The Calculation of Vacuum Properties from the Global Color Symmetry Model

A modified method for calculating the non-perturbative quark vacuum condensates from the global color symmetry model is derived. Within this approach it is shown that the vacuum condensates are free of ultraviolet divergence which is different from previous studies. As a special, the two-quark condensate and the mixed quark-gluon condensate are calculated. A comparision with the results of the other nonperturbative QCD approaches is given.

The Chiral Quark Condensate and the Bag Constant with Finite Chemical Potential

A method for obtaining the low chemical potential dependence of the dressed quark propagator from an effective quark-quark interaction model is developed. From this the chemical potential dependence of the chiral quark condensate and bag constant are evaluated. It is found that the chiral order parameter decreases with the increasing chemical potential $μ$, which is qualitatively different from the results given by some authors in the literature. The reason for this discrepancy is discussed.

The Representation Transformation of Multiquark Wave Functions

It is shown that the representation transformations of multiquark wave functions between different coupling schemes are just the Racah coefficients of the permutation group. The transformation coefficients between the flavor-spin (FS) and the color-spin (CS) schemes are obtained. As an example, the expansion of the physical bases in terms of symmetry bases in the CS scheme are given for the interesting cases $YIJ = 201, 210, 000$.

Quark Delocalization, Color Screening and Dibaryons

The quark delocalization and color screening model, a quark potential model, is used for a systematic search of dibaryon candidates in the $u,d$ and $s$ three flavor world. Color screening which appears in unquenched lattice gauge calculations and quark delocalization (which is similar to electron delocalization in molecular physics) are both included. Flavor symmetry breaking and channel coupling effects are studied. The model is constrained not only by baryon ground state properties but also by the $N$-$N$ scattering phase shifts. The deuteron and zero energy di-nucleon resonance are both reproduced qualitatively. The model predicts two extreme types of dibaryonic systems: ``molecular'' like the deuteron, and highly delocalized six-quark systems among which only a few narrow dibaryon resonances occur in the $u,d$ and $s$ three flavor world. Possible high spin dibaryon resonances are emphasized.
