homogeneous of degree $0$ and $\vecΩ=(Ω_1,Ω_2)\in L\log L(\mathbb{S}^{n-1})\times L\log L(\mathbb{S}^{n-1})$. In this paper, we investigate the limiting weak-type behavior for bilinear maximal function $M_{\vecΩ}$ and bilinear singular integral $T_{\vecΩ}$ associated with rough kernel $\vecΩ$. For all $f,g\in L^1(\mathbb{R}^n)$, we show that $$\lim_{λ\to 0^+}λ|\big\{ x\in\mathbb{R}^n:M_{\vecΩ}(f_1,f_2)(x)>λ\big\}|^2 = \frac{\|Ω_1Ω_2\|_{L^{1/2}(\mathbb{S}^{n-1})}}{ω_{n-1}^2}\prod\limits_{i=1}^2\| f_i\|_{L^1}$$ and $$\lim_{λ\to 0^+}λ|\big\{ x\in\mathbb{R}^n:| T_{\vecΩ}(f_1,f_2)(x)|>λ\big\}|^{2} = \frac{\|Ω_1Ω_2\|_{L^{1/2}(\mathbb{S}^{n-1})}}{n^2}\prod\limits_{i=1}^2\| f_i\|_{L^1}.$$ As consequences, the lower bounds of weak-type norms of $M_{\vecΩ}$ and $T_{\vecΩ}$ are obtained. These results are new even in the linear case. The corresponding results for rough bilinear fractional maximal function and fractional integral operator are also discussed.

Ill-posedness of Naiver-Stokes equations and critical Besov-Morrey spaces

The blow up phenomenon in the first step of the classical Picard's scheme was proved in this paper. For certain initial spaces, Bourgain-Pavlović and Yoneda proved the ill-posedness of the Navier-Stokes equations by showing the norm inflation in certain solution spaces. But Chemin and Gallagher said the space $\dot{B}^{-1,\infty}_{\infty}$ seems to be optimal for some solution spaces best chosen. In this paper, we consider more general initial spaces than Bourgain-Pavlović and Yoneda did and establish ill-posedness result independent of the choice of solution space. Our result is a complement of the previous ill-posedness results on Navier-Stokes equations.

On the compactness of oscillation and variation of commutators

In this paper, we first establish the weighted compactness result for oscillation and variation associated with the truncated commutator of singular integral operators. Moreover, we establish a new $CMO(\mathbb{R}^n)$ characterization via the compactness of oscillation and variation of commutators on weighted Lebesgue spaces.

Boundedness and compactness of commutators associated with Lipschitz functions

Let $α\in (0, 1]$, $β\in [0, n)$ and $T_{Ω,β}$ be a singular or fractional integral operator with homogeneous kernel $Ω$. In this article, a CMO type space ${\rm CMO}_α(\mathbb R^n)$ is introduced and studied. In particular, the relationship between ${\rm CMO}_α(\mathbb R^n)$ and the Lipchitz space $Lip_α(\mathbb R^n)$ is discussed. Moreover, a necessary condition of restricted boundedness of the iterated commutator $(T_{Ω,β})^m_b$ on weighted Lebesgue spaces via functions in $Lip_α(\mathbb R^n)$, and an equivalent characterization of the compactness for $(T_{Ω,β})^m_b$ via functions in ${\rm CMO}_α(\mathbb R^n)$ are obtained. Some results are new even in the unweighted setting for the first order commutators.

A revisit on the compactness of commutators

A new characterization of CMO(R^n) is established by the local mean oscillation. Some characterizations of iterated compact commutators on weighted Lebesgue spaces are given, which are new even in the unweighted setting for the first order commutators.

In this paper, we explore the limiting weak-type behaviors of some integral operators including maximal operators, singular and fractional integral operators and maximal truncated singular integrals et al. Some optimal limiting weak-type behaviors are given, which essentially improve and extend the previous results in this topics.

The unified theory for the necessity of bounded commutators and applications

The general methods which are powerful for the necessity of bounded commutators are given. As applications, some necessary conditions for bounded commutators are first obtained in certain endpoint cases, and several new characterizations of $BMO$ space, Lipschitz spaces and their weighted versions via boundedness of commutators in various function spaces are deduced.

Sharp Weighted Convolution Inequalities and Some Applications

In this paper, the index groups for which the weighted Young's inequalities hold in both continuous case and discrete case are characterized. As applications, the index groups for the product inequalities on modulation spaces are characterized, we also obtain the weakest conditions for the boundedness of bilinear Fourier multipliers on modulation spaces in some sense. For the fractional integral operator, the sharp conditions for the boundedness of power weighted Lp-Lq estimates in both continuous case and discrete case are obtained. By a quite different approach from others, our theorems optimize some previous results which are committed to finding sharp conditions for some classical convolution inequalities.

Characterization of inclusion relations between wiener amalgam and some classical spaces

In this paper, we establish the sharp conditions for the inclusion relations between Besov spaces $B_{p,q}$ and Wiener amalgam spaces $W_{p,q}^s$. We also obtain the optimal inclusion relations between local hardy spaces $h^p$ and Wiener amalgam spaces $W_{p,q}^s$, which completely improve and extend the main results obtained by Cunanana, Kobayashib and Sugimotoa in [J. Funct. Anal. 268 (2015), 239-254]. In addition, we establish some mild characterizations of inclusion relations between Triebel-Lizorkin and Wiener amalgam spaces, which relates some modern inequalities to classical inequalities.

Inclusion relations between Modulation and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces

In this paper, we obtain the sharp conditions of the inclusion relations between modulation spaces $M_{p,q}^s$ and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces $F_{p,r}$ for $p\leq 1$, which greatly improve and extend the results for the embedding relations between local Hardy spaces and modulation spaces obtained by Kobayashi, Miyachi and Tomita in [Studia Math. 192 (2009), 79-96].

Full Characterization of embedding relations between alpha modulation spaces

In this paper, we consider the embedding relations between any two $α$% -modulation spaces. Based on an observation that the $α$-modulation space with smaller $α$ can be regarded as a corresponding $α$% -modulation space with larger $α$, we give a complete characterization of the Fourier multipliers between $α$-modulation spaces with different $α$. Then we establish a full version of optimal embedding relations between $α$-modulation spaces. As an application, we determine that the bounded operators commuting with translations between $α$-modulation spaces are of convolution type.

Oscillation and variation for Riesz transform associated with Bessel operators

Let $λ>0$ and $\triangle_λ:=-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}-\frac{2λ}{x} \frac d{dx}$ be the Bessel operator on $\mathbb R_+:=(0,\infty)$. We show that the oscillation operator $\mathcal{O}(R_{Δ_λ,\ast})$ and variation operator $\mathcal{V}_ρ(R_{Δ_λ,\ast})$ of the Riesz transform $R_{Δ_λ}$ associated with $Δ_λ$ are both bounded on $L^p(\mathbb R_+, dm_λ)$ for $p\in(1,\,\infty)$, from $L^1(\mathbb{R}_{+},dm_λ)$ to $L^{1,\,\infty}(\mathbb{R}_{+},dm_λ)$, and from $L^{\infty}(\mathbb{R}_{+},dm_λ)$ to $BMO(\mathbb{R}_{+},dm_λ)$, where $ρ\in (2,\infty)$ and $dm_λ(x):=x^{2λ}dx$. As an application, we give the corresponding $L^p$-estimates for $β$-jump operators and the number of up-crossing.

Oscillation and variation for semigroups associated with Bessel operators

Let $λ>0$ and $\triangle_λ:=-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}-\frac{2λ}{x} \frac d{dx}$ be the Bessel operator on $\mathbb R_+:=(0,\infty)$. We show that the oscillation operator ${\mathcal O(P^{[λ]}_\ast)}$ and variation operator ${\mathcal V}_ρ(P^{[λ]}_\ast)$ of the Poisson semigroup $\{P^{[λ]}_t\}_{t>0}$ associated with $Δ_λ$ are both bounded on $L^p(\mathbb R_+, dm_λ)$ for $p\in(1, \infty)$, $BMO({{\mathbb R}_+},dm_λ)$, from $L^1({{\mathbb R}_+},dm_λ)$ to $L^{1,\,\infty}({{\mathbb R}_+},dm_λ)$, and from $H^1({{\mathbb R}_+},dm_λ)$ to $L^1({{\mathbb R}_+},dm_λ)$, where $ρ\in(2, \infty)$ and $dm_λ(x):=x^{2λ}\,dx$. As an application, an equivalent characterization of $H^1({{\mathbb R}_+},dm_λ)$ in terms of ${\mathcal V}_ρ(P^{[λ]}_\ast)$ is also established. All these results hold if $\{P^{[λ]}_t\}_{t>0}$ is replaced by the heat semigroup $\{W^{[λ]}_t\}_{t>0}$. }

Compactness of Riesz transform commutator associated with Bessel operators

Let $λ>0$ and $\triangle_λ:=-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}-\frac{2λ}{x} \frac d{dx}$ be the Bessel operator on $\mathbb R_+:=(0,\infty)$. We first introduce and obtain an equivalent characterization of ${\rm CMO}(\mathbb R_+,\, x^{2λ}dx)$. By this equivalent characterization and establishing a new version of the Fréchet-Kolmogorov theorem in the Bessel setting, we further prove that a function $b\in {\rm BMO}(\mathbb R_+,\, x^{2λ}dx)$ is in ${\rm CMO}(\mathbb R_+,\, x^{2λ}dx)$ if and only if the Riesz transform commutator $[b, R_{Δ_λ}]$ is compact on $L^p(\mathbb R_+, x^{2λ}dx)$ for any $p\in(1, \infty)$.

Weak Hardy Spaces $WH_L^p({\mathbb R}^n)$ Associated to Operators Satisfying $k$-Davies-Gaffney Estimates

Let $L$ be a one-to-one operator of type $ω$ having a bounded $H_\infty$ functional calculus and satisfying the $k$-Davies-Gaffney estimates with $k\in{\mathbb N}$. In this paper, the authors introduce the weak Hardy space $WH_L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$ associated to $L$ for $p\in (0,\,1]$ via the non-tangential square function $S_L$ and establish a weak molecular characterization of $WH_L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$. Typical examples of such operators include the $2k$-order divergence form homogeneous elliptic operator $L_1:=(-1)^k\sum_{|α|=k=|β|}\partial^β(a_{α,β}\partial^α)$, where $\{a_{α,β}\}_{|α|=k=|β|}$ are complex bounded measurable functions, and the $2k$-order Schrödinger type operator $L_2:= (-Δ)^k+V^k$, where $Δ$ is the Laplacian operator and $0\le V\in L^k_{\mathop\mathrm{loc}}(\mathbb{R}^n)$. As applications, for $i\in\{1,\,2\}$ and $p\in(\frac{n}{n+k},\,1]$, the authors prove that the associated Riesz transform $\nabla^k (L_i^{-1/2})$ is bounded from $WH^p_{L_i}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ to the classical weak Hardy space $WH^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$ and, for all $0<p<r\le1$ and $α=n(\frac{1}{p}-\frac{1}{r})$, the fractional power $L_i^{-\fracα{2k}}$ is bounded from $WH_{L_i}^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$ to $WH_{L_i}^r(\mathbb{R}^n)$. Furthermore, the authors find the dual space of $WH_L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$ for $p\in(0,\,1]$, which can be defined via mean oscillations based on some subtle coverings of bounded open sets and, even when $L:=-Δ$, are also previously unknown. In particular, if $L$ is a nonnegative self-adjoint operator in $L^2({\mathbb R}^n)$ satisfying the Davies-Gaffney estimates, the authors further establish the weak atomic characterization of $WH_L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$.
