Timing performance of large prototype based on $\upmu$RWELL- PICOSEC detector technology with $10 \times 10\ \mathrm{cm}^{2}$ active area

The $\upmu$RWELL-PICOSEC detector, which combines a $\upmu$RWELL gaseous amplification structure with a Cherenkov radiator and photocathode, is a novel approach to acheive fast and precise timing in gaseous detectors. With timing precision at the level of tens of picoseconds, this technology is particularly suited for time-of-flight (TOF) applications in particle physics and potentially medical imaging. Beam tests with a 150~GeV/$c$ muon beam have been carried out on a large-area (10~$\times$~10~cm$^{2}$) prototype equipped with a cesium iodide (CsI) photocathode. Using an oscilloscope-based single-channel readout, timing measurements on two individual pads of the detector have yielded resolutions of $\approx$ 48 ps and $\approx$ 52 ps under different biasing conditions respectively.

Pseudoscalar contributions to Zh production at the LHC at 95 GeV and above

In generalizations of the Standard Models with extended scalar sectors, pseudoscalar particles will contribute to associated production of the Higgs boson discovered at the LHC, $h$, and the $Z$ boson. The pseudoscalar can be produced via gluon-gluon fusion, and as such may give contributions to $Zh$ production comparable to the value predicted by the Standard Model. We analyze this possibility in two different models, the Two Higgs Doublet Model, with and without an added complex singlet scalar, computing both the total and differential cross sections for this process. We focus on two pseudoscalar mass regions: (i) $m_A \sim 95$ GeV, to describe the di-photon excesses observed by CMS and ATLAS; (ii) 100 GeV $ \le m_A \le $ 1000 GeV, as a generic heavier pseudoscalar. A pseudoscalar with $m_A \sim 95$ GeV tends to give a contribution to the $pp \to Zh$ cross section that is too small to set new limits on the parameter spaces of the two models. Heavier pseudoscalars, on the other hand, can yield cross-section contributions larger than allowed by current LHC measurements and thus restricting regions of parameter space of these models which are in agreement with theoretical and all other experimental constraints. The increase of LHC luminosity will yield even substantially tighter constraints.

United States Muon Collider Community White Paper for the European Strategy for Particle Physics Update

This document is being submitted to the 2024-2026 European Strategy for Particle Physics Update (ESPPU) process on behalf of the US Muon Collider community, with its preparation coordinated by the interim US Muon Collider Coordination Group. The US Muon Collider Community comprises a few hundred American scientists. The purpose of the document is to inform ESPPU about the US plans for Muon Collider research and development (R&D), explain how these efforts align with the broader international R&D initiatives, and present the US community vision for the future realization of this transformative project.

The Linear Collider Facility (LCF) at CERN

In this paper we outline a proposal for a Linear Collider Facility as the next flagship project for CERN. It offers the opportunity for a timely, cost-effective and staged construction of a new collider that will be able to comprehensively map the Higgs boson's properties, including the Higgs field potential, thanks to a large span in centre-of-mass energies and polarised beams. A comprehensive programme to study the Higgs boson and its closest relatives with high precision requires data at centre-of-mass energies from the Z pole to at least 1 TeV. It should include measurements of the Higgs boson in both major production mechanisms, ee -> ZH and ee -> vvH, precision measurements of gauge boson interactions as well as of the W boson, Higgs boson and top-quark masses, measurement of the top-quark Yukawa coupling through ee ->ttH, measurement of the Higgs boson self-coupling through HH production, and precision measurements of the electroweak couplings of the top quark. In addition, ee collisions offer discovery potential for new particles complementary to HL-LHC.

A Linear Collider Vision for the Future of Particle Physics

In this paper we review the physics opportunities at linear $e^+e^-$ colliders with a special focus on high centre-of-mass energies and beam polarisation, take a fresh look at the various accelerator technologies available or under development and, for the first time, discuss how a facility first equipped with a technology mature today could be upgraded with technologies of tomorrow to reach much higher energies and/or luminosities. In addition, we will discuss detectors and alternative collider modes, as well as opportunities for beyond-collider experiments and R\&D facilities as part of a linear collider facility (LCF). The material of this paper will support all plans for $e^+e^-$ linear colliders and additional opportunities they offer, independently of technology choice or proposed site, as well as R\&D for advanced accelerator technologies. This joint perspective on the physics goals, early technologies and upgrade strategies has been developed by the LCVision team based on an initial discussion at LCWS2024 in Tokyo and a follow-up at the LCVision Community Event at CERN in January 2025. It heavily builds on decades of achievements of the global linear collider community, in particular in the context of CLIC and ILC.

Les Houches 2019 Physics at TeV Colliders: New Physics Working Group Report

This report presents the activities of the `New Physics' working group for the `Physics at TeV Colliders' workshop (Les Houches, France, 10--28 June, 2019). These activities include studies of direct searches for new physics, approaches to exploit published data to constrain new physics, as well as the development of tools to further facilitate these investigations. Benefits of machine learning for both the search for new physics and the interpretation of these searches are also presented.

On non-commuting graph of a finite ring

The non-commuting graph $Γ_R$ of a finite ring $R$ with center $Z(R)$ is a simple undirected graph whose vertex set is $R \setminus Z(R)$ and two distinct vertices $a$ and $b$ are adjacent if and only if $ab \ne ba$. In this paper, we show that $Γ_R$ is not isomorphic to certain graphs of any finite non-commutative ring $R$. Some connections between $Γ_R$ and commuting probability of $R$ are also obtained. Further, it is shown that the non-commuting graphs of two $\mathbb{Z}$-isoclinic rings are isomorphic if the centers of the rings have same order

Non-linear Equation of State, COSMIC Acceleration and Deceleration During Phantom-Dominance

Here, RS-II model of brane-gravity is considerd for phantom universe using non-linear equation of stste. Phantom fluid is known to violate the weak energy condition. In this paper, it is found that this characteristic of phantom energy is affected drastically by the negative brane-tension $λ$ of the RS-II model. It is interesting to see that upto a certain value of energy density $ρ$ satisfying $ρ/λ< 1$, weak energy condition is violated and universe super-accelerates. But as $ρ$ increases more, only strong energy condition is violated and universe accelerates. When $1 < ρ/λ<2$, even strong energy condition is not violated and universe decelerates. Expansion of the universe stops, when $ρ= 2 λ$. This is contrary to earlier results of phantom universe exhibiting acceleration only.
