Quality-Aware Collaborative Multi-Positive Contrastive Learning for Sequential Recommendation

The effectiveness of contrastive learning in sequential recommendation hinges on the construction of contrastive views, which ideally should be both semantically consistent and diverse. However, most existing CL-based methods rely on heuristic augmentations that are prone to removing crucial items or disrupting transition patterns, leading to semantic drift. While a few studies have explored learnable augmentations to improve view quality, they often suffer from limited diversity and still necessitate heuristic aids. Furthermore, the quality differences across views are rarely modeled explicitly and adaptively, aggravating the false-positive issue. To address these issues, we propose Quality-aware Collaborative Multi-Positive Contrastive Learning for sequential recommendation. First, we introduce a learnable collaborative sequence augmentation module that generates two augmented views under two complementary collaborative contexts, one based on same-target sequences and the other on similar sequences, thereby enhancing view diversity while preserving intent consistency.Second, we design a quality-aware mechanism, tightly integrated into the model representations, which estimates each view' s quality from the confidence of its augmentation operations and assigns adaptive weights to ensure that high-confidence views contribute more supervision while low-confidence ones contribute less.Extensive experiments on three real-world datasets demonstrate that QCMP-CL outperforms state-of-the-art CL-based sequential recommendation baselines.

Chain-of-Thought Hijacking

Large Reasoning Models (LRMs) improve task performance through extended inference-time reasoning. Although previous studies suggest that longer reasoning should lead to more robust safety behavior, we find evidence to the contrary: over-extended reasoning can instead be exploited to systematically weaken refusal behavior. We propose Chain-of-Thought Hijacking, a simple yet effective black-box jailbreak attack that induces LRMs to engage in prolonged benign puzzle-solving reasoning, often lasting more than five minutes, before eliciting harmful compliance. Across HarmBench, CoT Hijacking achieves attack success rates of 99%, 94%, 100%, and 94% on Gemini 2.5 Pro, ChatGPT o4 Mini, Grok 3 Mini, and Claude 4 Sonnet, respectively. To understand why this attack succeeds, we conduct activation probing, attention-pattern analysis, and causal interventions on open-source reasoning models. Our results indicate that refusal behavior depends on a low-dimensional safety signal whose expression weakens as reasoning traces grow longer. In particular, extended benign reasoning shifts attention away from harmful intentions and attenuates refusal-related activations, producing what we call refusal dilution. These findings demonstrate that excessively prolonged reasoning can introduce a systematic jailbreak attack surface. We release our evaluation materials to support reproducibility and further research.

A TRPCA-Inspired Deep Unfolding Network for Hyperspectral Image Denoising via Thresholded t-SVD and Top-K Sparse Transformer

Hyperspectral images (HSIs) are often degraded by complex mixed noise during acquisition and transmission, making effective denoising essential for subsequent analysis. Recent hybrid approaches that bridge model-driven and data-driven paradigms have shown great promise. However, most of these approaches lack effective alternation between different priors or modules, resulting in loosely coupled regularization and insufficient exploitation of their complementary strengths. Inspired by tensor robust principal component analysis (TRPCA), we propose a novel deep unfolding network (DU-TRPCA) that enforces stage-wise alternation between two tightly integrated modules: low-rank and sparse. The low-rank module employs thresholded tensor singular value decomposition (t-SVD), providing a widely adopted convex surrogate for tensor low-rankness and has been demonstrated to effectively capture the global spatial-spectral structure of HSIs. The Top-K sparse transformer module adaptively imposes sparse constraints, directly matching the sparse regularization in TRPCA and enabling effective removal of localized outliers and complex noise. This tightly coupled architecture preserves the stage-wise alternation between low-rank approximation and sparse refinement inherent in TRPCA, while enhancing representational capacity through attention mechanisms. Extensive experiments on synthetic and real-world HSIs demonstrate that DU-TRPCA surpasses state-of-the-art methods under severe mixed noise, while offering interpretability benefits and stable denoising dynamics inspired by iterative optimization. Learnable Sequence Augmenter for Triplet Contrastive Learning in Sequential Recommendation

Most existing contrastive learning-based sequential recommendation (SR) methods rely on random operations (e.g., crop, reorder, and substitute) to generate augmented sequences. These methods often struggle to create positive sample pairs that closely resemble the representations of the raw sequences, potentially disrupting item correlations by deleting key items or introducing noisy iterac, which misguides the contrastive learning process. To address this limitation, we propose Learnable sequence Augmentor for triplet Contrastive Learning in sequential Recommendation (LACLRec). Specifically, the self-supervised learning-based augmenter can automatically delete noisy items from sequences and insert new items that better capture item transition patterns, generating a higher-quality augmented sequence. Subsequently, we randomly generate another augmented sequence and design a ranking-based triplet contrastive loss to differentiate the similarities between the raw sequence, the augmented sequence from augmenter, and the randomly augmented sequence, providing more fine-grained contrastive signals. Extensive experiments on three real-world datasets demonstrate that both the sequence augmenter and the triplet contrast contribute to improving recommendation accuracy. LACLRec significantly outperforms the baseline model CL4SRec, and demonstrates superior performance compared to several state-of-the-art sequential recommendation algorithms.

Semantically Robust Unsupervised Image Translation for Paired Remote Sensing Images

Image translation for change detection or classification in bi-temporal remote sensing images is unique. Although it can acquire paired images, it is still unsupervised. Moreover, strict semantic preservation in translation is always needed instead of multimodal outputs. In response to these problems, this paper proposes a new method, SRUIT (Semantically Robust Unsupervised Image-to-image Translation), which ensures semantically robust translation and produces deterministic output. Inspired by previous works, the method explores the underlying characteristics of bi-temporal Remote Sensing images and designs the corresponding networks. Firstly, we assume that bi-temporal Remote Sensing images share the same latent space, for they are always acquired from the same land location. So SRUIT makes the generators share their high-level layers, and this constraint will compel two domain mapping to fall into the same latent space. Secondly, considering land covers of bi-temporal images could evolve into each other, SRUIT exploits the cross-cycle-consistent adversarial networks to translate from one to the other and recover them. Experimental results show that constraints of sharing weights and cross-cycle consistency enable translated images with both good perceptual image quality and semantic preservation for significant differences.

IPED: An Implicit Perspective for Relational Triple Extraction based on Diffusion Model

Relational triple extraction is a fundamental task in the field of information extraction, and a promising framework based on table filling has recently gained attention as a potential baseline for entity relation extraction. However, inherent shortcomings such as redundant information and incomplete triple recognition remain problematic. To address these challenges, we propose an Implicit Perspective for relational triple Extraction based on Diffusion model (IPED), an innovative approach for extracting relational triples. Our classifier-free solution adopts an implicit strategy using block coverage to complete the tables, avoiding the limitations of explicit tagging methods. Additionally, we introduce a generative model structure, the block-denoising diffusion model, to collaborate with our implicit perspective and effectively circumvent redundant information disruptions. Experimental results on two popular datasets demonstrate that IPED achieves state-of-the-art performance while gaining superior inference speed and low computational complexity. To support future research, we have made our source code publicly available online.

Privacy-Preserving Sequential Recommendation with Collaborative Confusion

Sequential recommendation has attracted a lot of attention from both academia and industry, however the privacy risks associated to gathering and transferring users' personal interaction data are often underestimated or ignored. Existing privacy-preserving studies are mainly applied to traditional collaborative filtering or matrix factorization rather than sequential recommendation. Moreover, these studies are mostly based on differential privacy or federated learning, which often leads to significant performance degradation, or has high requirements for communication. In this work, we address privacy-preserving from a different perspective. Unlike existing research, we capture collaborative signals of neighbor interaction sequences and directly inject indistinguishable items into the target sequence before the recommendation process begins, thereby increasing the perplexity of the target sequence. Even if the target interaction sequence is obtained by attackers, it is difficult to discern which ones are the actual user interaction records. To achieve this goal, we propose a CoLlaborative-cOnfusion seqUential recommenDer, namely CLOUD, which incorporates a collaborative confusion mechanism to edit the raw interaction sequences before conducting recommendation. Specifically, CLOUD first calculates the similarity between the target interaction sequence and other neighbor sequences to find similar sequences. Then, CLOUD considers the shared representation of the target sequence and similar sequences to determine the operation to be performed: keep, delete, or insert. We design a copy mechanism to make items from similar sequences have a higher probability to be inserted into the target sequence. Finally, the modified sequence is used to train the recommender and predict the next item.

Matrix Expression of Finite Boolean-type Algebras

Boolean-type algebra (BTA) is investigated. A BTA is decomposed into Boolean-type lattice (BTL) and a complementation algebra (CA). When the object set is finite, the matrix expressions of BTL and CA (and then BTA) are presented. The construction and certain properties of BTAs are investigated via their matrix expression, including the homomorphism and isomorphism, etc. Then the product/decomposition of BTLs are considered. A necessary and sufficient condition for decomposition of BTA is obtained. Finally, a universal generator is provided for arbitrary finite universal algebras.
