Renormalization in General Gauge Mediation

We revisit General Gauge Mediation (GGM) in light of the supersymmetric (linear) sigma model by utilizing the current superfield. The current superfield in the GGM is identified with supersymmetric extension of the vector symmetry current of the sigma model while spontaneous breakdown of supersymmetry in the GGM corresponds to soft breakdown of the axial vector symmetry of the sigma model. We first derive the current superfield from the supersymmetric linear sigma model and then compute 2-point functions of the current superfield using the (anti-)commutation relations of the messenger component fields. After the global symmetry are weakly gauged, the 2-point functions of the current superfield are identified with a part of the 2-point functions of the associated vector superfield. We renormalize them by dimensional regularization and show that physical gaugino and sfermion masses of the MSSM are expressed in terms of the wavefunction renormalization constants of the component fields of the vector superfield.

AMSB Demystified

We reinterpret anomaly-mediated supersymmetry breaking from a field-theoretic perspective in which superconformal anomalies couple to either the chiral compensator or the $U(1)_R$ vector superfield. As supersymmetry in the hidden sector is spontaneously broken by non-vanishing vacuum expectation values of the chiral compensator F-term and/or the $U(1)_R$ vector superfield D-term, the soft breakdown of supersymmetry emerges in the visible sector. This approach is physically more understandable compared with the conventional approach where the chiral compensator is treated on the same footing as a spurion in gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking scenario.

Not T-parity but C-parity

We revisit the Littlest Higgs model with $T$-parity, and discover a $Z_2$ symmetry on collective symmetry. It is dubbed collective parity ($\EuScript{C}$-parity). We demonstrate that $T$-parity is consistent with $\EuScript{C}$-parity. We further investigate the origin of the collective symmetry in the context of composite Higgs and find a new path to the UV complete theory of the model. In addition, we demonstrate that $T$-parity violating processes naturally take place.

1-loop Corrections to the ρParameter in the Left-Right Twin Higgs Model

We implement a one-loop analysis of the $ρ$ parameter in the Left Right Twin Higgs model, including the logarithmically enhanced contributions from both fermion and scalar loops. Numerical results show that the one-loop contributions are dominant over the tree level corrections in most regions of parameter space. The experimentally allowed values of $ρ$-parameter divide the allowed parameter space into two regions; less than $670 {\rm GeV}$ and larger than $1100 {\rm GeV}$ roughly, for symmetry breaking scale $f$. Our numerical analysis significantly reduces the parameter space which are favorably accessible to the LHC.

Neutrinos in the Simplest Little Higgs Model

The simplest little Higgs model based on a SU(3) global symmetry contains a $SU(3)_{weak}$ triplet and a singlet per a generation in the lepton sector. A neutral component of the triplet and the singlet turn into a neutral vector-like $SU(2)_L$ singlet after electroweak symmetry breaking while the other neutral component of the triplet is the SM neutrino. At tree level, Yukawa couplings of the lepton sector not only allow the neutral vector-like lepton to couple to the SM neutrino, but also give them a Dirac mass. Majorana mass terms for the SM neutrinos and their partners arise at one loops, leading to neutrino flavor mixing in addition to neutrino-heavy neutral lepton mixing.

Neutrino Masses in the Composite Little Higgs Model

The composite little Higgs model, a UV completion for the $SU(5)/SO(5)$ little Higgs model, incorporates supersymmetry into strong gauge dynamics. We extend the study of flavor physics in the model, and find that it is similar to the bosonic technicolor model. Lepton flavor violations and neutrino mass matrix arise once R-parity violating superpotential is introduced to the model, as in the MSSM. We identify various low-energy effective $ΔL=2$ lepton flavor violating operators, and find that most of them are similar to those of the R-parity violating MSSM. There is a new operator which involves only leptons and the pseudo-Nambu Goldstone bosons of the little Higgs model. We further study a possibility that this operator gives a dominant contribution to the neutrino mass matrix.

A vector-like heavy quark in the Littlest Higgs model

The Littlest Higgs model contains a new vector-like heavy quark in the up sector. There are two interesting features of its existence. One is that it extends the $3\times3$ CKM matrix in the Standard Model to a $4\times3$ matrix and the other is that it allows Z-mediated flavor changing neutral currents at tree level in the up sector but not in the down sector. We examine a few of possible windows in which the Z-mediated flavor changing neutral currents in the Littlest Higgs Model can be tested.

$B \rightarrow τνX$ decays in a two Higgs doublet model

We calculate the decay rate for inclusive $B \rightarrow τνX$ decays in a two Higgs doublet model using heavy quark expansion and operator product expansion. Combined with the recent measurement of Br($B \ra τνX$), we find a limit $\tan β< 0.58 m_H/\mbox{GeV}$ at 90\%\ C.L..
