Continuum-Limit HQET LCDAs from Lattice QCD for Tightening B Decay Uncertainties

Heavy meson HQET light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) are critical for precision predictions of $B$ meson weak decays, but currently are one of dominant theoretical uncertainties that obscure interpretations of $B$ anomalies and CP-violating measurements. Building on the established HQLaMET framework, supplemented by lattice QCD calculations of the OPE moments, we present a precise lattice QCD calculation of HQET LCDAs by employing multi-ensemble simulations for continuum and physical pion mass extrapolation, quantifying comprehensive systematic errors, and validating results through OPE moment cross-validation. Details of the lattice calculations are provided in a companion paper \cite{HeavymesonDA_long_paper}. Our final results for key inverse moments (at $μ=1$ GeV) are $λ_B=0.340(20)$ GeV and $σ_B^{(1)}=1.685(63)$, with the total uncertainty reduced by a factor of three relative to the previous analysis. These results can greatly reduce the uncertainty in the $B \to K^*$ form factors in the large-recoil region. This work resolves the long-standing bottleneck in first-principles predictions of heavy meson LCDAs, advancing precision flavor physics to new frontiers.

Automated Extraction of Collins-Soper Kernel from Lattice QCD using An Autonomous AI Physicist System

We employ {PhysMaster}, an autonomous agentic AI system integrating theoretical reasoning, numerical computation, and exploitation strategies towards ultra-long horizon automation, to tackle long-standing challenges in non-perturbative lattice analyzes, including low signal-to-noise ratio at large transverse separation, complex systematic uncertainties, and labor-intensive manual workflows. Using the extraction of the CS kernel from quasi-transverse-momentum-dependent wave functions (quasi-TMDWFs) via large-momentum effective theory (LaMET) as a showcase, we demonstrate that \textsc{PhysMaster} automates high-dimensional fitting, renormalization, continuum-chiral extrapolation, and non-perturbative reconstruction in a fully autonomous manner. This framework drastically reduces the duration of the workflow from months to hours without compromising precision, stabilizes signals in the large-$b_\perp$ region to $1~\rm fm$, and produces results consistent with perturbative QCD and state-of-the-art traditional lattice calculations. This work validates the effectiveness of physicist-AI collaboration for first-principles QCD research and establishes a generalizable, reproducible paradigm for automated studies of parton structure and other non-perturbative observables from lattice QCD.

A Lattice QCD study of $p-Λ$ scattering in continuum and chiral limits

We present a first systematic study of $I=1/2$ proton-$Λ$ ($p$-$Λ$) scattering from lattice QCD, using seven sets of $(2+1)$-flavor lattice ensembles with pion masses spanning 135-317 MeV and three lattice spacings with $a=(0.052,0.077, 0.105)$ fm. Using Lüscher's finite-volume method, effective range expansion and chiral/continuum extrapolations, we obtain the inverse of scattering length and effective range for the $^1S_0$ channel as 0.177(83) GeV and 2.9(1.4) fm, and for the $^3S_1$ channel as 0.016(76) GeV and 1.8(1.1) fm. From the derived S-wave phase shifts, we provide an estimate of the $p-Λ$ scattering cross section. Our results for scattering length, effective range and cross sections are in good agreement with available experimental measurements. We also find that the $p-Λ$ system sustains attractive interactions. These results provide critical input for the unification of nuclear force theories and the construction of neutron star equations of state.

Lattice QCD Determination of the Collins-Soper Kernel in the Continuum and Physical Mass Limits

The Collins-Soper (CS) kernel governs the rapidity evolution of transverse-momentum-dependent (TMD) parton distributions, a cornerstone for QCD factorization and linking nucleon structure data across scales. Its nonperturbative behavior at large transverse separations ($b_{\perp}$) remains weakly constrained due to phenomenological model dependencies. We present a first-principles determination of the CS kernel at the continuum limit and physical pion mass from lattice QCD in the large-momentum effective theory framework. Using (2+1)-flavor configurations (lattice spacings $a \in[0.052, 0.105]$ fm, and pion mass $m_π \approx ( 136, 230, 300, 320)$ MeV), we simulating the nonlocal equal-time correlation function and extract the quasi-TMD wave functions. Taking into account systematic improvements including hypercubic smearing, nonperturbative renormalization, and a $b_{\perp}$-unexpanded matching kernel, we obtain the CS kernel at the continuum, chiral, and infinite-momentum limits. Our results are determined up to $b_{\perp} \sim 1$ fm, with controllable uncertainties, and agree with perturbative QCD at small $b_{\perp}$ and global TMD phenomenological extractions. We conduct a global analysis integrated with phenomenological fits and demonstrate the impact of our results on such fits. This work yields the most precise nonperturbative constraint on the CS kernel's long-distance behavior from Lattice QCD, which not only bridges Lattice QCD, perturbation theory, and nucleon structure experiments for TMD studies, but also boosts the utility of our constraint for future global TMD analyses.

Lattice QCD calculation of charmed baryon decay constants at continuum limit and physical mass

We present the first principle calculation of charmed baryon decay constants employing 2+1 flavor gauge ensembles with lattice spacings ranging from 0.05 to 0.1 fm and pion masses between 136 and 310 MeV. Under $SU(3)$ flavor symmetry, we construct the charmed baryon interpolating operators and compute the corresponding hadronic matrix elements to extract the bare decay constants for each ensemble. The non-perturbative renormalization is performed via the symmetric momentum-subtraction scheme. After performing systematic chiral and continuum extrapolations, we obtain the decay constants with a precision of $8\sim 16\%$ from first principles.

$Ξ_c-Ξ_c^{\prime}$ mixing From Lattice QCD

In heavy quark limit, the lowest-lying charmed baryons with two light quarks can form an SU(3) triplet and sextet. The $Ξ_c$ in the SU(3) triplet and $Ξ_c'$ in the sextet have the same $J^{PC}$ quantum number and can mix due to the finite charm quark mass and the fact the strange quark is heavier than the up/down quark. We explore the $Ξ_c$-$Ξ_c'$ mixing by calculating the two-point correlation functions of the $Ξ_c$ and $Ξ_c'$ baryons from lattice QCD. Based on the lattice data, we adopt two independent methods to determine the mixing angle between $Ξ_c$ and $Ξ_c'$. After making the chiral and continuum extrapolation, it is found that the mixing angle $θ$ is $1.2^{\circ}\pm0.1^{\circ}$, which seems insufficient to account for the large SU(3) symmetry breaking effects found in weak decays of charmed baryons.
