A Double Inertial Forward-Backward Splitting Algorithm With Applications to Regression and Classification Problems

This paper presents an improved forward-backward splitting algorithm with two inertial parameters. It aims to find a point in the real Hilbert space at which the sum of a co-coercive operator and a maximal monotone operator vanishes. Under standard assumptions, our proposed algorithm demonstrates weak convergence. We present numerous experimental results to demonstrate the behavior of the developed algorithm by comparing it with existing algorithms in the literature for regression and data classification problems. Furthermore, these implementations suggest our proposed algorithm yields superior outcomes when benchmarked against other relevant algorithms in existing literature.

Partial b_{v}(s) and b_{v}(θ) metric spaces and related fixed point theorems

In this paper, we introduced two new generalized metric spaces called partial b_{v}(s) and b_{v}(θ) metric spaces which extend b_{v}(s) metric space, b-metric space, rectangular metric space, v-generalized metric space, partial metric space, partial b-metric space, partial rectangular b-metric space and so on. We proved some famous theorems such as Banach, Kannan and Reich fixed point theorems in these spaces. Also, we give definition of partial v-generalized metric space and show that these fixed point theorems are valid in this space. We also give numerical examples to support our definitions. Our results generalize several corresponding results in literature.

Generalizations of Banach and Kannan Fixed point theorems in b_{v}(s) metric spaces

Generalizations of a metric space is one of the most important research areas in mathematics. In literature ,there are several generalized metric spaces. The latest generalized metric space is b_{v}(s) metric space which is introduced by Mitrovic and Radenovic in 2017. In this paper, we prove Kannan fixed point theorem and generalize Banach fixed point theorem for weakly contractive mappings in b_{v}(s) metric spaces. Our results extend and generalize some corresponding result.

An explicit iterative method to solve generalized mixed equilibrium problem, variational inequality problem and hierarchical fixed point problem for a nearly nonexpansive mapping

In this paper, we introduce a new iterative method to find a common solution of a generalized mixed equilibrium problem, a variational inequality problem and a hierarchical fixed point problem for a demicontinuous nearly nonexpansive mapping. We prove that the proposed method converges strongly to a common solution of above problems under the suitable conditions. It is also noted that the main theorem is proved without usual demiclosedness condition. Also, under the appropriate assumptions on the control sequences and operators, our iterative method can be reduced to recent methods. So, the results here improve and extend some recent corresponding results given by many other authors.

A New Iterative Projection Method for Approximating Fixed Point Problems and Variational Inequality Problems

In this paper, we introduce and study a new extragradient iterative process for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of an infinite family of nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions of a variational inequality for an inverse strongly monotone mapping in a real Hilbert space. Also, we prove that under quite mild conditions the iterative sequence defined by our new extragradient method converges strongly to a solution of the fixed point problem for an infinite family of nonexpansive mappings and the classical variational inequality problem. In addition, utilizing this result, we provide some applications of the considered problem not just giving a pure extension of existing mathematical problems.

Weak and strong convergence theorems for generalized nonexpansive mappings

We consider a class of generalized nonexpansive mappings introduced by Karapinar [5] and seen as a generalization of Suzuki (C)-condition. We prove some weak and strong convergence theorems for approximating fixed points of such mappings under suitable conditions in uniformly convex Banach spaces. Our results generalize those of Khan and Suzuki [4] to the case of this kind of mappings and, in turn, are related to a famous convergence theorem of Reich [2] on nonexpansive mappings.

Convergence Theorems for Hierarchical Fixed Point Problems and Variational Inequalities

This paper deals with a modifed iterative projection method for approximating a solution of hierarchical fixed point problems for nearly nonexpansive mappings. Some strong convergence theorems for the proposed method are presented under certain approximate assumptions of mappings and parameters. As a special case, this projection method solves some quadratic minimization problem. It should be noted that the proposed method can be regarded as a generalized version of Wang et.al. [15], Ceng et. al. [14], Sahu [4] and many other authors.

Weak Convergence Theorem by a New Extragradient Method for Fixed Point Problems and Variational Inequality Problems

We introduce a new extragradient iterative process, motivated and inspired by [S. H. Khan, A Picard-Mann Hybrid Iterative Process, Fixed Point Theory and Applications, doi:10.1186/1687-1812-2013-69], for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of a variational inequality for an inverse strongly monotone mapping in a Hilbert space. Using this process, we prove a weak convergence theorem for the class of nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces. Finally, as an application, we give some theorems by using resolvent operator and strictly pseudocontractive mapping.

Strong convergence with a modified iterative projection method for hierarchical fixed point problems and variational inequalities

This paper deals with a modified iterative projection method for approximating a solution of the hierarchical fixed point problem for a sequene of nearly nonexpansive mappings with respect to a nonexpansive mapping. It is shown that under certain approximate assumptions on the operators and parameters, the modified iterative sequence converges strongly to a common element of the set of the common fixed points of nearly nonexpansive mappings. Also, this point solves some variational inequality. As a special case, this projection method can be used to find the minimum norm solution of the given variational inequality. The results here improve and extend some recent corresponding results of other authors.
