Stratified spaces and synthetic Ricci curvature bounds

We prove that a compact stratied space satises the Riemannian curvature-dimension condition RCD(K, N) if and only if its Ricci tensor is bounded below by K $\in$ R on the regular set, the cone angle along the stratum of codimension two is smaller than or equal to 2$π$ and its dimension is at most equal to N. This gives a new wide class of geometric examples of metric measure spaces satisfying the RCD(K, N) curvature-dimension condition, including for instance spherical suspensions, orbifolds, K{ä}hler-Einstein manifolds with a divisor, Einstein manifolds with conical singularities along a curve. We also obtain new analytic and geometric results on stratied spaces, such as Bishop-Gromov volume inequality, Laplacian comparison, L{é}vy-Gromov isoperimetric inequality.

Eigenvalue pinching on convex domains in space forms

In this paper, we show that the convex domains of the hyperbolic space which are almost extremal for the Faber-Krahn or the Payne-Polya-Weinberger inequalities are close to geodesic balls. Our proof is also valid in other space forms and allows us to recover known results in Euclidean space and on the sphere.

Symbolic calculus on the time-frequency half-plane

The study concerns a special symbolic calculus of interest for signal analysis. This calculus associates functions on the time-frequency half-plane f>0 with linear operators defined on the positive-frequency signals. Full attention is given to its construction which is entirely based on the study of the affine group in a simple and direct way. The correspondence rule is detailed and the associated Wigner function is given. Formulas expressing the basic operation (star-bracket) of the Lie algebra of symbols, which is isomorphic to that of the operators, are obtained. In addition, it is shown that the resulting calculus is covariant under a three-parameter group which contains the affine group as subgroup. This observation is the starting point of an investigation leading to a whole class of symbolic calculi which can be considered as modifications of the original one.

Invariance quantum groups of the deformed oscillator algebra

A differential calculus is set up on a deformation of the oscillator algebra. It is uniquely determined by the requirement of invariance under a seven-dimensional quantum group. The quantum space and its associated differential calculus are also shown to be invariant under a nine generator quantum group containing the previous one.
