Nash equilibrium points and their finding for nonsmooth case

The purpose of this paper is to develop a numerical method for finding an equilibrium point in a model, in which the loss function of each object (subject) is described by a convex function with respect to one of its variables. Such models are found in medicine, economics, game theory, and biology. For the more complex case, with nonsmooth functions describing the state of each element of the system as damage, loss, or gain, the Steklov average integrals are used that turn nonsmooth functions into smooth ones. Numerical methods for finding equilibrium points in the more general non-smooth case are constructed. In the process of optimization, the diameters of the sets, over which the averaging takes place, are decreased in accordance with the optimization steps. All limit points are proved to be equilibrium points. Under some conditions, the convergence rate can be estimated using the Kantorovich theorem. The necessity to develop new methods for finding Nash equilibrium points in the nonsmooth case is concluded.

The necessary and sufficient conditions for representing Lipschitz multivariable function as a difference of two convex functions

In the article the necessary and sufficient conditions for a representation of Lipschitz function of more than two variables as a difference of two convex functions are formulated. An algorithm of this representation is given. The outcome of this algorithm is a sequence of pairs of convex functions that converge uniformly to a pair of convex functions if the conditions of the formulated theorems are satisfied. A geometric interpretation is also given. In finally, the author considered a class of curves that have the projections on, so called, coordinate planes that bound convex compact sets on such planes. This class of curves is used for formulation the necessary and sufficient conditions for solving this problem.

Equivalent substitution in the control theory

In this paper we study a problem of looking for an optimal solution of a system of the differential equations with a control and an optimized function. The system of differential equations is changed for two systems with the upper and lower convex envelopes of a function on the right side of the initial differential system and the lower envelope of the optimized function in a region of attainability. The necessary conditions of optimality are sufficient for the substituted system. The rules for evaluation of the attainability set with the help of positively definite funtions are given.
