On the largest strongly connected component of randomly oriented divisor graphs

We introduce the study of \textit{randomly oriented divisor graphs}. For each $ρ\in [0,1]$, the randomly oriented divisor graph $\mathcal{D}_ρ(N)$ is obtained from the divisor graph on $\{1, 2, \ldots, N\}$ by directing each edge according to divisibility and independently reversing the direction of each edge with probability $ρ$. We study the expected size of the largest strongly connected component, $\textbf{E}[\#Φ(\mathcal{D}_ρ(N))]$. Our main result gives a lower bound for this quantity in terms of the distribution of values of the divisor function $τ(n)$. As a consequence, we show that for any fixed $ρ\in (0,1)$, the largest strongly connected component has expected size asymptotic to $N$. To obtain explicit bounds, we prove an effective version of a theorem of Hardy and Ramanujan on the normal order of $\log τ(n)$, which may be of independent interest.

Cryogenic Magnetization Dynamics in Chemically Stabilized, Tensile-Strained Ultrathin Yttrium Iron Garnets with Tunable Magnetic Anisotropy

We report an interfacial chemical stability-driven reduction of low-temperature damping losses in tensile-strained, ultrathin Y3Fe5O12 (YIG) films grown by pulsed laser deposition, exhibiting ultralow damping constants and tunable magnetic anisotropy. Comparative broadband FMR measurements show that tensile-strained YIG films on Gd3Sc2Ga3O12 (GSGG) retain measurable damping even at nanometer thicknesses and cryogenic temperatures down to 2 K, outperforming relaxed films on Gd3Ga5O12. Based on static magnetometry measurements along with microstructural and compositional analyses, we attribute these enhanced dynamic properties to the suppression of interdiffusion across the YIG/GSGG interface, resulting from enhanced chemical stability and favorable growth kinetics by the presence of Sc. Our findings highlight the importance of chemical and kinetic factors in achieving few-nanometer-thick YIG film with negligible low-temperature damping dissipation and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy for cryogenic spintronic applications.

OpenMS WebApps: Building User-Friendly Solutions for MS Analysis

Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) is an indispensable analytical technique in proteomics, metabolomics, and other life sciences. While OpenMS provides advanced open-source software for MS data analysis, its complexity can be challenging for non-experts. To address this, we have developed OpenMS WebApps, a framework for creating user-friendly MS web applications based on the Streamlit Python package. OpenMS WebApps simplifies MS data analysis through an intuitive graphical user interface, interactive result visualizations, and support for both local and online execution. Key features include workspaces management, automatic generation of input widgets, and parallel execution of tools resulting in highperformance and ready-to-use solutions for online and local deployment. This framework benefits both researchers and developers: scientists can focus on their research without the burden of complex software setups, and developers can rapidly create and distribute custom WebApps with novel algorithms. Several applications built on the OpenMS WebApps template demonstrate its utility across diverse MS-related fields, enhancing the OpenMS eco-system for developers and a wider range of users. Furthermore, it integrates seamlessly with third-party software, extending benefits to developers beyond the OpenMS community.
