Lie n-algebras and cohomologies of relative Rota-Baxter operators on n-Lie algebras

Based on the differential graded Lie algebra controlling deformations of an $n$-Lie algebra with a representation (called an n-LieRep pair), we construct a Lie n-algebra, whose Maurer-Cartan elements characterize relative Rota-Baxter operators on n-LieRep pairs. The notion of an n-pre-Lie algebra is introduced, which is the underlying algebraic structure of the relative Rota-Baxter operator. We give the cohomology of relative Rota-Baxter operators and study infinitesimal deformations and extensions of order m deformations to order m+1 deformations of relative Rota-Baxter operators through the cohomology groups of relative Rota-Baxter operators. Moreover, we build the relation between the cohomology groups of relative Rota-Baxter operators on n-LieRep pairs and those on (n+1)-LieRep pairs by certain linear functions.

Kupershmidt-(dual-)Nijenhuis structures on a Lie algebra with a representation

In this paper, first we study infinitesimal deformations of a Lie algebra with a representation and introduce the notion of a Nijenhuis pair, which gives a trivial deformation of a Lie algebra with a representation. Then we introduce the notion of a Kupershmidt-(dual-)Nijenhuis structure on a Lie algebra with a representation, which is a generalization of the $r$-$n$ structure ($r$-matrix-Nijenhuis structure) introduced by Ravanpak, Rezaei-Aghdam and Haghighatdoost. We show that a Kupershmidt-(dual-)Nijenhuis structure gives rise to a hierarchy of Kupershmidt operators. Finally, we define a Rota-Baxter-Nijenhuis structure to be a Kupershmidt-Nijenhuis structure on a Lie algebra with respect to the adjoint representation, and study the relation between Rota-Baxter-Nijenhuis structures and $r$-matrix-Nijenhuis structures.

Noncommutative Poisson bialgebras

In this paper, we introduce the notion of a noncommutative Poisson bialgebra, and establish the equivalence between matched pairs, Manin triples and noncommutative Poisson bialgebras. Using quasi-representations and the corresponding cohomology theory of noncommutative Poisson algebras, we study coboundary noncommutative Poisson bialgebras which leads to the introduction of the Poisson Yang-Baxter equation. A skew-symmetric solution of the Poisson Yang-Baxter equation naturally gives a (coboundary) noncommutative Poisson bialgebra. Rota-Baxter operators, more generally O-operators on noncommutative Poisson algebras, and noncommutative pre-Poisson algebras are introduced, by which we construct skew-symmetric solutions of the Poisson Yang-Baxter equation in some special noncommutative Poisson algebras obtained from these structures.

Pre-Lie analogues of Poisson-Nijenhuis structures and Maurer-Cartan equations

In this paper, we study pre-Lie analogues of Poisson-Nijenhuis structures and introduce ON-structures on bimodules over pre-Lie algebras. We show that an ON-structure gives rise to a hierarchy of pairwise compatible O-operators. We study solutions of the strong Maurer-Cartan equation on the twilled pre-Lie algebra associated to an O-operator, which gives rise to a pair of ON-structures which are naturally in duality. We show that KVN-structures and HN-structures on a pre-Lie algebra g are corresponding to ON-structures on the bimodule $(\mathfrak g^*;\mathrm{ad}^*,-R^*)$, and $KVΩ$-structures are corresponding to solutions of the strong Maurer-Cartan equation on a twilled pre-Lie algebra associated to an $s$-matrix.

Twisting on pre-Lie algebras and quasi-pre-Lie bialgebras

We study (quasi-)twilled pre-Lie algebras and the associated $L_\infty$-algebras and differential graded Lie algebras. Then we show that certain twisting transformations on (quasi-)twilled pre-Lie algbras can be characterized by the solutions of Maurer-Cartan equations of the associated differential graded Lie algebras ($L_\infty$-algebras). Furthermore, we show that $\mathcal{O}$-operators and twisted $\mathcal{O}$-operators are solutions of the Maurer-Cartan equations. As applications, we study (quasi-)pre-Lie bialgebras using the associated differential graded Lie algebras ($L_\infty$-algebras) and the twisting theory of (quasi-)twilled pre-Lie algebras. In particular, we give a construction of quasi-pre-Lie bialgebras using symplectic Lie algebras, which is parallel to that a Cartan $3$-form on a semi-simple Lie algebra gives a quasi-Lie bialgebra.

Koszul-Vinberg structures and compatible structures on left-symmetric algebroids

In this paper, we introduce the notion of Koszul-Vinberg-Nijenhuis structures on a left-symmetric algebroid as analogues of Poisson-Nijenhuis structures on a Lie algebroid, and show that a Koszul-Vinberg-Nijenhuis structure gives rise to a hierarchy of Koszul-Vinberg structures. We introduce the notions of ${\rm KVΩ}$-structures, pseudo-Hessian-Nijenhuis structures and complementary symmetric $2$-tensors for Koszul-Vinberg structures on left-symmetric algebroids, which are analogues of ${\rm PΩ}$-structures, symplectic-Nijenhuis structures and complementary $2$-forms for Poisson structures. We also study the relationships between these various structures.

F-manifold algebras and deformation quantization via pre-Lie algebras

The notion of an F-manifold algebra is the underlying algebraic structure of an $F$-manifold. We introduce the notion of pre-Lie formal deformations of commutative associative algebras and show that F-manifold algebras are the corresponding semi-classical limits. We study pre-Lie infinitesimal deformations and extension of pre-Lie n-deformation to pre-Lie (n+1)-deformation of a commutative associative algebra through the cohomology groups of pre-Lie algebras. We introduce the notions of pre-F-manifold algebras and dual pre-F-manifold algebras, and show that a pre-F-manifold algebra gives rise to an F-manifold algebra through the sub-adjacent associative algebra and the sub-adjacent Lie algebra. We use Rota-Baxter operators, more generally O-operators and average operators on F-manifold algebras to construct pre-F-manifold algebras and dual pre-F-manifold algebras.

Homotopy Poisson algebras, Maurer-Cartan elements and Dirac structures of CLWX 2-algebroids

In this paper, we construct a homotopy Poisson algebra of degree 3 associated to a split Lie 2-algebroid, by which we give a new approach to characterize a split Lie 2-bialgebroid. We develop the differential calculus associated to a split Lie 2-algebroid and establish the Manin triple theory for split Lie 2-algebroids. More precisely, we give the notion of a strict Dirac structure and define a Manin triple for split Lie 2-algebroids to be a CLWX 2-algebroid with two transversal strict Dirac structures. We show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between Manin triples for split Lie 2-algebroids and split Lie 2-bialgebroids. We further introduce the notion of a weak Dirac structure of a CLWX 2-algebroid and show that the graph of a Maurer-Cartan element of the homotopy Poisson algebra of degree 3 associated to a split Lie 2-bialgebroid is a weak Dirac structure. Various examples including the string Lie 2-algebra, split Lie 2-algebroids constructed from integrable distributions and left-symmetric algebroids are given.

QP-structures of degree 3 and CLWX 2-algebroids

In this paper, we give the notion of a CLWX 2-algebroid and show that a QP-structure of degree 3 gives rise to a CLWX 2-algebroid. This is the higher analogue of the result that a QP-structure of degree 2 gives rise to a Courant algebroid. A CLWX 2-algebroid can also be viewed as a categorified Courant algebroid. We show that one can obtain a Lie 3-algebra from a CLWX 2-algebroid. Furthermore, CLWX 2-algebroids are constructed from split Lie 2-algebroids and split Lie 2-bialgebroids.

Nijenhuis operators on pre-Lie algebras

First we use a new approach to give a graded Lie algebra whose Maurer-Cartan elements characterize pre-Lie algebra structures. Then using this graded Lie bracket we define the notion of a Nijenhuis operator on a pre-Lie algebra which generates a trivial deformation of this pre-Lie algebra. There are close relationships between O-operators, Rota-Baxter operators and Nijenhuis operators on a pre-Lie algebra. In particular, a Nijenhuis operator "connects" two O-operators on a pre-Lie algebra whose any linear combination is still an O-operator in certain sense and hence compatible L-dendriform algebras appear naturally as the induced algebraic structures. For the case of the dual representation of the regular representation of a pre-Lie algebra, there is a geometric interpretation by introducing the notion of a pseudo-Hessian-Nijenhuis structure which gives rise to a sequence of pseudo-Hessian and pseudo-Hessian-Nijenhuis structures. Another application of Nijenhuis operators on pre-Lie algebras in geometry is illustrated by introducing the notion of a para-complex structure on a pre-Lie algebra and then studying paracomplex quadratic pre-Lie algebras and paracomplex pseudo-Hessian pre-Lie algebras in detail. Finally, we give some examples of Nijenhuis operators on pre-Lie algebras.

Left-symmetric bialgebroids and their corresponding Manin triples

In this paper, we introduce the notion of a left-symmetric bialgebroid as a geometric generalization of a left-symmetric bialgebra and construct a left-symmetric bialgebroid from a pseudo-Hessian manifold. We also introduce the notion of a Manin triple for left-symmetric algebroids, which is equivalent to a left-symmetric bialgebroid. The corresponding double structure is a pre-symplectic algebroid rather than a left-symmetric algebroid. In particular, we establish a relation between Maurer-Cartan type equations and Dirac structures of the pre-symplectic algebroid which is the corresponding double structure for a left-symmetric bialgebroid.

Omni $n$-Lie algebras and linearization of higher analogues of Courant algebroids

In this paper, we introduce the notion of an omni $n$-Lie algebra and show that they are linearization of higher analogues of standard Courant algebroids. We also introduce the notion of a nonabelian omni $n$-Lie algebra and show that they are linearization of higher analogues of Courant algebroids associated to Nambu-Poisson manifolds.

Pre-symplectic algebroids and their applications

In this paper, we introduce the notion of a pre-symplectic algebroid, and show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between pre-symplectic algebroids and symplectic Lie algebroids. This result is the geometric generalization of the relation between left-symmetric algebras and symplectic (Frobenius) Lie algebras. Although pre-symplectic algebroids are not left-symmetric algebroids, they still can be viewed as the underlying structures of symplectic Lie algebroids. %We study three classes of pre-symplectic algebroids in detail. Then we study exact pre-symplectic algebroids and show that they are classified by the third cohomology group of a left-symmetric algebroid. Finally, we study para-complex pre-symplectic algebroids. Associated to a para-complex pre-symplectic algebroid, there is a pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebroid. The multiplication in a para-complex pre-symplectic algebroid characterizes the restriction to the Lagrangian subalgebroids of the Levi-Civita connection in the corresponding pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebroid.

A new approach to representations of $3$-Lie algebras and abelian extensions

In this paper, we introduce the notion of generalized representation of a $3$-Lie algebra, by which we obtain a generalized semidirect product $3$-Lie algebra. Moreover, we develop the corresponding cohomology theory. Various examples of generalized representations of 3-Lie algebras and computation of 2-cocycles of the new cohomology are provided. Also, we show that a split abelian extension of a 3-Lie algebra is isomorphic to a generalized semidirect product $3$-Lie algebra. Furthermore, we describe general abelian extensions of 3-Lie algebras using Maurer-Cartan elements.

On non-abelian extensions of Leibniz algebras

In this paper, first we classify non-abelian extensions of Leibniz algebras by the second non-abelian cohomology. Then, we construct Leibniz 2-algebras using derivations of Leibniz algebras, and show that under a condition on the center, a non-abelian extension of Leibniz algebras can be described by a Leibniz 2-algebra morphism. At last, we give a description of non-abelian extensions in terms of Maurer-Cartan elements in a differential graded Lie algebra.

Hom-Lie algebroids, Hom-Lie bialgebroids and Hom-Courant algebroids

In this paper, first we modify the definition of a Hom-Lie algebroid introduced by Laurent-Gengoux and Teles and give its equivalent dual description. Many results that parallel to Lie algebroids are given. In particular, we give the notion of a Hom-Poisson manifold and show that there is a Hom-Lie algebroid structure on the pullback of the cotangent bundle of a Hom-Poisson manifold. Then we give the notion of a Hom-Lie bialgebroid, which is a natural generalization of a purely Hom-Lie bialgebra and a Lie bialgebroid. We show that the base manifold of a Hom-Lie bialgebroid is a Hom-Poisson manifold. Finally, we introduce the notion of a Hom-Courant algebroid and show that the double of a Hom-Lie bialgebroid is a Hom-Courant algebroid. The underlying algebraic structure of a Hom-Courant algebroid is a Hom-Leibniz algebra, or a Hom-Lie 2-algebra.

Nijenhuis operators on $n$-Lie algebras

In this paper, we study $(n-1)$-order deformations of an $n$-Lie algebra and introduce the notion of a Nijenhuis operator on an $n$-Lie algebra, which could give rise to trivial deformations. We prove that a polynomial of a Nijenhuis operator is still a Nijenhuis operator. Finally, we give various constructions of Nijenhuis operators and some examples.

Left-symmetric algebroids

In this paper, we introduce a notion of a left-symmetric algebroid, which is a generalization of a left-symmetric algebra from a vector space to a vector bundle. The left multiplication gives rise to a representation of the corresponding sub-adjacent Lie algebroid. We construct left-symmetric algebroids from $\mathcal O$-operators on Lie algebroids. We study phase spaces of Lie algebroids in terms of left-symmetric algebroids. Representations of left-symmetric algebroids are studied in detail. At last, we study deformations of left-symmetric algebroids, which could be controlled by the second cohomology class in the deformation cohomology.
