YesTrack: Referring Multi-Object Tracking via MLLM-based Yes/No Verification

Referring multi-object tracking (RMOT) aims to track every instance in a video that matches a given language expression. Despite the recent integration of multimodal large language models (MLLMs) to enhance generalization, existing methods predominantly relegate them to the role of caption generators, necessitating external modules for final decision-making. This paradigm not only introduces extra latency but also severely underutilizes the inherent vision-language alignment capabilities of MLLMs. To address these limitations, we propose YesTrack, a novel two-stage RMOT method that reformulates referring as a discriminative task, directly leveraging MLLMs for Yes/No verification without explicit text generation. To further enhance the reliability and efficiency of this MLLM-based verification, we introduce two lightweight temporal consistency constraints: Temporal Confidence Prior (TCP) and Temporal Reference Propagation (TRP). We further validate the generality of this discriminative paradigm by proposing YesTrack-MOT, a straightforward yet highly effective instantiation for generic multi-object tracking (MOT). Experiments on Refer-KITTI and Refer-KITTI-V2 show that YesTrack significantly outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods while maintaining high efficiency, even when implemented with the smallest variant of Qwen3-VL. Code is released at https://github.com/ggbondrighthere24/YesTrack.

LNN-Fly: Continuous-Time UAV Navigation for Robust Obstacle Avoidance under Timing Mismatch

End-to-end unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) navigation can achieve impressive agility in simulation, yet its obstacle-avoidance behavior often degrades after deployment because the policy must tolerate simulator mismatch, sensing irregularity, and variable-rate control. These effects are especially dangerous in cluttered environments, where stale observations or short control irregularities can directly lead to collisions. We present LNN-Fly, a deployment-oriented continuous-time navigation policy for LiDAR-based UAV obstacle avoidance. The policy combines a dynamic-programming-inspired structured recurrent update, explicit conditioning on the elapsed control interval Δt, and an input-driven adaptive forgetting gate that refreshes stale latent state near hazards while preserving consistency during sustained maneuvers. It is trained with differentiable rollouts that incorporate deployment-relevant sensing and timing perturbations. In simulation, LNN-Fly improves obstacle-avoidance performance in the tested settings and shows better tolerance to reduced control frequency, sparse observations, and control-period jitter. It also transfers zero-shot from a simplified differentiable simulator to a physical quadrotor. In indoor cross-frequency real-world tests, the system achieves 100% success over 20 flights, while policy inference has a median latency of 0.514 ms on a desktop graphics processing unit (GPU) and about 2.5 ms on the onboard central processing unit (CPU), with onboard P95 latency below 30 ms.

GEA: Generation-Enhanced Alignment for Text-to-Image Person Retrieval

Text-to-Image Person Retrieval (TIPR) aims to retrieve person images based on natural language descriptions. Although many TIPR methods have achieved promising results, sometimes textual queries cannot accurately and comprehensively reflect the content of the image, leading to poor cross-modal alignment and overfitting to limited datasets. Moreover, the inherent modality gap between text and image further amplifies these issues, making accurate cross-modal retrieval even more challenging. To address these limitations, we propose the Generation-Enhanced Alignment (GEA) from a generative perspective. GEA contains two parallel modules: (1) Text-Guided Token Enhancement (TGTE), which introduces diffusion-generated images as intermediate semantic representations to bridge the gap between text and visual patterns. These generated images enrich the semantic representation of text and facilitate cross-modal alignment. (2) Generative Intermediate Fusion (GIF), which combines cross-attention between generated images, original images, and text features to generate a unified representation optimized by triplet alignment loss. We conduct extensive experiments on three public TIPR datasets, CUHK-PEDES, RSTPReid, and ICFG-PEDES, to evaluate the performance of GEA. The results justify the effectiveness of our method. More implementation details and extended results are available at https://github.com/sugelamyd123/Sup-for-GEA.

Few-shot fault diagnosis based on multi-scale graph convolution filtering for industry

Industrial equipment fault diagnosis often encounter challenges such as the scarcity of fault data, complex operating conditions, and varied types of failures. Signal analysis, data statistical learning, and conventional deep learning techniques face constraints under these conditions due to their substantial data requirements and the necessity for transfer learning to accommodate new failure modes. To effectively leverage information and extract the intrinsic characteristics of faults across different domains under limited sample conditions, this paper introduces a fault diagnosis approach employing Multi-Scale Graph Convolution Filtering (MSGCF). MSGCF enhances the traditional Graph Neural Network (GNN) framework by integrating both local and global information fusion modules within the graph convolution filter block. This advancement effectively mitigates the over-smoothing issue associated with excessive layering of graph convolutional layers while preserving a broad receptive field. It also reduces the risk of overfitting in few-shot diagnosis, thereby augmenting the model's representational capacity. Experiments on the University of Paderborn bearing dataset (PU) demonstrate that the MSGCF method proposed herein surpasses alternative approaches in accuracy, thereby offering valuable insights for industrial fault diagnosis in few-shot learning scenarios.

A novel fault localization with data refinement for hydroelectric units

Due to the scarcity of fault samples and the complexity of non-linear and non-smooth characteristics data in hydroelectric units, most of the traditional hydroelectric unit fault localization methods are difficult to carry out accurate localization. To address these problems, a sparse autoencoder (SAE)-generative adversarial network (GAN)-wavelet noise reduction (WNR)- manifold-boosted deep learning (SG-WMBDL) based fault localization method for hydroelectric units is proposed. To overcome the data scarcity, a SAE is embedded into the GAN to generate more high-quality samples in the data generation module. Considering the signals involving non-linear and non-smooth characteristics, the improved WNR which combining both soft and hard thresholding and local linear embedding (LLE) are utilized to the data preprocessing module in order to reduce the noise and effectively capture the local features. In addition, to seek higher performance, the novel Adaptive Boost (AdaBoost) combined with multi deep learning is proposed to achieve accurate fault localization. The experimental results show that the SG-WMBDL can locate faults for hydroelectric units under a small number of fault samples with non-linear and non-smooth characteristics on higher precision and accuracy compared to other frontier methods, which verifies the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed method.

Unsupervised Anomaly Detection via Masked Diffusion Posterior Sampling

Reconstruction-based methods have been commonly used for unsupervised anomaly detection, in which a normal image is reconstructed and compared with the given test image to detect and locate anomalies. Recently, diffusion models have shown promising applications for anomaly detection due to their powerful generative ability. However, these models lack strict mathematical support for normal image reconstruction and unexpectedly suffer from low reconstruction quality. To address these issues, this paper proposes a novel and highly-interpretable method named Masked Diffusion Posterior Sampling (MDPS). In MDPS, the problem of normal image reconstruction is mathematically modeled as multiple diffusion posterior sampling for normal images based on the devised masked noisy observation model and the diffusion-based normal image prior under Bayesian framework. Using a metric designed from pixel-level and perceptual-level perspectives, MDPS can effectively compute the difference map between each normal posterior sample and the given test image. Anomaly scores are obtained by averaging all difference maps for multiple posterior samples. Exhaustive experiments on MVTec and BTAD datasets demonstrate that MDPS can achieve state-of-the-art performance in normal image reconstruction quality as well as anomaly detection and localization.

Variational Probabilistic Fusion Network for RGB-T Semantic Segmentation

RGB-T semantic segmentation has been widely adopted to handle hard scenes with poor lighting conditions by fusing different modality features of RGB and thermal images. Existing methods try to find an optimal fusion feature for segmentation, resulting in sensitivity to modality noise, class-imbalance, and modality bias. To overcome the problems, this paper proposes a novel Variational Probabilistic Fusion Network (VPFNet), which regards fusion features as random variables and obtains robust segmentation by averaging segmentation results under multiple samples of fusion features. The random samples generation of fusion features in VPFNet is realized by a novel Variational Feature Fusion Module (VFFM) designed based on variation attention. To further avoid class-imbalance and modality bias, we employ the weighted cross-entropy loss and introduce prior information of illumination and category to control the proposed VFFM. Experimental results on MFNet and PST900 datasets demonstrate that the proposed VPFNet can achieve state-of-the-art segmentation performance.
