Wireless Personal Agent: Extending Wireless Intelligence from Networks to Terminals

Wireless networks are evolving from connectivity-oriented infrastructures into intelligent and personalized service platforms. Existing wireless intelligence remains centered on network-side optimization, improving objectives such as throughput, latency, and coverage. Nevertheless, besides network performance, wireless intelligence also depends on user-perceived experience via application context, mobility routine, service cost, privacy preference, and long-term usage behavior. This article proposes WISPA, a Wireless Intelligent Self-evolving Personal Agent framework for automated terminal-side resource management based on large language model (LLM)-based agent. To overcome the resource constraints on terminals, WISPA decouples the latency-sensitive online resource execution from offline LLM agent reflection. In this way, a lightweight online executor makes deterministic resource decisions using interpretable preference parameters; While an offline LLM agent analyzes terminal-side traces, refines user profiles, and updates online preference parameters for subsequent decisions. At last, we demonstrate the practical applicability and benefits of WISPA for terminal-side resource allocations on a campus commute route. Numerical results show that WISPA learns user-specific connection styles and adapts access decisions as preferences change.

From Raw Data to Shared 3D Semantics: Task-Oriented Communication for Multi-Robot Collaboration

Multi-robot systems (MRS) rely on exchanging raw sensory data to cooperate in complex three-dimensional (3D) environments. However, this strategy often leads to severe communication congestion and high transmission latency, significantly degrading collaboration efficiency. This paper proposes a decentralized task-oriented semantic communication framework for multi-robot collaboration in unknown 3D environments. Each robot locally extracts compact, task-relevant semantics using a lightweight Pixel Difference Network (PiDiNet) with geometric processing. It shares only these semantic updates to build a task-sufficient 3D scene representation that supports cooperative perception, navigation, and object transport. Our numerical results show that the proposed method exhibits a dramatic reduction in communication overhead from $858.6$ Mb to $4.0$ Mb (over $200\times$ compression gain) while improving collaboration efficiency by shortening task completion from $1,054$ to $281$ steps.

An LLM-Agent-Based Framework for Age of Information Optimization in Heterogeneous Random Access Networks

With the rapid expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT) and heterogeneous wireless networks, the Age of Information (AoI) has emerged as a critical metric for evaluating the performance of real-time and personalized systems. While AoI-based random access is essential for next-generation applications such as the low-altitude economy and indoor service robots, existing strategies, ranging from rule-based protocols to learning-based methods, face critical challenges, including idealized model assumptions, slow convergence, and poor generalization. In this article, we propose Reflex-Core, a novel Large Language Model (LLM) agent-based framework for AoI-driven random access in heterogeneous networks. By devising an "Observe-Reflect-Decide-Execute" closed-loop mechanism, this framework integrates Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) and Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) to enable optimal, autonomous access control. Based on the Reflex-Core framework, we develop a Reflexive Multiple Access (RMA) protocol and a priority-based RMA variant for intelligent access control under different heterogeneous network settings. Experimental results demonstrate that in the investigated scenarios, the RMA protocol achieves up to a 14.9% reduction in average AoI compared with existing baselines, while the priority-based version improves the convergence rate by approximately 20%.
