Skein lasagna modules for 2-handlebodies

Morrison, Walker, and Wedrich used the blob complex to construct a generalization of Khovanov-Rozansky homology to links in the boundary of a 4-manifold. The degree zero part of their theory, called the skein lasagna module, admits an elementary definition in terms of certain diagrams in the 4-manifold. We give a description of the skein lasagna module for 4-manifolds without 1- and 3-handles, and present some explicit calculations for disk bundles over $S^2$.

SL(2,C) Floer cohomology for surgeries on some knots

We establish a relationship between the sheaf-theoretic SL(2,C) Floer cohomology HP(Y), as defined by Abouzaid and Manolescu, for Y a surgery on a small knot in S^3, and the SL(2,C) Casson invariant, as defined by Curtis. We determine a similar formula involving the framed sheaf-theoretic SL(2,C) Floer cohomology, HP_#(Y). We use these relationships to compute HP and HP_# for most surgeries on two-bridge knots. We also compute HP for surgeries on two non-small knots, the granny and square knots.

On the sheaf-theoretic SL(2,C) Casson-Lin invariant

We prove that the ($τ$-weighted, sheaf-theoretic) SL(2,C) Casson-Lin invariant introduced by Manolescu and the first author in [CM19] is generically independent of the parameter $τ$ and additive under connected sums of knots in integral homology 3-spheres. This addresses two questions asked in [CM19]. Our arguments involve a mix of topology, microlocal analysis and algebraic geometry, and rely crucially on the fact that the SL(2,C) Casson-Lin invariant admits an alternative interpretation via the theory of Behrend functions.
