Estimating the disjoining pressure of liquid nanofilms from molecular dynamics simulations via implicit treatment of the bulk liquid phase

The commonly adopted constant bulk liquid density approximation for estimating disjoining pressure in liquid nanofilms, although justified by the low compressibility of liquids, can introduce significant errors in its evaluation. We hypothesize that the bulk liquid density is a thermodynamic state variable that depends on film thickness and local pressure, and should therefore be determined self-consistently to accurately capture interfacial forces under confinement. A thermodynamically consistent molecular dynamics simulation framework is developed by coupling a surface-tension-based formulation with bulk equations of state obtained from independent simulations. An iterative algorithm is employed to simultaneously determine bulk liquid density, film thickness, and disjoining pressure. The method is applied to water and argon nanofilms, and results are benchmarked against conventional constant-density approaches and alternative computational routes based on chemical potential calculation. The proposed framework provides a computationally efficient and thermodynamically rigorous route for evaluating disjoining pressure without requiring explicit full coexisting system simulations. Incorporating density variations significantly improves the accuracy and consistency of predicted disjoining pressures. For water nanofilms, a 3.6% deviation in density can lead to up to 77% overestimation of disjoining pressure at a thickness of 12 Å, whereas the effect is weaker but still non-negligible for argon. The proposed framework restores the inverse-cubic scaling with film thickness predicted by Hamaker theory and reduces discrepancies between independent computational methods. Overall, the results demonstrate that self-consistent treatment of bulk thermodynamics is essential for quantitatively reliable evaluation of surface forces in confined fluid systems.

An interactive enhanced driving dataset for autonomous driving

Driving interaction data are important for training and evaluating autonomous drivingVision-Language-Action (VLA) models, but existing datasets contain limited denseinteraction samples and weak alignment between trajectories, visual inputs, and languageannotations. This work presents the Interactive Enhanced Driving Dataset (IEDD), alarge-scale interaction-oriented dataset constructed from five naturalistic trajectory datasets:Lyft Level 5, Waymo, nuPlan, INTERACTION, and SIND. IEDD contains 7.31 millionego-centric interaction segments, including 6.66 million multi agents cases, covering head-on,car-following, merging, and crossing interactions. Each segment is associated withtrajectory-derived interaction metrics describing interaction intensity and efficiency. Based onthese annotations, IEDD-VQA further provides trajectory-reconstructed BEV videos, structured interaction semantics, and multi-turn question-answer pairs. The dataset cansupport interaction mining, long-tail scenario analysis, VLA instruction tuning, andhierarchical evaluation of perception, behavior description, physical quantification, andcounterfactual reasoning.

IQuest-Coder-V1 Technical Report

In this report, we introduce the IQuest-Coder-V1 series-(7B/14B/40B/40B-Loop), a new family of code large language models (LLMs). Moving beyond static code representations, we propose the code-flow multi-stage training paradigm, which captures the dynamic evolution of software logic through different phases of the pipeline. Our models are developed through the evolutionary pipeline, starting with the initial pre-training consisting of code facts, repository, and completion data. Following that, we implement a specialized mid-training stage that integrates reasoning and agentic trajectories in 32k-context and repository-scale in 128k-context to forge deep logical foundations. The models are then finalized with post-training of specialized coding capabilities, which is bifurcated into two specialized paths: the thinking path (utilizing reasoning-driven RL) and the instruct path (optimized for general assistance). IQuest-Coder-V1 achieves state-of-the-art performance among competitive models across critical dimensions of code intelligence: agentic software engineering, competitive programming, and complex tool use. To address deployment constraints, the IQuest-Coder-V1-Loop variant introduces a recurrent mechanism designed to optimize the trade-off between model capacity and deployment footprint, offering an architecturally enhanced path for efficacy-efficiency trade-off. We believe the release of the IQuest-Coder-V1 series, including the complete white-box chain of checkpoints from pre-training bases to the final thinking and instruction models, will advance research in autonomous code intelligence and real-world agentic systems.

SEval-NAS: A Search-Agnostic Evaluation for Neural Architecture Search

Neural architecture search (NAS) automates the discovery of neural networks that meet specified criteria, yet its evaluation procedures are often hardcoded, limiting the ability to introduce new metrics. This issue is especially pronounced in hardware-aware NAS, where objectives depend on target devices such as edge hardware. To address this limitation, we propose SEval-NAS, a metric-evaluation mechanism that converts architectures to strings, embeds them as vectors, and predicts performance metrics. Using NATS-Bench and HW-NAS-Bench, we evaluated accuracy, latency, and memory. Kendall's $τ$ correlations showed stronger latency and memory predictions than accuracy, indicating the suitability of SEval-NAS as a hardware cost predictor. We further integrated SEval-NAS into FreeREA to evaluate metrics not originally included. The method successfully ranked FreeREA-generated architectures, maintained search time, and required minimal algorithmic changes. Our implementation is available at: https://github.com/Analytics-Everywhere-Lab/neural-architecture-search

Short-term electricity load forecasting with multi-frequency reconstruction diffusion

Diffusion models have emerged as a powerful method in various applications. However, their application to Short-Term Electricity Load Forecasting (STELF) -- a typical scenario in energy systems -- remains largely unexplored. Considering the nonlinear and fluctuating characteristics of the load data, effectively utilizing the powerful modeling capabilities of diffusion models to enhance STELF accuracy remains a challenge. This paper proposes a novel diffusion model with multi-frequency reconstruction for STELF, referred to as the Multi-Frequency-Reconstruction-based Diffusion (MFRD) model. The MFRD model achieves accurate load forecasting through four key steps: (1) The original data is combined with the decomposed multi-frequency modes to form a new data representation; (2) The diffusion model adds noise to the new data, effectively reducing and weakening the noise in the original data; (3) The reverse process adopts a denoising network that combines Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Transformer to enhance noise removal; and (4) The inference process generates the final predictions based on the trained denoising network. To validate the effectiveness of the MFRD model, we conducted experiments on two data platforms: Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) and Independent System Operator of New England (ISO-NE). The experimental results show that our model consistently outperforms the compared models.

A Short-Term Integrated Wind Speed Prediction System Based on Fuzzy Set Feature Extraction

Wind energy has significant potential owing to the continuous growth of wind power and advancements in technology. However, the evolution of wind speed is influenced by the complex interaction of multiple factors, making it highly variable. The nonlinear and nonstationary nature of wind speed evolution can have a considerable impact on the overall power system. To address this challenge, we propose an integrated multiframe wind speed prediction system based on fuzzy feature extraction. This system employs a convex subset partitioning approach using a triangular affiliation function for fuzzy feature extraction. By applying soft clustering to the subsets, constructing an affiliation matrix, and identifying clustering centers, the system introduces the concepts of inner and boundary domains. It subsequently calculates the distances from data points to the clustering centers by measuring both interclass and intraclass distances. This method updates the cluster centers using the membership matrix, generating optimal feature values. Building on this foundation, we use multiple machine learning methods to input the fuzzy features into the prediction model and integrate learning techniques to predict feature values. Because different datasets require different modeling approaches, the integrated weight-updating module was used to dynamically adjust model weights by setting a dual objective function to ensure the accuracy and stability of the prediction. The effectiveness of the proposed model in terms of prediction performance and generalization ability is demonstrated through an empirical analysis of data from the Penglai wind farm.

Kimi k1.5: Scaling Reinforcement Learning with LLMs

Language model pretraining with next token prediction has proved effective for scaling compute but is limited to the amount of available training data. Scaling reinforcement learning (RL) unlocks a new axis for the continued improvement of artificial intelligence, with the promise that large language models (LLMs) can scale their training data by learning to explore with rewards. However, prior published work has not produced competitive results. In light of this, we report on the training practice of Kimi k1.5, our latest multi-modal LLM trained with RL, including its RL training techniques, multi-modal data recipes, and infrastructure optimization. Long context scaling and improved policy optimization methods are key ingredients of our approach, which establishes a simplistic, effective RL framework without relying on more complex techniques such as Monte Carlo tree search, value functions, and process reward models. Notably, our system achieves state-of-the-art reasoning performance across multiple benchmarks and modalities -- e.g., 77.5 on AIME, 96.2 on MATH 500, 94-th percentile on Codeforces, 74.9 on MathVista -- matching OpenAI's o1. Moreover, we present effective long2short methods that use long-CoT techniques to improve short-CoT models, yielding state-of-the-art short-CoT reasoning results -- e.g., 60.8 on AIME, 94.6 on MATH500, 47.3 on LiveCodeBench -- outperforming existing short-CoT models such as GPT-4o and Claude Sonnet 3.5 by a large margin (up to +550%).

SAGraph: A Large-Scale Social Graph Dataset with Comprehensive Context for Influencer Selection in Marketing

Influencer marketing campaign success heavily depends on identifying key opinion leaders who can effectively leverage their credibility and reach to promote products or services. The selecting influencers process is vital for boosting brand visibility, fostering consumer trust, and driving sales. While traditional research often simplifies complex factors like user attitudes, interaction frequency, and advertising content, into simple numerical values. However, this reductionist approach fails to capture the dynamic nature of influencer marketing effectiveness. To bridge this gap, we present SAGraph, a novel comprehensive dataset from Weibo that captures multi-dimensional marketing campaign data across six product domains. The dataset encompasses 345,039 user profiles with their complete interaction histories, including 1.3M comments and 554K reposts across 44K posts, providing unprecedented granularity in influencer marketing dynamics. SAGraph uniquely integrates user profiles, content features, and temporal interaction patterns, enabling in-depth analysis of influencer marketing mechanisms. Experimental results using both traditional baselines and state-of-the-art large language models (LLMs) demonstrate the crucial role of content analysis in predicting advertising effectiveness. Our findings reveal that LLM-based approaches achieve superior performance in understanding and predicting campaign success, opening new avenues for data-driven influencer marketing strategies. We hope that this dataset will inspire further research https://github.com/xiaoqzhwhu/SAGraph/.

Short-Term Electricity-Load Forecasting by Deep Learning: A Comprehensive Survey

Short-Term Electricity-Load Forecasting (STELF) refers to the prediction of the immediate demand (in the next few hours to several days) for the power system. Various external factors, such as weather changes and the emergence of new electricity consumption scenarios, can impact electricity demand, causing load data to fluctuate and become non-linear, which increases the complexity and difficulty of STELF. In the past decade, deep learning has been applied to STELF, modeling and predicting electricity demand with high accuracy, and contributing significantly to the development of STELF. This paper provides a comprehensive survey on deep-learning-based STELF over the past ten years. It examines the entire forecasting process, including data pre-processing, feature extraction, deep-learning modeling and optimization, and results evaluation. This paper also identifies some research challenges and potential research directions to be further investigated in future work.

Muon is Scalable for LLM Training

Recently, the Muon optimizer based on matrix orthogonalization has demonstrated strong results in training small-scale language models, but the scalability to larger models has not been proven. We identify two crucial techniques for scaling up Muon: (1) adding weight decay and (2) carefully adjusting the per-parameter update scale. These techniques allow Muon to work out-of-the-box on large-scale training without the need of hyper-parameter tuning. Scaling law experiments indicate that Muon achieves $\sim\!2\times$ computational efficiency compared to AdamW with compute optimal training. Based on these improvements, we introduce Moonlight, a 3B/16B-parameter Mixture-of-Expert (MoE) model trained with 5.7T tokens using Muon. Our model improves the current Pareto frontier, achieving better performance with much fewer training FLOPs compared to prior models. We open-source our distributed Muon implementation that is memory optimal and communication efficient. We also release the pretrained, instruction-tuned, and intermediate checkpoints to support future research.

A Large-scale Time-aware Agents Simulation for Influencer Selection in Digital Advertising Campaigns

In the digital world, influencers are pivotal as opinion leaders, shaping the views and choices of their influencees. Modern advertising often follows this trend, where marketers choose appropriate influencers for product endorsements, based on thorough market analysis. Previous studies on influencer selection have typically relied on numerical representations of individual opinions and interactions, a method that simplifies the intricacies of social dynamics. In this work, we first introduce a Time-aware Influencer Simulator (TIS), helping promoters identify and select the right influencers to market their products, based on LLM simulation. To validate our approach, we conduct experiments on the public advertising campaign dataset SAGraph which encompasses social relationships, posts, and user interactions. The results show that our method outperforms traditional numerical feature-based approaches and methods using limited LLM agents. Our research shows that simulating user timelines and content lifecycles over time simplifies scaling, allowing for large-scale agent simulations in social networks. Additionally, LLM-based agents for social recommendations and advertising offer substantial benefits for decision-making in promotional campaigns.

A novel hybrid model based on multi-objective Harris hawks optimization algorithm for daily PM2.5 and PM10 forecasting

High levels of air pollution may seriously affect people's living environment and even endanger their lives. In order to reduce air pollution concentrations, and warn the public before the occurrence of hazardous air pollutants, it is urgent to design an accurate and reliable air pollutant forecasting model. However, most previous research have many deficiencies, such as ignoring the importance of predictive stability, and poor initial parameters and so on, which have significantly effect on the performance of air pollution prediction. Therefore, to address these issues, a novel hybrid model is proposed in this study. Specifically, a powerful data preprocessing techniques is applied to decompose the original time series into different modes from low- frequency to high- frequency. Next, a new multi-objective algorithm called MOHHO is first developed in this study, which are introduced to tune the parameters of ELM model with high forecasting accuracy and stability for air pollution series prediction, simultaneously. And the optimized ELM model is used to perform the time series prediction. Finally, a scientific and robust evaluation system including several error criteria, benchmark models, and several experiments using six air pollutant concentrations time series from three cities in China is designed to perform a compressive assessment for the presented hybrid forecasting model. Experimental results indicate that the proposed hybrid model can guarantee a more stable and higher predictive performance compared to others, whose superior prediction ability may help to develop effective plans for air pollutant emissions and prevent health problems caused by air pollution.
