CaveAgent: Transforming LLMs into Stateful Runtime Operators

LLM-based agents are increasingly capable of complex task execution, yet current agentic systems remain constrained by text-centric paradigms that struggle with long-horizon tasks due to fragile multi-turn dependencies and context drift. We present CaveAgent, a framework that shifts tool use from ``LLM-as-Text-Generator'' to ``LLM-as-Runtime-Operator.'' CaveAgent introduces a dual-stream architecture that inverts the conventional paradigm: rather than treating the LLM's text context as the primary workspace with tools as auxiliary, CaveAgent elevates the persistent Python runtime as the central locus of state, with a lightweight semantic stream serving as its orchestrator. Beyond leveraging code generation to resolve interdependent sub-tasks (e.g., loops, conditionals) in a single step, CaveAgent introduces \textit{Stateful Runtime Management}: it injects, manipulates, and retrieves complex Python objects (e.g., DataFrames, database connections) that persist across turns, unlike existing code-based approaches that remain text-bound. CaveAgent further provides a runtime-integrated skill management system that extends the Agent Skills open standard, enabling ecosystem interoperability through executable skill injections. This persistence mechanism serves as a high-fidelity external memory that reduces context drift in multi-turn interactions and preserves processed data for downstream applications without information loss. Evaluations show consistent improvement across challenging benchmarks, enabling CaveAgent to handle data scales that cause context overflow in both JSON-based and code-based agents. The accessible runtime state further provides programmatically verifiable feedback, enabling automated evaluation and reward signal generation without human annotation and establishing a structural foundation for future research in Reinforcement Learning with Verifiable Rewards (RLVR).

CRAB: Cross-environment Agent Benchmark for Multimodal Language Model Agents

The development of autonomous agents increasingly relies on Multimodal Language Models (MLMs) to perform tasks described in natural language with GUI environments, such as websites, desktop computers, or mobile phones. Existing benchmarks for MLM agents in interactive environments are limited by their focus on a single environment, lack of detailed and generalized evaluation methods, and the complexities of constructing tasks and evaluators. To overcome these limitations, we introduce Crab, the first agent benchmark framework designed to support cross-environment tasks, incorporating a graph-based fine-grained evaluation method and an efficient mechanism for task and evaluator construction. Our framework supports multiple devices and can be easily extended to any environment with a Python interface. Leveraging Crab, we developed a cross-platform Crab Benchmark-v0 comprising 120 tasks in computer desktop and mobile phone environments. We evaluated four advanced MLMs using different single and multi-agent system configurations on this benchmark. The experimental results demonstrate that the single agent with GPT-4o achieves the best completion ratio of 38.01%. All framework code, agent code, and task datasets are publicly available at https://github.com/camel-ai/crab.

Thermodynamics of the Bardeen Black Hole in Anti-de Sitter Space

We first study the thermodynamics of Bardeen-AdS black hole by the $T$-$r_{h}$ diagram, where T is the Hawking temperature and $r_{h}$ is the radius of event horizon. The cut-off radius which is the minimal radius of the thermodynamical stable Bardeen black hole can be got, and the cut-off radius is the same with the result of the heat capacity analysis. Moreover, by studying the parameter $g$, which is interpreted as a gravitationally collapsed magnetic monopole arising in a specific form of non-linear electrodynamics, in the Bardeen black hole, we can get a critical value $g_{m}$ and different phenomenons with different values of parameter $g$. For $g>g_{m}$, there is no second order phase transition. We also research the thermodynamical stability of the Bardeen black hole by the Gibbs free energy and the heat capacity. In addition, the phase transition is discussed.

The generalization of charged AdS black hole specific volume and number density

In this paper, by proposing a generalized $specific~volume$, we restudy the $P-V$ criticality of charged AdS black holes in the extended phase space. The results show that most of the previous conclusions can be generalized without change, but the ratio $\tildeρ_c$ should be $3 \tildeα/16$ in general case. Further research on the thermodynamical phase transition of black hole leads us to a natural interpretation of our assumption, and more black hole properties can be generalized. Finally, we study the number density for charged AdS black hole in higher dimensions, the results show the necessity of our assumption.

Quantum Monte Carlo calculations of the potential energy curve of the helium dimer

We report results of both the Diffusion Quantum Monte Carlo (DMC) and Reptation Quantum Monte Carlo (RMC) methods on the potential energy curve of the helium dimer. We show that it is possible to obtain a highly accurate description of the helium dimer. An improved stochastic reconfiguration technique is employed to optimize the many-body wave function, which is the starting point for highly accurate simulations based on the Diffusion Quantum Monte Carlo (DMC) and Reptation Quantum Monte Carlo (RMC) methods. We find that the results of these methods are in excellent agreement with the best theoretical results at short range, especially the recently developed Reptation Quantum Monte Carlo (RMC) method, yield particularly accurate results with reduced statistical error, which gives very excellent agreement across the whole potential curve. For the equilibrium internuclear distance of 5.6 bohr, the calculated total energy with Reptation Quantum Monte Carlo (RMC) method is -5.807483599$\pm$0.000000016 hartrees and the corresponding well depth is -11.003$\pm$0.005 K.
