Geometric phase of neutrino propagating through dissipative matter

We study the geometric phase (GP) in neutrino oscillation for both Dirac and Majorana neutrinos. We apply the kinematic generalization of the GP to quantum open systems that take into account the coupling to a dissipative environment. In the dissipationless case, the GP does not depend on the Majorana angle. It is not the case in the presence of dissipation and hence the GP can serve as a tool determining the type of the Dirac vs the Majorana neutrino.

Interference phenomenon and geometric phase for Dirac neutrino in pion+ decay

We analyze the geometric phase in the neutrino oscillation phenomenon, which follows the pion decay \pi+ --> \mu+ + \nu_{\mu}. Its value \pi is consistent with the present-day global analysis of the Standard Model neutrino oscillation parameters, accounting for the nonzero value of \theta_13. The impact of the charge-parity (CP) violating phase \delta, the neutrino's nature, and the new physics is discussed.

Neutrino oscillations in the presence of the crust magnetization

It is noted that the crustal magnetic spectrum exhibits the signal from the partly correlated domain dipoles on the space-scale up to approximately 500 km. This suggests the nonzero correlation among the dynamical variables of the ferromagnetic magnetization phenomenon on the small domain scale inside the earth's crust also. Therefore the influence of the mean of the zero component of the polarization on the CP matter-induced violation indexes is discussed.

Information channel capacity in the field theory estimation

The construction of the information capacity for the vector position parameter in the Minkowskian space-time is presented. This lays the statistical foundations of the kinematical term of the Lagrangian of the physical action for many field theory models, derived by the extremal physical information method of Frieden and Soffer.

Likelihood method and Fisher information in construction of physical models

The subjects of the paper are the likelihood method (LM) and the expected Fisher information (FI) considered from the point od view of the construction of the physical models which originate in the statistical description of phenomena. The master equation case and structural information principle are derived. Then, the phenomenological description of the information transfer is presented. The extreme physical information (EPI) method is reviewed. As if marginal, the statistical interpretation of the amplitude of the system is given. The formalism developed in this paper would be also applied in quantum information processing and quantum game theory.

Neutrino oscillations beyond the Standard Model

We address the possible impact of New Physics on neutrino oscillation experiments. This can modify the neutrino production, propagation and/or detection, making the full cross section non-factorizable in general. Thus, for example, the neutrino flux may not be properly described assuming an unitary MNS matrix and/or neutrinos may propagate differently depending of their Dirac or Majorana character. Interestingly enough, present limits on New Physics still allow for observable effects at future neutrino experiments.

Searching for New Physics in Future Neutrino Factory Experiments

An extension of the New Standard Model, by introducing a mixing of the low mass ``active'' neutrinos with heavy ones, or by any model with lepton flavor violation, is considered. This leads to non-orthogonal neutrino production and detection states and to modifications of neutrino oscillations in both, vacuum and matter. The possibility of the discovery of such effects in current and future neutrino oscillation experiments is discussed. First order approximation formulas for the flavor transition probabilities in constant density matter, for all experimentally available channels, are given. Numerical calculations of flavor transition probabilities for two sets of New Physics parameters describing a single ``effective'' heavy neutrino state, both satisfying present experimental constraints, have been performed. Two energy ranges and several baselines, assuming both the current ($\pm2σ$) and the expected in future ($\pm3%$) errors of the neutrino oscillation parameters are considered, keeping their present central values. It appears that the biggest potential of the discovery of the possible presence of any New Physics is pronounced in oscillation channels in which $ν_{e}$, $ν_{\bar{e}}$ are not involved at all, especially for two baselines, $L=3000 km$ and $L=7500 km$, which for other reasons are also called ``magic'' for future $Neutrino Factory$ experiments.

Matter effects and CP violating neutrino oscillations with non-decoupling heavy neutrinos

The evolution equation for active and sterile neutrinos propagating in general anisotropic or polarized background environment is found and solved for a special case when heavy neutrinos do not decouple, resulting in non-unitary mixing among light neutrino states. Then new CP violating neutrino oscillation effects appear. In contrast to the standard unitary neutrino oscillations these effects can be visible even for two flavour neutrino transitions and even if one of the elements of the neutrino mixing matrix is equal to zero. They do not necessarily vanish with $δm^{2} \to 0$ and they are different for various pairs of flavour neutrino transitions ($ν_e \to ν_μ$), ($ν_μ\to ν_τ$), ($ν_τ\to ν_e$). Neutrino oscillations in vacuum and Earth's matter are calculated for some fixed baseline experiments and a comparison between unitary and non-unitary oscillations are presented. It is shown, taking into account the present experimental constraints, that heavy neutrino states can affect CP and T asymmetries. This is especially true in the case of $ν_μ\to ν_τ$ oscillations.

Boson ground state fields in electroweak theory with non-zero charge densities

The "non-linear" self-consistent theory of classical fields in the electroweak model is proposed. Homogeneous boson ground state solutions in the GSW model at the presence of a non-zero extended fermionic charge densities are reviewed and fully reinterpreted to make the theory with non-zero charge densities fruitful. Consequences of charge density fluctuations are proposed.

Motion of test particles in six-dimensional dilatonic Kaluza-Klein theory

Multidimensional theories still remain attractive from the point of view of better understanding of fundamental interactions. In this paper we consider a six - dimensional Kaluza -- Klein type model at the classical level. We derive static spherically symmetric solutions to the multidimensional Einstein equations. They are fundamentally different from four - dimensional Schwarzschild solutions: they are horizon free and the presence of massless dilaton field has the same dynamical effect as the existence of additional massive matter in the system. Then we analyse the motion of test particles in such spherically symmetric configurations. The emphasis is put on some observable quantities like redshifts. It is suggested that strange features of emission lines from active galactic nuclei as well as quasar - galaxy associations may in fact be manifestations of multidimensionality of our world.
