Acoustically-driven magnons in CrSBr bilayers

We study the coupling between spin excitations and acoustic waves in bilayers of CrSBr, an ambiently stable 2D magnetic material. We demonstrate that a strong dependence of inter-layer exchange coupling on strain makes possible the resonant generation of magnons by an acoustic wave. It is shown that the parameters of the generation, in particular the resonant frequency, can be tuned by an external magnetic field, which makes CrSBr a promising platform for spintronics applications.

Soft photon registration at Nuclotron

First results of a soft photon yield in nucleus-nuclear interactions at 3.5 GeV per nucleon are presented. These photons have been registered at Nuclotron (LHEP, JINR) by an electromagnetic calorimeter built in the SVD Collaboration. The obtained spectra confirm the excess yield in the energy region less than 50 MeV in comparison with theoretical predictions and agree with previous experiments at high-energy interactions.

Spectral properties of a short-range impurity in a quantum dot

The spectral properties of the quantum mechanical system consisting of a quantum dot with a short-range attractive impurity inside the dot are investigated in the zero-range limit. The Green function of the system is obtained in an explicit form. In the case of a spherically symmetric quantum dot, the dependence of the spectrum on the impurity position and the strength of the impurity potential is analyzed in detail. It is proven that the confinement potential of the dot can be recovered from the spectroscopy data. The consequences of the hidden symmetry breaking by the impurity are considered. The effect of the positional disorder is studied.
