Thermodynamics of Hairy Black Holes in Quantum Regimes: Insights from Horndeski Theory

We study non-perturbative quantum gravitational corrections to the thermodynamics and quantum work distribution of the $n$-dimensional Schwarzschild--Tangherlini--Anti-de Sitter black hole. Starting from the corrected entropy $S = S_0 + η\, e^{-S_0}$, where $S_0$ is the Bekenstein--Hawking entropy, we derive the modified specific heat, internal energy, Helmholtz free energy, and Gibbs free energy in closed form. The specific heat retains the classical divergence at $r_h^{*}=l\sqrt{(n-3)/(n-1)}$ for $n\geq 4$, but the quantum correction suppresses its magnitude by up to $78\%$ at small horizon radii. In the extended phase space, the uncharged black hole admits no van der Waals critical point; however, the non-perturbative correction induces a Hawking--Page transition for $n\geq 4$ that is absent in the semi-classical limit. The corrected Gibbs free energy turns negative at small $r_h$, opening a thermodynamic channel with no classical counterpart. Using the Jarzynski equality and Jensen inequality, we obtain the quantum work distribution during evaporation. The free energy difference $ΔF$ between two black hole states undergoes a sign reversal at small horizon radii for $n\geq 4$ when $η=1$, flipping the average quantum work from negative to positive. This sign reversal grows with the spacetime dimension, reaching $\langle W\rangle \approx +4.31$ for $n=10$. These findings demonstrate that non-perturbative quantum gravitational effects qualitatively alter the phase structure and evaporation energetics of AdS black holes, and they cannot be captured by perturbative corrections alone.

Geodesics and thermodynamics of a $κ$-deformed anti-de Sitter black hole surrounded by a quintessence field

We investigate the geodesic structure and thermodynamics of a $κ$-deformed Schwarzschild-anti-de Sitter black hole in a Kiselev quintessence field, where dynamics are governed by a mass-dependent lapse deformation. This term produces an inner Cauchy horizon without requiring charge or spin, yet it fails to resolve the central singularity; instead, the Kretschmann scalar diverges more strongly as $r^{-10}$. Because the deformation amplitude couples to the mass, the standard Bekenstein-Hawking area law violates the first law of thermodynamics. We resolve this by either deriving a modified entropy or rescaling the mass, both of which restore the first law and yield a consistent Smarr relation. Optically, an increasing deformation parameter shrinks both the photon sphere and the critical impact parameter. We also derive a closed-form Joule-Thomson coefficient, revealing that the $κ$-deformation triggers an inversion curve a feature absent in standard neutral SAdS. Notably, this occurs without generating a van der Waals critical point, demonstrating that Joule-Thomson inversion and van der Waals criticality can be cleanly decoupled. Finally, the deformation suppresses peak Hawking emission by a factor of roughly four and increases flux sparsity, an effect driven almost entirely by a drop in temperature rather than changes to the black hole shadow.

An exact dyonic black hole at the integrable locus of quadratic nonlinear electrodynamics

We obtain an exact dyonic black-hole solution in quadratic nonlinear electrodynamics defined by $-F+aF^{2}+bG^{2}$ on the special locus $b=a/2$. At this locus, the radial dependence in the electric constitutive relation cancels and the magnetic charge decouples, allowing the field equations to be integrated exactly. Using the field strength as the independent variable, we construct the solution in parametric closed form, with the radial quadrature expressed through Gauss hypergeometric functions and the cosmological constant retained. The solution recovers dyonic Reissner--Nordström--(anti-)de Sitter in the Maxwell limit, the known magnetic solution for vanishing electric charge, and the Euler--Heisenberg electric branch for vanishing magnetic charge. Its perturbative expansion agrees with the known dyonic result at first order and extends it to all orders. We find a three-horizon window requiring both electric and magnetic charges, while the corresponding Smarr integral is also expressed in closed hypergeometric form. The energy density and pressures are obtained analytically, showing that the electric charge enlarges the region satisfying the dominant energy condition relative to the purely magnetic case. Three distinct central curvature behaviors are identified, including a tuned self-energy singularity. We further develop the extended thermodynamics, treating the nonlinear coupling and pressure as thermodynamic variables, and find that the critical ratio decreases below the Maxwell value $3/8$ and disappears above a threshold coupling. Finally, birefringent photon propagation produces a split shadow doublet with a splitting of about $0.5\%$, whereas the geometric light ring and scalar ringdown are nearly insensitive to the nonlinear coupling, indicating that the main observable imprint of the nonlinearity lies in polarization-dependent photon propagation.

Quark Stars in $f(T,\mathcal{T}) $ Gravity: Structure, Stability, and Observational Constraints

Quark stars-hypothetical compact stars made entirely of deconfined quark matter-offer a clean testing ground for gravity beyond general relativity. We study their structure in $f(T,\mathcal{T})$ gravity, a teleparallel theory in which torsion is coupled directly to the trace of the energy-momentum tensor through a single constant coupling. Using the standard MIT bag description of quark matter, we solve the modified stellar structure equations and follow how the mass, radius, compactness, and surface redshift respond as the coupling is varied across its full admissible range. The maximum mass turns out to depend on the coupling in a non-monotonic way: it rises above the general relativity value, peaks near 2.02 solar masses at a moderate positive coupling, and then falls steeply as the coupling approaches a critical value at which the structure equations become singular. The two-solar-mass pulsar constraint is satisfied within a finite window of positive couplings. All configurations on the candidate stable branch satisfy causality and remain below the standard general-relativistic compactness and surface-redshift benchmarks.

Branch structure and nonextensive thermodynamics of Kalb-Ramond-ModMax black holes: observational signatures

Motivated by the low-energy effective action of heterotic string theory, where the Kalb-Ramond (KR) two-form and nonlinear gauge corrections arise simultaneously, we investigate a static, spherically symmetric black hole (BH) in Einstein gravity coupled to a KR field and ModMax nonlinear electrodynamics (NED). The solution depends, beyond mass and charge, on the Lorentz-symmetry-breaking (LSB) parameter $\ell$, the ModMax deformation parameter $γ$, and a discrete branch selector $ζ=\pm1$. We show that the ordinary branch admits extremal and non-extremal configurations, while the phantom branch generically supports a single-horizon geometry. BH thermodynamics is analyzed within the Tsallis non-extensive framework, revealing branch-dependent stability and Joule-Thomson (JT) behavior. Weak gravitational lensing is computed via the Ono-Ishihara-Asada (OIA) extension of the Gauss-Bonnet (GB) theorem, yielding a negative topological correction that reduces light bending relative to the Schwarzschild baseline, opposite in sign to Barriola-Vilenkin (BV) monopole backgrounds. Photon sphere (PS) properties in plasma environments and tidal forces through geodesic deviation are also studied, revealing a universal tidal balance ratio $R_{\rm rad}/R_{\rm ang}=3/2$ in the ordinary branch. These multi-channel signatures provide concrete observational handles for constraining the KR-ModMax framework through Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) data and next-generation interferometric arrays.

Holographic CFT Thermodynamics as a Bridge Between the Weak Gravity and Weak Cosmic Censorship Conjectures for EMPYM--AdS Black Holes

The weak cosmic censorship conjecture (\WCCC) and the weak gravity conjecture (\WGC) sit at the heart of how singularities and charged matter are constrained in any consistent theory of quantum gravity. We study both conjectures for Einstein--Maxwell--power--Yang--Mills--AdS (\EMPYM) black holes, a family in which a non-Abelian power-law Yang--Mills field, a Maxwell field, and a negative cosmological constant act together. Working in holographic conformal field theory (CFT) thermodynamics, we treat the central charge $C$ and the CFT volume $\Vol$ as independent variables and obtain an extended first law that carries variations of the Yang--Mills charge and of the nonlinearity exponent $γ$. A closed Euler relation follows, and we check it together with the full set of equations of state to machine precision. The perturbation is a charged massive scalar minimally coupled to the Maxwell sector. Its horizon energy and charge fluxes fix the superradiance threshold $ω<\tilde{q}_s\tildeϕ_h$, and the mass--energy relation $μ_s=ω$ turns this into the bound $\tilde{q}_s/μ_s>r_{\min}/\tilde{Q}$. Expanding the metric function $f(r)$ about its minimum for extremal and near-extremal configurations, we find that absorption keeps $f_{\min}$ non-positive, so the horizon survives. The Yang--Mills sector lowers the effective charge-to-mass threshold below the Reissner--Nordström value of unity, while a local stability analysis locates a Davies point in the heat capacity. Across the parameter range examined the \EMPYM\ family respects cosmic censorship under scalar perturbations, with the \WGC\ fixing only the direction of evolution toward or away from extremality.

Holographic Thermodynamic Signatures of Simpson--Visser--AdS Black Holes

We study a Simpson--Visser regularization of the four-dimensional Schwarzschild--anti--de\,Sitter (SV--AdS) black hole, treated as the bulk dual of a planar conformal field theory (CFT) on the AdS boundary. The bulk lapse $f(r)=1-2M/\sqrt{r^2+a^2}+(r^2+a^2)/\ell^2$ is regular at $r=0$ for any $a>0$, and the holographic dictionary inherits this regularity at the boundary CFT level. We derive in closed form the boundary entropy, energy, temperature, and chemical potentials, and we trace how the SV regularization parameter $a$ deforms each of them as a function of the horizon radius. For $\tila<\tila_c=1/\sqrt{24}\approx 0.204$ the bulk temperature develops a van der Waals--type small/intermediate/large branch structure and the off-shell free energy supports three coexisting equilibria; the topological-vector-field analysis assigns local winding numbers $(+1,-1,+1)$ with total charge $W=+1$, matching the universality class of regular AdS black holes (Bardeen-AdS, Hayward-AdS) and distinguishing the SV-AdS family from Schwarzschild-AdS ($W=0$).

Astrophysical signatures of Kerr-Bertotti-Robinson black holes in a cloud of strings: ISCO, microquasar QPOs, and Bondi-Hoyle-Lyttleton accretion

We study test-particle dynamics in the equatorial plane of a Kerr-Bertotti-Robinson black hole (BH) immersed in a cloud of strings (CS), with mass M , rotation a, magnetic parameter B, and string parameter α. Using the Hamilton formalism we recover the effective potential Ueff and the conditions for circular motion, and we compute the specific energy E and specific angular momentum L together with the radial, vertical, and azimuthal epicyclic frequencies νr , νθ , νϕ. Going beyond the analytic setup, we provide the first numerical mapping of the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) for this background and tabulate rISCO, EISCO, LISCO, and the accretion efficiency η = 1 - EISCO for both co- and counter-rotating motion across a wide (a, B, α) grid. The CS parameter pushes the ISCO outward and raises η from 0.057 in Schwarzschild to above 0.25 for α = 0.30 at a = 0.9. We then connect the model with observed twin-peak high-frequency quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) in three microquasars (GRO J1655-40, XTE J1550-564, GRS 1915+105) using the relativistic-precession (RP) model and find \{chi}^2-minimum fits with α < 0.13. A general-relativistic hydrodynamical (GRH) study of Bondi-Hoyle-Lyttleton (BHL) accretion completes the picture: the CS contribution sustains shock-cone instabilities, redistributes power-spectral-density (PSD) peaks, and produces low-frequency QPO-like components that distinguish KBR+CS from pure Kerr or KBR.

Testing the Weak Gravity Conjecture via Gravitational Lensing, Black Hole Shadows, and Barrow Thermodynamics in F(R)-Euler-Heisenberg (A)dS Black Holes

We investigate the interplay of the Weak Gravity Conjecture (WGC) and the Weak Cosmic Censorship Conjecture (WCCC) in $F(R)$-Euler-Heisenberg black holes in Anti-de Sitter and de Sitter backgrounds. The solution is characterized by the electric charge $q$, the $F(R)$ deviation $f_{R_0}$, the Euler--Heisenberg coupling $λ$, and the constant scalar curvature $R_0$. We establish a universal entropy--extremality relation that provides thermodynamic evidence for the WGC independently of $f_{R_0}$ and $R_0$. Photon sphere analysis from both geodesic and topological perspectives confirms the simultaneous compatibility of the WGC and WCCC, with the Euler--Heisenberg coupling restoring photon spheres in the naked singularity regime. Gravitational lensing in the strong- and weak-deflection limits reveals that the photon sphere radius is independent of the cosmological background while the critical impact parameter nearly doubles in de Sitter. Black hole shadow images under isotropic accretion are constructed. Within the Barrow entropy framework, we uncover van der Waals-type phase transitions and analyze Joule-Thomson expansion, identifying the small black hole phase as the WGC-compatible thermodynamic regime accessible via isenthalpic cooling.

Spherically Symmetric Quantum-Corrected Black Holes with String Clouds: A Multi-Observable Analysis

We present an investigation of quantum-corrected black hole spacetimes coupled with clouds of strings, examining two distinct theoretical models that incorporate quantum gravitational effects through different implementations of correction terms. Our study explores the geodesic structure, focusing on photon sphere properties, black hole shadows, and innermost stable circular orbits of test particles around these exotic geometries. The analysis reveals fundamental modifications to particle trajectories that distinguish quantum-corrected solutions from their classical counterparts, with observable implications for high-energy astrophysics. We investigate quasi-periodic oscillations arising from test particle motion, deriving frequency relationships that could serve as observational probes of quantum gravity effects in accreting black hole systems. Through rigorous gravitational lensing analysis using the Gauss-Bonnet theorem, we calculate weak-field deflection angles and identify distinctive signatures that enable discrimination between the two quantum correction models. The gravitational lensing study reveals opposite dependencies on quantum parameters between the models, providing unambiguous observational discriminants. Additionally, we analyze the thermodynamic properties including temperature, entropy, and heat capacity modifications, exploring topological characteristics and phase transition behavior in these quantum-corrected systems. The investigation reveals that the two models exhibit contrasting behaviors across multiple observational channels, from gravitational lensing deflection angles to quasi-periodic oscillation frequencies, providing remarkable discriminants for testing quantum gravity theories.

Swampland Conjectures through ACT Observations: Observational Signatures of Radiative-Corrected Inflation

We investigate the consistency of radiatively corrected inflationary models with both the latest observational data from the Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT) combined with Planck 2018 and Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) measurements, and the theoretical constraints imposed by the swampland program. We systematically test two distinct models against three key swampland conjectures: the further refined de Sitter swampland conjecture (FRDSSC), the scalar weak gravity conjecture (SWGC), and the strong scalar weak gravity conjecture (SSWGC). Model I, based on radiatively corrected Higgs inflation, satisfies the FRDSSC and remains consistent with current observational constraints ($n_s = 0.9743 \pm 0.0034$, $r < 0.038$), but fails to meet the SWGC and SSWGC requirements, indicating limited theoretical compatibility with quantum gravity principles. In contrast, Model II, incorporating radiative corrections with scalar sectors, demonstrates full consistency by satisfying all three swampland conjectures simultaneously while maintaining observational viability. The compatibility of Model II is highly sensitive to the non-minimal coupling $ξ$ and renormalization scales $μ_b$, with larger values extending the range of swampland-consistent solutions. Our results highlight the critical role of radiative corrections in achieving simultaneous theoretical and observational consistency, and identify Model II as a promising candidate for a fully viable inflationary scenario within the swampland framework. This work provides a methodology for classifying inflationary models based on their swampland compatibility, demonstrating that satisfaction of the FRDSSC alone is insufficient for full theoretical consistency.

Properties of interacting quark star in light of Rastall gravity

This study explores the properties of quark stars (QS) formulated with an interacting quark matter equation of state (EoS) within the framework of Rastall gravity, a modified theory of gravity. We derive the mass-radius relationships and calculate the maximum gravitational masses and their corresponding radii, comparing these results under both Rastall gravity and general relativity. Our analysis incorporates recent observational data, including the GW190425 event, to constrain the model parameters ($\barλ, η, B_{\rm eff}$). We also assess the stability of these quark stars by evaluating their static stability, adiabatic index, and sound velocity profiles, thus confirming their viability within the modified gravitational framework.

Thermodynamic Topology and Phase Space Analysis of AdS Black Holes Through Non-Extensive Entropy Perspectives

This paper studies the thermodynamic topology through the bulk-boundary and restricted phase space (RPS) frameworks. In bulk-boundary framework, we observe two topological charges $(ω= +1, -1)$ concerning the non-extensive Barrow parameter and with ($δ=0$) in Bekenstein-Hawking entropy. For Renyi entropy, different topological charges are observed depending on the value of the $λ$ with a notable transition from three topological charges $(ω= +1, -1, +1)$ to a single topological charge $(ω= +1)$ as $λ$ increases. Also, by setting $λ$ to zero results in two topological charges $(ω= +1, -1)$. Sharma-Mittal entropy exhibits three distinct ranges of topological charges influenced by the $α$ and $β$ with different classifications viz $β$ exceeds $α$, we will have $(ω= +1, -1, +1)$, $β= α$, we have $(ω= +1, -1)$ and for $α$ exceeds $β$ we face $(ω= -1)$. Also, Kaniadakis entropy shows variations in topological charges viz we observe $(ω= +1, -1)$ for any acceptable value of $K$, except when $K = 0$, where a single topological charge $(ω= -1)$. In the case of Tsallis-Cirto entropy, for small parameter $Δ$ values, we have $(ω= +1)$ and when $Δ$ increases to 0.9, we will have $(ω= +1, -1)$. When we extend our analysis to the RPS framework, we find that the topological charge consistently remains $(ω= +1)$ independent of the specific values of the free parameters for Renyi, Sharma-Mittal, and Tsallis-Cirto. Additionally, for Barrow entropy in RPS, the number of topological charges rises when $δ$ increases from 0 to 0.8. Finally for Kaniadakis entropy, at small values of $K$, we observe $(ω= +1)$. However, as the non-extensive parameter $K$ increases, we encounter different topological charges and classifications with $(ω= +1, -1)$.

Anisotropic quark stars in $f(R,L_m,T)$ gravity

We investigate the impact of $f(R,L_m,T)$ gravity on the internal structure of compact stars, expecting this theory to manifest prominently in the high-density cores of such stars. In this study, we begin by considering the algebraic function $f(R,L_m,T) = R + αT L_m$, where $α$ represents the matter-geometry coupling constant. We specifically choose the matter Lagrangian density $L_m= -ρ$ to explore compact stars with anisotropic pressure. To this end, we employ the MIT bag model as an equation of state. We then numerically solve the hydrostatic equilibrium equations to obtain mass-radius relations for quark stars, examining static stability criteria, the adiabatic index, and the speed of sound. Finally, we use recent astrophysical data to constrain the coupling parameter $α$, which may lead to either larger or smaller masses for quark stars compared to their counterparts in general relativity.

Thermal fluctuations of (non)linearly charged BTZ black hole in massive gravity

We consider a charged BTZ black hole in asymptotically AdS space-time of massive gravity to study the effect of the thermal fluctuations on the black hole thermodynamics. We consider the Einstein-Born-Infeld solution and investigate critical points and stability. We also compare the results with the case of Einstein-Maxwell solutions. Besides, we find that thermal fluctuations, which appear as a logarithmic term in the entropy, affect the stability of the black hole and change the phase transition point. Moreover, we study the geometrical thermodynamics and find that the behaviour of the linear Maxwell solution is the same as the nonlinear one.

Quantum Thermodynamics of an $α^{\prime}$-Corrected Reissner-Nordström Black Hole

In this paper, we will analyze the effects of $α^{\prime} $ corrections on the behavior of a Reissner-Nordström black hole. We will calculate the effects of such corrections on the thermodynamics and thermodynamic stability of such a black hole. We will also derived a novel $α^{\prime}$-corrected first law. We will investigate the effect of such corrections on the Parikh-Wilczek formalism. This will be done using cross entropy and Kullback-Leibler divergence between the original probability distribution and the $α^{\prime}$-corrected probability distribution. We will then analyze the non-equilibrium quantum thermodynamics of this black hole. It will be observed that its quantum thermodynamics is corrected due to quantum gravitational corrections. We will use Ramsey scheme for emitted particles to calculate the quantum work distribution for this system. The average quantum work will be related to the difference of $α^{\prime}$-corrected free energies using the Jarzynski equality.

Weak Gravity Conjecture of Charged-Rotating-AdS Black Hole Surrounded by Quintessence and String Cloud

A series of corrections to general relativity have recently been applied to find the relationship between entropy and extremality-bound black holes. This relationship has been investigated for many black holes, such as charged AdS, rotating, and massive gravity black holes. We give a minor constant correction to the action and confirm these universal relations for a charged-rotating-AdS black hole. We then examine these calculations for the black hole, surrounded by the quintessence and the cloud of string. In this paper, we evaluate a new universal relation. It means that we find the relation between the extremal mass of the black hole and the factor of cloud string and observe that the corresponding universal relation is well established. We find that the quintessence terms play a very effective role in calculating the mass-charge ratio and concept of weak gravity conjecture of black holes. We note here that the added constant correction is inversely related to the entropy of the black hole. It leads us to see that the mass-to-charge ratio decreases and fully confirms the black hole's weak gravity conjecture (WGC).

Modified Cosmic Chaplygin AdS Black Hole

In this paper, we construct a new charged AdS black hole with modified cosmic Chaplygin gas (MCCG). In comparison to the previous model (modified Chaplygin AdS black hole) existed in the literature, we now have two new parameters: the cosmic parameter and the black hole's electric charge. We examine the asymptotically charged AdS black hole thermodynamics with MCCG under the assumption of a negative cosmological constant as a thermodynamics pressure. Using MCCG, we developed a new solution to Einstein's AdS black hole field equations. The mass parameter, volume, electric potential, entropy, and temperature of the charged AdS black hole have all been computed. We also study the various energy conditions for the MCCG as a source fluid of AdS black hole. For some restrictions on the involved parameters, we show that these conditions are met. Then, we study the thermodynamical stability, critical points, and Joule-Thompson expansion for the back hole obtained. We reveal that while the existence of cosmic parameter yields to a complete stable mode, its absence gives rise to some unstable regions. Then, using MCCG, we treat the obtained black hole's thermodynamics as a heat engine and calculate the work done as well as the heat engine's maximum efficiency in the Carnot cycle. The work done, the efficiency, and the Rankine cycle's efficiency are also investigated. All of the findings are graphically depicted and discussed.
