Generative Modeling of Quantum Distribution with Functional Flow Matching

The emergence of powerful deep generative models based on diffusion and flow matching has enabled the learning and modeling of complex distributions. Learning quantum distributions, however, remains challenging due to the inherent difficulty of accurately modeling the meaningful physical properties of quantum states. We propose Quantum Flow Matching (QFM), a novel generative model designed to learn quantum distribution by utilizing spin Wigner function and flow matching. By converting density matrix into the spin Wigner function and leveraging functional flow matching to learn distributions in function space, QFM enables accurate and effective learning of multi-qubit quantum distributions. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our method by evaluating physical quantities such as trace, purity, and entanglement entropy of the generated quantum states, accurately capturing the underlying physics of the given quantum distributions.

Equivariant Latent Alignment via Flow Matching under Group Symmetries

Geometry-aware generative models and novel view synthesis approaches have shown strong potential in visual fidelity and consistency. In parallel, equivariant representation learning has emerged as a powerful framework for constructing latent spaces where analytically known group transformations could act directly, capturing geometric structure in data and enhancing both interpretability and generalization in novel view synthesis. However, we identify that existing approaches often suffer from latent misalignment, a discrepancy between the intended group action and the actually required transformations in the latent space. Consequently, the learned latents often fail to consistently preserve the equivariant relations imposed by the underlying group symmetry. To address this, we propose Residual Latent Flow, a flow-based framework that corrects the misaligned latents, thereby improving compliance with the underlying equivariance relation. Our comprehensive experiments show that our method significantly reduces latent misalignment and improves novel view synthesis quality, under rotation groups SO(n).

TILT: Improving Compositional Generation in Diffusion Models with a Model-Intrinsic Reward

Recent advances in powerful text-to-image generation models have made it increasingly important to develop test-time methods that modify the sampling trajectory to produce images more faithful to complex compositional prompts. We present TILT, a training-free framework for compositional text-to-image generation via test-time reward alignment. We interpret compositional failures as overlap modes between joint and single-concept distributions, and define a reward that favors samples where all concepts are jointly present. This reward is intrinsic to the base model and does not require any external supervision or reward models. This yields a KL-constrained objective with a closed-form tilted target distribution and principled guiding steps for diffusion sampling. The interaction of concept distributions together with the above reward naturally leads to two different guidance strategies while a hybrid approach that balances their respective benefits produces stronger performance. Experiments on prompts from T2ICompBench show that our method improves compositional alignment while preserving image quality compared to previous baselines.

SummDiff: Generative Modeling of Video Summarization with Diffusion

Video summarization is a task of shortening a video by choosing a subset of frames while preserving its essential moments. Despite the innate subjectivity of the task, previous works have deterministically regressed to an averaged frame score over multiple raters, ignoring the inherent subjectivity of what constitutes a good summary. We propose a novel problem formulation by framing video summarization as a conditional generation task, allowing a model to learn the distribution of good summaries and to generate multiple plausible summaries that better reflect varying human perspectives. Adopting diffusion models for the first time in video summarization, our proposed method, SummDiff, dynamically adapts to visual contexts and generates multiple candidate summaries conditioned on the input video. Extensive experiments demonstrate that SummDiff not only achieves the state-of-the-art performance on various benchmarks but also produces summaries that closely align with individual annotator preferences. Moreover, we provide a deeper insight with novel metrics from an analysis of the knapsack, which is an important last step of generating summaries but has been overlooked in evaluation.

Isometric Representation Learning for Disentangled Latent Space of Diffusion Models

The latent space of diffusion model mostly still remains unexplored, despite its great success and potential in the field of generative modeling. In fact, the latent space of existing diffusion models are entangled, with a distorted mapping from its latent space to image space. To tackle this problem, we present Isometric Diffusion, equipping a diffusion model with a geometric regularizer to guide the model to learn a geometrically sound latent space of the training data manifold. This approach allows diffusion models to learn a more disentangled latent space, which enables smoother interpolation, more accurate inversion, and more precise control over attributes directly in the latent space. Our extensive experiments consisting of image interpolations, image inversions, and linear editing show the effectiveness of our method.

Improvement in Variational Quantum Algorithms by Measurement Simplification

Variational Quantum Algorithms (VQAs) are expected to be promising algorithms with quantum advantages that can be run at quantum computers in the close future. In this work, we review simple rules in basic quantum circuits, and propose a simplification method, Measurement Simplification, that simplifies the expression for the measurement of quantum circuit. By the Measurement Simplification, we simplified the specific result expression of VQAs and obtained large improvements in calculation time and required memory size. Here we applied Measurement Simplification to Variational Quantum Linear Solver (VQLS), Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) and other Quantum Machine Learning Algorithms to show an example of speedup in the calculation time and required memory size.
