Beyond Proposals: Region-Consistent Open-Set Object Detection

Open-set object detection (OSOD) suffers from a fundamental limitation under dense proposal mechanisms: highly overlapping proposals associated with the same object are often assigned contradictory known/unknown predictions. Existing methods perform open-set reasoning independently for each proposal, while ignoring the shared semantics among correlated proposals, resulting in fragmented detections and unstable open-set decisions. In this paper, we reformulate OSOD as an object-centric semantic inference problem, where correlated proposals jointly support a coherent region-level semantic decision. Based on this perspective, we propose OCSI-Net, a unified framework that combines object-centric semantic consistency with geometry-aware uncertainty stabilization. Specifically, OCSI-Net aggregates correlated proposals into structured region clusters and infers region-level semantics from aggregated semantic evidence, thereby enforcing coherent open-set predictions within the same object region. Furthermore, a geometry-aware uncertainty mechanism is introduced to stabilize optimization near open-set transition boundaries. Extensive experiments on multiple benchmarks demonstrate that OCSI-Net consistently achieves state-of-the-art performance, improving the harmonic mean of known and unknown detection by an average of 6.83\% over the second-best method.

RATR: Training-Free Material Rebinding via Role Assignment and Temporal Routing

Material rebinding aims to transfer the material appearance from a reference image while preserving the target object's geometry and identity. Existing methods typically struggle to balance material fidelity with structural preservation due to the coupled influence of structural and appearance cues in their visual conditions. We identify role entanglement in the target and reference conditions as a contributing factor the target condition carries both geometry and its original appearance while the reference condition contains material cues alongside object-specific structure. To address this issue, we propose RATR, a training-free material rebinding method built on a diffusion-based image editor that assigns complementary roles to the two conditions and coordinates their influence during denoising. To make the target condition primarily convey structure, we introduce an albedo-resolved surface release mechanism, which suppresses the target's original surface appearance while retaining geometric cues, yielding a structure-oriented condition for material transfer. On the reference side, the designed material evidence isolation mechanism emphasizes material cues while reducing interference from object-specific structure, yielding a complementary material-oriented condition.

Exploring Robust Face-Voice Matching in Multilingual Environments

This paper presents Team Xaiofei's innovative approach to exploring Face-Voice Association in Multilingual Environments (FAME) at ACM Multimedia 2024. We focus on the impact of different languages in face-voice matching by building upon Fusion and Orthogonal Projection (FOP), introducing four key components: a dual-branch structure, dynamic sample pair weighting, robust data augmentation, and score polarization strategy. Our dual-branch structure serves as an auxiliary mechanism to better integrate and provide more comprehensive information. We also introduce a dynamic weighting mechanism for various sample pairs to optimize learning. Data augmentation techniques are employed to enhance the model's generalization across diverse conditions. Additionally, score polarization strategy based on age and gender matching confidence clarifies and accentuates the final results. Our methods demonstrate significant effectiveness, achieving an equal error rate (EER) of 20.07 on the V2-EH dataset and 21.76 on the V1-EU dataset.
