Higgs-Boson Mass Limits and Precise Measurements beyond the Standard Model

The triviality and vacuum stability bounds on the Higgs-boson mass ($\mh$) were revisited in presence of weakly-coupled new interactions parameterized in a model-independent way by effective operators of dimension 6. The constraints from precision tests of the Standard Model were taken into account. It was shown that for the scale of new physics in the region $Λ\simeq 2 ÷50 \tev$ the Standard Model triviality upper bound remains unmodified whereas it is natural to expect that the lower bound derived from the requirement of vacuum stability is substantially modified depending on the scale $\La$ and strength of coefficients of effective operators. A natural generalization of the standard triviality condition leads also to a substantial reduction of the allowed region in the ($Λ,\mh$) space.

Triviality and stability limits on the Higgs boson mass in effective theories

The impact of new interactions on the triviality and stability Higgs-boson mass bounds has been studied. The interactions have been parame- trized in a model-independent way by a set of effective operators of dimension 6. Constraints from electroweak observables at 1-loop level have been included. In the analyzed region of scale of new physics $\La \simeq 2 ÷50 \tev$ the classic triviality bound remains unchanged. An extension of the triviality condition that has been introduced leads to strong constraints on the possible models. The stability bound on the Higgs boson mass is substantially modified depending on the scale $\La$ and strength of coefficients of relevant effective operators.

Testing Scalar-Sector CP Violation in Top-Quark Production and Decay at Linear e+e- Colliders

We consider a general two-Higgs-doublet model with CP violation in the scalar sector. Three neutral Higgs fields of the model all mix and the resulting physical Higgs bosons have no definite CP properties. That leads, at the one-loop level of the perturbation expansion, to CP-violating form factors for gamma-t-tbar, Z-t-tbar and W-t-b interaction vertices. We discuss asymmetries sensitive to CP violation induced by the form factors for the process e^+ e^- -> t tbar -> l^\pm ... and e^+ e^- -> t tbar -> b/bbar ... at future linear e+ e- colliders.

Testing CP Violation in the Higgs Sector at Muon Colliders

We study the possibility of measuring the muon Yukawa couplings in s-channel Higgs boson production at a muon collider with transversely polarized beams. We investigate sensitivity to the relative size of the CP-odd and CP-even muon Yukawa couplings. Provided the event rate observed justifies the operation of the mu+mu- Higgs boson factory, we find that 40% polarization for both beams is sufficient to resolve the CP nature of a single resonance as well as disentangle it from two overlapping CP conserving resonances.

Measuring the relative CP-even and CP-odd Yukawa couplings of a Higgs boson at a muon-collider Higgs factory

We study a possibility of a measurement of muon Yukawa couplings in s-channel Higgs boson production at a muon collider with transversely polarized beams. We investigate sensitivity to the relative size of the CP-odd and CP-even muon Yukawa couplings. Provided the event rate observed justify the operation of the $μ^+μ^-$ Higgs boson factory, we have found that polarization degree 40% is sufficient to resolve the CP nature of a single resonance as well as disentangle it from two overlapping CP conserving resonances.

Testing Top-Quark Yukawa Interactions in e+ e- -> t \bar{t} Z

Determination of the top-quark Yukawa couplings in the process e+ e- -> t \bar{t} Z has been studied for the high luminosity option (\int L=500\fbinver) of a linear e+e- collider. Polarization of the electron beam has been considered. The method of optimal observables has been adopted to determine the couplings and to disentangle different models. It has been found that it could be possible to discriminate between the Standard Model scalar Higgs boson, pure pseudoscalar and the Higgs boson of mixed CP at about 12 σlevel for \sqrt{s}=1.TeV for the Higgs boson close to the production threshold both for the leptonic and hadronic top-quark decay channels. However, \sqrt{s}=.5 TeV collider turned out to have too small energy for tests of the top-quark Yukawa coupling because of its limited production rate (at most 2.5 σeffect). Possible tests of CP violation in the scalar sector have been considered.
