QCD Analysis of Dijet Production at Low {\boldmath $Q^2$} at HERA

Recent H1 data on triple differential dijet cross sections in $e^\pm p$ interactions in the region of low photon virtualities are shown to be in reasonable agreement with the predictions of the NLO QCD calculations obtained using the program NLOJET++. The implications of this observation for the phenomenological relevance of the concept of resolved virtual photon are discussed.

Next-to-next-to-leading order QCD analysis of the Gross-Llewellyn Smith sum rule and the higher twist effects

We present the next-to-next-to-leading order QCD analysis of the Gross-Llewellyn Smith (GLS) sum rule in deep inelastic lepton-nucleon scattering, taking into account dimension-two, twist-four power correction. We discuss in detail the renormalization scheme dependence of the perturbative QCD approximations, propose a procedure for an approximate treatment of the quark mass threshold effects and compare the results of our analysis to the recent experimental data of the CCFR collaboration. From this comparison we extract the value of the strong coupling constant $α_{s}^{nnl}(M_{Z},\overline{\rm MS})= 0.115\pm0.001(stat)\pm0.005(syst)\pm0.003(twist)\pm0.0005(scheme)$. We stress the importance of an accurate measurement of the GLS sum rule and in particular of its $Q^{2}$ dependence.

Parton-Hadron duality in event generators

The validity of local parton-hadron duality within the framework of HERWIG and JETSET event generators is investigated. We concentrate on ${\rm e}^{+}{\rm e}^{-}$ annihilations in LEP 2 energy range as these interactions provide theoretically the cleanest condition for the discussion of this concept.
