A quantum inspired approach to learning dynamical laws from data -- block-sparsity and gauge-mediated weight sharing

Recent years have witnessed an increased interest in recovering dynamical laws of complex systems in a largely data-driven fashion under meaningful hypotheses. In this work, we propose a scalable and numerically robust method for this task, utilizing efficient block-sparse tensor train representations of dynamical laws, inspired by similar approaches in quantum many-body systems. Low-rank tensor train representations have been previously derived for dynamical laws of one-dimensional systems. We extend this result to efficient representations of systems with $K$-mode interactions and controlled approximations of systems with decaying interactions. We further argue that natural structure assumptions on dynamical laws, such as bounded polynomial degrees, can be exploited in the form of block-sparse support patterns of tensor-train cores. Additional structural similarities between interactions of certain modes can be accounted for by weight sharing within the ansatz. To make use of these structure assumptions, we propose a novel optimization algorithm, block-sparsity restricted alternating least squares with gauge-mediated weight sharing. The algorithm is inspired by similar notions in machine learning and achieves a significant improvement in performance over previous approaches. We demonstrate the performance of the method numerically on three one-dimensional systems -- the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou system, rotating magnetic dipoles and point particles interacting via modified Lennard-Jones potentials, observing a highly accurate and noise-robust recovery.

Form factors of local operators in supersymmetric quantum integrable models

We apply the nested algebraic Bethe ansatz to the models with gl(2|1) and gl}(1|2) supersymmetry. We show that form factors of local operators in these models can be expressed in terms of the universal form factors. Our derivation is based on the use of the RTT-algebra only. It does not refer to any specific representation of this algebra. We obtain thus determinant representations for form factors of local operators in the cases where an explicit solution of the quantum inverse scattering problem is not known.

Yangians and Yang-Baxter R-operators for ortho-symplectic superalgebras

Yang-Baxter relations symmetric with respect to the ortho-symplectic superalgebras are studied. We start from the formulation of graded algebras and the linear superspace carrying the vector (fundamental) representation of the ortho-symplectic supergroup. On this basis we study the analogy of the Yang-Baxter operators considered earlier for the cases of orthogonal and symplectic symmetries: the vector (fundamental) R matrix, the L operator defining the Yangian algebra and its first and second order evaluations. We investigate the condition for L(u) in the case of the truncated expansion in inverse powers of u and give examples of Lie algebra representations obeying these conditions. We construct the R operator intertwining two super-spinor representations and study the fusion of L operators involving the tensor product of such representations.

Correlators with $s\ell_2$ Yangian symmetry

Correlators based on $s\ell_2$ Yangian symmetry and its quantum deformation are studied. Symmetric integral operators can be defined with such correlators as kernels. Yang-Baxter operators can be represented in this way. Particular Yangian symmetric correlators are related to the kernels of QCD parton evolution. The solution of the eigenvalue problem of Yangian symmetric operators is described.

On the structure of Bethe vectors

The structure of Bethe vectors for generalised models associated with the XXX- and XXZ-type R-matrix is investigated. The Bethe vectors in terms of two--component and multi--component models are described. Consequently, their structure in terms of local variables and operators is provided. This, as a consequence, proves the equivalence of coordinate and algebraic Bethe ansatzes for the Heisenberg XXX and XXZ spin chains.

Remarks towards the spectrum of the Heisenberg spin chain type models

The integrable close and open chain models can be formulated in terms of generators of the Hecke algebras. In this review paper, we describe in detail the Bethe ansatz for the XXX and the XXZ integrable close chain models. We find the Bethe vectors for two--component and inhomogeneous models. We also find the Bethe vectors for the fermionic realization of the integrable XXX and XXZ close chain models by means of the algebraic and coordinate Bethe ansatz. Special modification of the XXZ closed spin chain model ("small polaron model") is consedered. Finally, we discuss some questions relating to the general open Hecke chain models.
