Revisiting Local Context for Long-Horizon Streaming 3D Reconstruction

Streaming 3D reconstruction from extremely long videos requires estimating camera motion and scene geometry online under bounded memory and computation. Early streaming models achieve causal, bounded-cost inference using finite context buffers or compact recurrent states, yet their estimates often deteriorate as sequences grow. Recent methods improve long-horizon stability by coupling short-range context with persistent or multi-level long-range memory. We pursue a different route: we keep the learned temporal state strictly local and formulate predictions whose targets remain independent of sequence length. We present ABot-Recon, a simple streaming model that caches KV features from only the preceding 11 frames. It predicts a point map in the current camera coordinate system together with an adjacent-frame relative pose. These predictions remain equivariant under changes of reference frame, and global poses and geometry are recovered through sequential composition. To reduce accumulated drift, a lightweight temporal refiner improves relative rotations using recent visual and motion context, while a composition-aware pose loss supervises multi-step pose composition. Extensive evaluations on challenging long-sequence benchmarks demonstrate the superior long-horizon performance of our local-context approach. On Oxford Spires, ABot-Recon achieves an ATE of 4.35 m and an RPE-R of $0.12^\circ$, reducing both errors by approximately 40\% relative to the best prior results.

ABot-Earth 0.5: Generative 3D Earth Model

We present ABot-Earth 0.5, a generative 3D framework designed to synthesize vast, seamless 3D environments from ubiquitous, geospatially referenced satellite imagery. To achieve this, we propose a novel generative model formulated directly with the 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) representation. The model is trained on a diverse corpus of existing real-world urban reconstructions, learning to generate realistic geometry and textures. At inference, it synthesizes novel 3D scenes conditioned solely on satellite imagery at a scalable rate of under 10 minutes per square kilometer, while demonstrating exceptional realism. The framework is designed for accessibility, with integrated hierarchical level-of-detail (LOD) structures that permit real-time, interactive visualization on web-based map engines. This high-fidelity simulation sandbox effectively mitigates the sim-to-real domain gap, enabling critical downstream Embodied AI applications like closed-loop UAV navigation. By providing an ultra-low-cost and high-efficiency solution, ABot-Earth 0.5 significantly lowers the technical and financial barriers to large-scale 3D reconstruction and empowers the future of global digital earth visualization.

Anti-collision Technologies for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles: Recent Advances and Future Trends

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are widely applied in civil applications, such as disaster relief, agriculture and cargo transportation, etc. With the massive number of UAV flight activities, the anti-collision technologies aiming to avoid the collisions between UAVs and other objects have attracted much attention. The anti-collision technologies are of vital importance to guarantee the survivability and safety of UAVs. In this article, a comprehensive survey on UAV anti-collision technologies is presented. We firstly introduce laws and regulations on UAV safety which prevent collision at the policy level. Then, the process of anti-collision technologies are reviewed from three aspects, i.e., obstacle sensing, collision prediction, and collision avoidance. We provide detailed survey and comparison of the methods of each aspect and analyze their pros and cons. Besides, the future trends on UAV anti-collision technologies are presented from the perspective of fast obstacle sensing and fast wireless networking. Finally, we summarize this article.
