Exponential corrected thermodynamics of Born-Infeld BTZ black holes in massive gravity

It is known that entropy of black hole gets correction at quantum level. Universally, these corrections are logarithmic and exponential in nature. We analyze the impacts of these quantum corrections on thermodynamics of Born-Infeld BTZ black hole in massive gravity by considering both such kinds of correction. We do comparative analysis of corrected thermodynamics with their equilibrium values. Here, we find that the exponential correction yields to the second point of the first order phase transition. Also, quantum correction effects significantly on the Helmholtz free energy of larger black holes. We study the equation of state for the exponential corrected black hole to obtain a leading order virial expansion.

Spectroscopy of $z=0$ Lifshitz Black Hole

We studied the thermodynamics and spectroscopy of a $4$-dimensional, $z=0$ Lifshitz black hole ($Z0$LBH). Using the Wald's entropy formula and the Hawking temperature, we derived the quasilocal mass of the $Z0$LBH. Based on the exact solution to the near-horizon Zerilli equation of the massive scalar waves, we computed the quasinormal modes of the $Z0$LBH via employing the adiabatic invariant quantity for the $Z0$LBH. This study shows that the entropy and area spectra of the $Z0$LBH are equally spaced.

Eruptive Massive Vector Particles of 5-Dimensional Kerr-Gödel Spacetime

In this paper, we investigate Hawking radiation of massive spin-1 particles from 5-dimensional Kerr-Gödel spacetime. By applying the WKB approximation and the Hamilton-Jacobi ansatz to the relativistic Proca equation, we obtain the quantum tunneling rate of the massive vector particles. Using the obtained tunneling rate, we show how one impeccably computes the Hawking temperature of the 5-dimensional Kerr-Gödel spacetime.

Hawking Radiation and Deflection of Light from Rindler Modified Schwarzschild Black Hole

We investigate the Hawking radiation of massive spin-1 vector particles, which are coupled to vacuum fluctuations of a quantum field, from Rindler modified Schwarzschild black hole. Rindler acceleration is used to produce the post-general relativistic theory of gravity for the distant field of a point mass. The gravitational lensing problem of the Rindler modified Schwarzschild black hole is also studied. We compute the deflection angle for the IR region (large distance limit as infrared) by using the Gaussian curvature of the optical metric of this back hole. Our investigations clarify how the Rindler acceleration plays a role on the Hawking radiation and gravitational lensing.

Spectroscopy of Rotating Linear Dilaton Black Holes From Boxed Quasinormal Modes

Numerical studies of the coupled Einstein-Klein-Gordon system have recently revealed that confined scalar fields generically collapse to form caged black holes. In the light of this finding, we analytically study the characteristic resonance spectra of the confined scalar fields in rotating linear dilaton black hole geometry. Confining mirrors (cage) are assumed to be placed in the near-horizon region of a caged rotating linear dilaton black hole $\frac{r_{m}-r_{2}}{r_{2}}\ll 1$ ($r_{m}$ is the radius of the cage and $r_{2}$ represents the event horizon). The radial part of the Klein-Gordon equation is written as a Schrödinger-like wave equation, which reduces to a Bessel differential equation around the event horizon. Using analytical tools and proper boundary conditions, we obtain the boxed-quasinormal mode frequencies of the caged rotating linear dilaton black hole. Finally, we employ Maggiore's method, which evaluates the transition frequency in the adiabatic invariant quantity from the highly damped quasinormal modes, in order to investigate the entropy/area spectra of the rotating linear dilaton black hole.

Stationary Scalar Clouds Around Maximally Rotating Linear Dilaton Black Holes

We investigate the wave dynamics of a charged massive scalar field propagating in a maximally rotating (extremal) linear dilaton black hole geometry. We prove the existence of a discrete and infinite family of resonances describing non-decaying stationary scalar configurations (clouds) enclosing these rapidly rotating black holes. The results obtained signal the potential stationary scalar field distributions (dark matter) around the extremal linear dilaton black holes. In particular, we analytically compute the effective heights of those clouds above the center of the black hole.

Analytical solutions in rotating linear dilaton black holes: resonant frequencies, quantization, greybody factor, and Hawking radiation

Charged massive scalar fields are studied in the gravitational, electromagnetic, dilaton, and axion fields of rotating linear dilaton black holes. In this geometry, we separate the covariant Klein-Gordon equation into radial and angular parts and obtain the exact solutions of both the equations in terms of the confluent Heun functions. Using the radial solution, we study the problems of resonant frequencies, entropy/area quantization, and greybody factor. We also analyze the behavior of the wave solutions near the event horizon of the rotating linear dilaton black hole and derive its Hawking temperature via the Damour-Ruffini-Sannan method.

Hawking Radiation of Mass Generating Particles From Dyonic Reissner Nordström Black Hole

The Hawking radiation is considered as a quantum tunneling process, which can be studied in the framework of the Hamilton-Jacobi method. In this study, we present the wave equation for a mass generating massive and charged scalar particle (boson). In sequel, we analyze the quantum tunneling of these bosons from a generic 4-dimensional spherically symmetric black hole. We apply the Hamilton-Jacobi formalism to derive the radial integral solution for the classically forbidden action which leads to the tunneling probability. To support our arguments, we take the dyonic Reissner-Nordström black hole as a test background. Comparing the tunneling probability obtained with the Boltzmann formula, we succeed to read the standard Hawking temperature of the dyonic Reissner-Nordström black hole.

Black hole radiation of massive spin-2 particles in (3+1) dimensions

This paper is devoted to the study of radiation of massive spin-2 boson (graviton with a nonzero mass) through the event horizon of a generic static and spherically symmetric black hole in (3+1) dimensions. To this end, we consider the problem in the framework of quantum tunneling phenomenon. We evaluate the tunneling rate of the massive gravitons by applying the semiclassical WKB approximation to the Fierz-Pauli equation. The temperature of the radiation is obtained with the aid of the Boltzmann expression. Our findings are in good agreement with the existing Hawking radiation studies in the current literature.

On a Particular Thin-shell Wormhole

In this paper, using a black hole with scalar hair, we construct a scalar thin-shell wormhole (TSW) in 2+1 dimensions by applying the Visser's famous cut and paste technique. The surface stress, which is concentrated at the wormhole throat is determined by using the Darmois-Israel formalism. By employing the various gas models, we study the stability analysis of the TSW. The region of stability is changed by tuning the parameters of "l" and "u". It is observed that the obtained particular TSW originated from the black hole with scalar hair could be more stable with particular $l$ parameter, however it still needs exotic matter.

GUP Assisted Hawking Radiation of Rotating Acoustic Black Holes

Recent studies [J. Steinhauer, Nature Phys., $\textbf{10}$, 864 (2014); Phys. Rev. D $\textbf{92}$, 024043 (2015)] provide compelling evidences that Hawking radiation could be experimentally proven by using an analogue black hole. In this paper, taking this situation into account we study the quantum gravitational effects on the Hawking radiation of rotating acoustic black holes. For this purpose, we consider the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) in the phenomenon of quantum tunneling. We firstly take the modified commutation relations into account to compute the GUP modified Hawking temperature when the massive scalar particles tunnel from this black hole. Then, we find a remarkably instructive expression for the GUP entropy to derive the quantum gravity corrected Hawking temperature of the rotating acoustic black hole.

Absorption Cross-section and Decay Rate of Rotating Linear Dilaton Black Holes

We analytically study the scalar perturbation of non-asymptotically flat (NAF) rotating linear dilaton black holes (RLDBHs) in 4-dimensions. We show that both radial and angular wave equations can be solved in terms of the hypergeometric functions. The exact greybody factor (GF), the absorption cross-section (ACS), and the decay rate (DR) for the massless scalar waves are computed for these black holes (BHs). The results obtained for ACS and DR are discussed through graphs.

Hawking Radiation of Massive Vector Particles From Warped AdS$_3$ Black Hole

Hawking radiation (HR) of massive vector particles from a rotating Warped Anti-de Sitter black hole in 2+1 dimensions (WAdS$_{\text{3}}$BH) is studied in detail. The quantum tunneling approach with the Hamilton-Jacobi method (HJM) is applied in the Proca equation (PE), and we show that the radial function yields the tunneling rate of the outgoing particles. Comparing the result obtained with the Boltzmann factor, we satisfactorily reproduce the Hawking temperature (HT) of the WAdS$_{\text{3}}$BH.

Exact solutions to a massive charged scalar field equation in the magnetically charged stringy black hole geometry and Hawking radiation

Exact solutions of a massive complex scalar field equation in the geometry of a Garfinkle-Horowitz-Strominger (stringy) black hole with magnetic charge is explored. The separated radial and angular parts of the wave equation are solved exactly in the non-extreme case. The angular part is shown to be an ordinary spin-weighted spheroidal harmonics with a spin-weight depending on the magnetic charge. The radial part is achieved to reduce a confluent Heun equation with a multiplier. Finally, based on the solutions, it is shown that Hawking temperature of the magnetically charged stringy black hole has the same value as that of the Schwarzschild black hole.

Hawking Radiation of Spin-1 Particles From Three Dimensional Rotating Hairy Black Hole

In the present article, we study the Hawking radiation (HR) of spin-1 particles -- so-called vector particles -- from a three dimensional (3D) rotating black hole with scalar hair (RBHWSH) using Hamilton-Jacobi (HJ) ansatz. Putting the Proca equation amalgamated with the WKB approximation in process, the tunneling spectrum of vector particles is obtained. We recover the standard Hawking temperature corresponding to the emission of these particles from RBHWSH.

Quantum Tunneling of Massive Spin-1 Particles From Non-stationary Metrics

We focus on the HR of massive vector (spin-1) particles tunneling from Schwarzschild BH expressed in the Kruskal-Szekeres (KS) and dynamic Lemaitre (DL) coordinates. Using the Proca equation (PE) together with the Hamilton-Jacobi (HJ) and the WKB methods, we show that the tunneling rate, and its consequence Hawking temperature are well recovered by the quantum tunneling of the massive vector particles.

Gravitinos Tunneling From Traversable Lorentzian Wormholes

Recent research shows that Hawking radiation (HR) is also possible around the trapping horizon of a wormhole. In this article, we show that the HR of gravitino (spin-$3/2$) particles from the traversable Lorentzian wormholes (TLWH) reveals a negative Hawking temperature (HT). We first introduce the TLWH in the past outer trapping horizon geometry (POTHG). Next, we derive the Rarita-Schwinger equations (RSEs) for that geometry. Then, using both the Hamilton-Jacobi (HJ) ansätz and the WKB approximation in the quantum tunneling method, we obtain the probabilities of the emission/absorption modes. Finally, we derive the tunneling rate of the emitted gravitino particles, and succeed to read the HT of the TLWH.

Quantization of rotating linear dilaton black holes

In this paper, we focus on the quantization of $4-$dimensional rotating linear dilaton black hole (RLDBH) spacetime describing an action, which emerges in the Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton-Axion (EMDA) theory. RLDBH spacetime has a non-asymptotically flat (NAF) geometry. When the rotation parameter " $a$" vanishes, the spacetime reduces to its static form, the so-called linear dilaton black hole (LDBH) metric. Under scalar perturbations, we show that the radial equation reduces to a hypergeometric differential equation. Using the boundary conditions of the quasinormal modes (QNMs), we compute the associated complex frequencies of the QNMs. In a particular case, QNMs are applied in the rotational adiabatic invariant quantity, and we obtain the quantum entropy/area spectra of the RLDBH. Both spectra are found to be discrete and equidistant, and independent of $a-$parameter despite the modulation of QNMs by this parameter.
