Invariant Differential Operators on the Minkowski-Euclid Space

For two positive integers m and n, we let ${\mathcal P}_n$ be the open convex cone in ${\mathbb R}^{n(n+1)/2}$ consisting of positive definite n x n real symmetric matrices and let ${\mathbb R}^{(m,n)}$ be the set of all m x n real matrices. In this article, we investigate differential operators on the non-reductive manifold ${\mathcal P}_n \times {\mathbb R}^{(m,n)}$ that are invariant under the natural action of the semidirect product group GL(n,R) $\ltimes {\mathbb R}^{(m,n)}$ on the Minkowski-Euclid space ${\mathcal P}_n \times {\mathbb R}^{(m,n)}$. These invariant differential operators play an important role in the theory of automorphic forms on GL(n,R) $\ltimes {\mathbb R}^{(m,n)}$ generlaizing that of automorphic forms on GL(n,R).

Invariant Differential Operators on Siegel-Jacobi Space

For two positive integers $m$ and $n$, we let ${\mathbb H}_n$ be the Siegel upper half plane of degree $n$ and let ${\mathbb C}^{(m,n)}$ be the set of all $m\times n$ complex matrices. In this article, we study differential operators on the Siegel-Jacobi space ${\mathbb H}_n\times {\mathbb C}^{(m,n)}$ that are invariant under the natural action of the Jacobi group $Sp(n,{\mathbb R}\ltimes H_{\mathbb R}^{(n,m)}$ on ${\mathbb H}_n\times {\mathbb C}^{(m,n)}$, where $H_{\mathbb R}^{(n,m)}$ denotes the Heisenberg group. We give some explicit invariant differential operators. We present important problems which are natural. We give some partial solutions for these natural problems.

A note on invariant differential operators on Siegel-Jacobi space

In this article, we investigate differential operators on the Siegel-Jacobi space that are invariant under the natural action of the Jacobi group. These invariant differential operators play an important role in the arithmetic theory of Jacobi forms of higher degree. We present some explicit invariant differential operators. We present problems which are natural. We give some new partial solutions for these natural problems.

Theta Series Associated with the Weil-Schroedinger Representation

The Weil representation discovered by Andre Weil plays an important role in the study of the tranformation properties of theta series. In this paper, we define the Weil-Schroedinger representation of the Jacobi group and prove that the theta series associated with the Weil-Schroedinger representation is a Jacobi form with respect to a suitable arithmetic subgroup of the Jacobi modular group.

The Weil Representations of the Jacobi Group

The Jacobi group is the semi-direct product of the symplectic group and the Heisenberg group. The Jacobi group is an important object in the framework of quantum mechanics, geometric quantization and optics. In this paper, we study the Weil representations of the Jacobi group and their properties. We also provide their applications to the theory of automorphic forms on the Jacobi group and representation theory of the Jacobi group.

Lecture on Langlands Functoriality Conjecture

This is a survey lecture note on the applications of Langlands functoriality which were obtained recently by some people at the Langalnds school. This lecture was delivered at the Department of Mathematics, Kyoto University, Japan on June 30 (Tuesday), 2009.

Remark on Harmonic Analysis on Siegel-Jacobi Space

This is the lecture note of my invited lecture given at the International Conference on Number Theory at Harish-Chandra Research Institute in Allahabad (quite near the River Ganges), India on December 5, 2006. I gave an invited lecture on the same subject at Department of Mathematics, Kyoto University, Japan on June 23, 2009. The new lecture note contains more new contents and references.

Functional Equation for Theta Series

In this short paper, we find the transformation formula for the theta series under the action of the Jacobi modular group on the Siegel-Jacobi space. This formula generalizes the formula (5.1) obtained by Mumford in his book[p.189, Tata Lectures on Theta I (1983), Birkhauser].

Langlands Functoriality Conjecture

Functoriality conjecture is one of the central subjects of the present-day mathematics. Functoriality is the profound problem formulated by Robert Langlands in the late 1960s in order to establish nonabelian class field theory. In this expository paper, we describe the Langlands-Shahidi method, the local and global Langlands conjectures and the converse theorems which are powerful tools for the establishment of functoriality of some important cases, and survey the interesting results related to functoriality conjecture.

Theory of the Siegel Modular Variety

In this paper, we discuss the theory of the Siegel modular variety in the aspects of arithmetic and geometry. This article covers the theory of Siegel modular forms, the Hecke theory, a lifting of elliptic cusp forms, geometric properties of the Siegel modular variety, (hypothetical) motives attached to Siegel modular forms and a cohomology of the Siegel modular variety.

Invariant metrics and Laplacians on Siegel-Jacobi space

In this paper, we compute Riemannian metrics on the Siegel-Jacobi space which are invariant under the natural action of the Jacobi group explicitly and also provide the Laplacians of these invariant metrics. These are expressed in terms of the trace form.

Construction of Vector Valued Modular Forms from Jacobi Forms

We give a geometrical construction of the canonical automorphic factor for the Jacobi group and construct new vector valued modular forms from Jacobi forms by differentiating them with respect to toroidal variables and then evaluating at zero.

A Note on Maass-Jacobi Forms

In this paper, we introduce the notion of Maass-Jacobi forms and investigate some properties of these new automorphic forms. We also characterize these automorphic forms in several ways.

Lattice representations of Heisenberg groups

In this article, we prove that a lattice representation of the Heisenberg group $H_{\mathbb R}^{(g,h)}$ associated to a lattice $L$ and a positive definite symmetric half-integral matrix M of degree $h$ is unitarily equivalent to the direct sum of $(det 2M)^g$ copies of the Schroedinger representation of $H_{\mathbb R}^{(g,h)}$.

Trace Formulas on Finite Groups

In this paper, we study the right regular representation of a finite group $G$ on the vector space consisting of vector valued functions on $Γ\backslash G$ with a subgroup $Γ$ of $G$ and give a trace formula using the work of M.-F. Vigneras.
