Model-independent late-universe measurements of $H_0$ and $Ω_K$ with the parametrization based on cosmic age-improved inverse distance ladder

The standard $Λ{\rm CDM}$ model has encountered serious challenges and the $H_0$ tension has become more significant with increasingly precise cosmological observations. Meanwhile, inconsistencies in measurements of the curvature parameter $Ω_\mathrm{K}$ between different datasets also have emerged. In this work, we employ two global and cosmic age-based parameterizations, PAge and MAPAge, to perform model-independent measurements of the Hubble constant $H_0$ and $Ω_\mathrm{K}$ by utilizing the inverse distance ladder (IDL). To construct the PAge-improved IDL, we utilize the strong gravitational lensing (SGL), cosmic chronometers (CC), and gamma ray bursts (GRB) data to calibrate the latest DESI DR2 baryon acoustic oscillation and DESY5 or DES-Dovekie type Ia supernova data. Our analysis indicates that DESI+DES-Dovekie+SGL+CC+GRB gives $H_0=72.20\pm 1.00\,{\rm km}~{\rm s}^{-1}~{\rm Mpc}^{-1}$ in the MAPAge model, reducing the $H_0$ tension to the $0.6σ$ level. Extending to the MAPAge$+Ω_{\rm K}$ model, we obtain $Ω_\mathrm{K}=0.005\pm 0.037$, which suggests that current late-time data are consistent with a flat universe. Finally, the Bayesian analysis indicates that the present late-universe data provide weak to moderate evidence in favor of PAge and MAPAge relative to $Λ{\rm CDM}$.

Identifying lensed gravitational waves with physics-informed posterior learning

Gravitational lensing of gravitational waves can probe compact lenses, dark matter substructure, and cosmological distances, but identifying lensed events is difficult when unrelated binary mergers overlap in the same analysis window. We develop physics-informed posterior learning for ranking lensed multi-image signals against unrelated multiple-merger events. The method exploits the geometric-optics consistency that lensing can change amplitudes, arrival times, and Morse phase offsets while preserving the intrinsic phase evolution of the source. We infer a simulation-trained approximate posterior for the common detector-frame chirp mass and symmetric mass ratio, and fuse posterior samples with direct waveform features. Training uses generic multi-image simulations, while point-mass, singular-isothermal-sphere, singular-isothermal-ellipsoid, and shear-perturbed lenses are reserved for held-out lens-family evaluation. For the observationally motivated binary-black-hole population, the fusion ranking raises the detection efficiency from $20.8\%$ to $35.2\%$ at a $1\%$ reference false-positive-rate threshold calibrated on the corresponding unrelated multiple-merger sample. It lowers the network signal-to-noise ratio needed for $50\%$ detection efficiency from 45.3 to 33.5, which corresponds to a 1.35 times larger signal-to-noise-ratio-equivalent distance scale. The gain is limited by loud unrelated multiple-merger events that are partly source consistent, and by the need to calibrate the unrelated multiple-merger population. These results suggest that physical consistency can become a guiding principle for machine learning searches in dense gravitational-wave catalogs.

Neutrino mass constraints in the Schwarzschild-de Sitter black-hole dark energy model with ACT DR6 and DESI DR2 data

Recent DESI observations have posed new challenges to $Λ$CDM, showing a preference for dynamical dark energy and yielding neutrino mass constraints within $Λ$CDM that approach the lower bound allowed by neutrino oscillation experiments. In this work, we investigate cosmological constraints on the key neutrino parameters, $\sum m_ν$ and $N_{\rm eff}$, within the Schwarzschild-de Sitter black-hole dark energy (SdSDE) framework. We use cosmic microwave background (CMB) data from Planck and ACT DR6, baryon acoustic oscillation data from DESI DR2, and type Ia supernova data from DES-Dovekie and PantheonPlus. We find that SdSDE scenarios prefer a positive neutrino mass whenever $\sum m_ν$ is allowed to vary. Using CMB+DESI+DES-Dovekie data, we obtain $\sum m_ν=0.207^{+0.047}_{-0.052}~{\rm eV}$ for SdSDE+$\sum m_ν$, reduced to $\sum m_ν=0.162^{+0.055}_{-0.056}~{\rm eV}$ when $N_{\rm eff}$ is also varied. This arises from the positive correlation between $N_{\rm eff}$ and $\sum m_ν$, together with the systematic preference of SdSDE for values of $N_{\rm eff}$ below the standard value. Furthermore, the best-fit $χ^2$ comparison shows that $Λ$CDM with extended neutrino parameters is strongly preferred over the corresponding SdSDE extension. Overall, the positive neutrino mass preference induced by SdSDE may reflect parameter compensation rather than an improved global fit, a possibility that should be further tested with future high-precision observational data.

HIcosmo: a differentiable JAX-based framework for cosmology inference

The Stage IV cosmological surveys, such as Euclid, LSST, DESI, and SKA, will deliver observational data of unprecedented volume, calling for efficient and reliable inference tools. This paper presents HIcosmo (High-performance Inference for Cosmology), an open-source JAX-based framework for cosmology inference. In HIcosmo, the forward model, distance integrals, likelihood evaluations, posterior sampling, and Fisher forecasts are all built from JAX primitives, so that gradients and Hessians of the log-likelihood are obtained directly by automatic differentiation, without any finite-difference approximation. The framework implements the $Λ$CDM, $w$CDM, $w_0 w_a$CDM, and interacting dark-energy models, and provides likelihoods for Type Ia supernovae (Pantheon+, DES-SN5YR, Union3), baryon acoustic oscillations (DESI DR1/DR2, SDSS), Planck 2018 distance priors, local $H_0$ measurements, and strong-lensing time delays. Its scope is restricted to background cosmology, with Boltzmann solvers and full perturbation-level likelihoods left to external tools. We validate HIcosmo against the reference implementation of each likelihood and against Cobaya. $χ^2$ values agree to absolute differences of $10^{-6}$-$10^{-2}$, and the marginalized constraints from the two codes differ by less than $0.2σ$ in every analysis tested. Leveraging just-in-time compilation and automatic differentiation, HIcosmo achieves about $8.7\times$ the end-to-end sampling throughput of Cobaya on CPU. As the dataset grows to survey scale, GPU acceleration over CPU reaches up to $20\times$. As applications, we present multi-probe $Λ$CDM joint constraints, dark-energy equation-of-state constraints, and Fisher forecasts for six 21 cm intensity-mapping surveys, including SKA1, MeerKAT, BINGO, Tianlai, and CHIME.

Cosmological preference for a positive neutrino mass at 2.7$σ$: A joint analysis of DESI DR2, DESY5, and DESY1 data

Neutrinos and dark energy (DE) have entered a new era of investigation, as the latest DESI baryon acoustic oscillation measurements tighten the constraints on the neutrino mass and suggest that DE may be dynamical rather than a cosmological constant. In this work, we obtain a high-confidence measurement of the neutrino mass within a dynamical DE framework. A joint analysis of DESI DR2, cosmic microwave background, DESY5 supernova, and DESY1 weak lensing data yields a total neutrino mass of $\sum m_ν= 0.098^{+0.016}_{-0.037}\,\mathrm{eV}$, indicating a measurement for a non-zero, positive neutrino mass at the $2.7σ$ level within the $w_0w_a$CDM framework. This high-confidence measurement is driven mainly by these factors: (i) the DESI's preference for a dynamical DE with its equation of state evolving from $w< -1$ at early times to $w> -1$ at late times, thus leading to a larger neutrino mass; (ii) treating $N_{\mathrm{eff}}$ as a free parameter together with the inclusion of weak lensing data, which likewise allows for an increased neutrino mass. In the future, even higher-confidence measurements of neutrino mass are expected with stronger preferences for dynamical DE in light of more complete DESI data releases.

Alleviating the $H_0$ tension through the interacting dark energy model from quantum gravitational field theory in light of DESI DR2

Recent DESI DR2 data has shown a significant preference for dynamical dark energy, yet this has further exacerbated the $H_0$ tension. In this work, we explore the potential of interacting dark energy models ($\widetildeΛ$CDM and $e\widetildeΛ$CDM) within the asymptotic-safety framework of quantum gravitational field theory to alleviate the $H_0$ tension. We perform observational constraints using the latest baryon acoustic oscillation data from DESI DR2, cosmic microwave background (CMB) data from Planck and ACT, and type Ia supernova data from DESY5 and PantheonPlus, as well as the SH0ES data. From our analysis, we observe the dynamical scale parameter of the cosmological constant, $δ_Λ = -0.270\pm 0.100$, in the $e\widetildeΛ$CDM model using the CMB+DESI+SH0ES data, which deviates from $Λ$CDM at the $2.7σ$ level. Simultaneously, we find $H_0 = 70.84\pm 0.74~\mathrm{km\,s^{-1}\,Mpc^{-1}}$, reducing the $H_0$ tension to $1.7σ$. This increase in the inferred $H_0$ is due to the anti-correlation between $δ_Λ$ and $H_0$, whereby a negative $δ_Λ$ leads to a higher $H_0$ value. Furthermore, for the CMB+DESI+SH0ES combination, we obtain $Δχ^2_{\min}=-14.14$ and $Δ\mathrm{DIC}=-9.18$, favoring the $e\widetildeΛ$CDM model over $Λ$CDM. Overall, the $e\widetildeΛ$CDM model can improve the fit and ease the $H_0$ tension, especially for the data combinations that provide the strongest statistical support.

Synergy between CSST and future gravitational-wave detectors: Probing primordial black holes by cross-correlating dark sirens with galaxies

Gravitational-wave (GW) events and galaxies both trace the cosmic matter distribution, but the mergers of astrophysical black holes and primordial black holes (PBHs) are expected to populate different environments and therefore to cluster with different biases. The GW clustering bias is thus a statistical observable that can separate the two populations. We assess how well this can be done by cross-correlating the photometric galaxy survey of the Chinese Space-station Survey Telescope (CSST) with mock GW catalogs from two future detector networks: the third-generation ET2CE network (the Einstein Telescope and two Cosmic Explorer detectors) and the multi-band BDET2CE network, which adds the space-based baseline Decihertz Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory. We find that CSST combined with 10 years of ET2CE observations can reveal a PBH contribution once its fraction in the total merger rate exceeds about $40\%$, while the much sharper sky localization of BDET2CE lowers this threshold to about $20\%$. The improvement comes from recovering the small-scale clustering information that localization errors would otherwise erase. These results show that combining future GW detector networks with CSST galaxy clustering offers a promising and largely independent route to identifying PBHs statistically.

Universal geometric framework for black hole phase transitions: from multivaluedness to classification

Recent studies have revealed synchronized multivalued behavior in thermodynamic, dynamical, and geometric quantities during the black hole first-order phase transition, which enables a diagnosis from different perspectives, yet its fundamental origin has remained poorly understood. By constructing a unified geometric framework integrating real analysis and covering space theory, we reveal the universal mathematical mechanism behind this phenomenon. We prove that this multivaluedness originates from two non-degenerate critical points in the temperature function $T(r_+)$, where $r_+$ is the horizon radius, which fold the parameter space into a three-sheeted covering structure. As a direct application, we propose that a black hole undergoes a first-order phase transition if and only if its $T(r_+)$ curve has two extrema. Accordingly, we establish a classification scheme, denoted $A1$, $A2$, and $B$ for black holes. This scheme offers a complementary perspective to classifications based on global topological invariants. Our work provides a theoretical foundation for diagnosing phase transitions via multivaluedness and establishes a unified geometric perspective on black hole thermodynamics, chaotic dynamics, and spacetime structure during first-order phase transitions.

Neutrino mass constraints in interacting dark energy models after DESI DR2

Recent DESI observations indicate a deviation from the $Λ$CDM model, showing a preference for dynamical dark energy and thereby relaxing the upper limit on the neutrino mass within this framework. This deviation can also be explained by the presence of an interaction between dark energy and dark matter. In this work, we investigate the cosmological upper bounds on the total neutrino mass ($\sum m_ν$) across four different interacting dark energy (IDE) models. The present analysis employs the latest DESI baryon acoustic oscillation, cosmic microwave background, and type Ia supernova datasets. These results demonstrate that the upper bounds on $\sum m_ν$ exhibit profound sensitivity to the specific phenomenological formulation of the interaction term. While the I$Λ$CDM2 model ($Q \propto H ρ_{\mathrm{c}}$) substantially relaxes the stringent upper limit ($\sum m_ν < 0.129$ eV at 95% confidence level), notably the I$Λ$CDM3 model ($Q \propto H_0 ρ_{\mathrm{de}}$), severely compresses the allowed parameter space, yielding a highly restrictive bound of $\sum m_ν < 0.051$ eV. Furthermore, rigorous goodness-of-fit evaluations utilizing the Deviance Information Criterion and $Δχ^2_{\mathrm{MAP}}$ indicate that the current observational data statistically favor these mass-suppressing IDE models. This establishes an exacerbated statistical tension between the observationally preferred IDE scenarios and the normal hierarchy lower bound ($\sim 0.06$ eV) determined by terrestrial neutrino oscillation experiments.

Model-independent H0 from GWTC-4 standard sirens and TDCOSMO 2025 strong lensing time delays

The significant discrepancy between early- and late-Universe measurements of the Hubble constant, known as the Hubble tension, remains one of the most pressing open questions in cosmology. Since both sides of the tension rely on model-dependent assumptions or multi-rung calibration chains, a cosmological-model-independent measurement of $H_0$ is essential to arbitrate this discrepancy. In this work, we combine 142 gravitational-wave standard siren events from the Fourth Gravitational-Wave Transient Catalog with the latest TDCOSMO2025 time-delay strong lensing data to constrain $H_0$ in a cosmological-model-independent framework based on the distance sum rule. Under the FullPop-4.0 population model with the TDCOSMO2025-only lensing configuration, we obtain $H_0 = 83.78^{+12.53}_{-10.23}\ {\rm km\,s^{-1}\,Mpc^{-1}}$, with a relative precision of $13.58\%$. We find that the $H_0$ precision is governed primarily by the mass-sheet transformation treatment on the strong-lensing side: replacing the conservative TDCOSMO2025 hierarchical framework with the H0LiCOW method tightens the constraint to $H_0 = 75.42^{+3.74}_{-4.66}\ {\rm km\,s^{-1}\,Mpc^{-1}}$, with a relative precision of $5.57\%$. At the current precision, all results are consistent with both the Planck and SH0ES values, and future improvements from more high-redshift dark siren events and more time-delay lens systems are expected to strengthen this model-independent approach.

Phase separation seeded by Z2 and U(1) topological defects from holography

We study the interaction between spontaneous symmetry breaking and phase separation dynamics in holography. Using a double-quench protocol, the system first rapidly crosses the critical point and generates topological defects, while a second quench drives the system into a nonlinear unstable regime with spinodal decomposition. We investigate both $\mathbb{Z}_2$ and $U(1)$ symmetric systems, where different types of topological defects emerge during symmetry breaking. We show that topological defects dynamically determine the nucleation sites of phase separation. As the instability grows, the defect cores expand into macroscopic phase-separated domains. Despite the distinct symmetries and topological properties of these defects, both systems exhibit the same universal dynamical behavior, indicating that topological defects can universally serve as dynamical seeds for subsequent phase separation.

Parameter inference of millilensed gravitational waves using neural spline flows

When gravitational waves (GWs) propagate near massive objects, they undergo gravitational lensing that imprints lens model dependent modulations on the waveform. This effect provides a powerful tool for cosmological and astrophysical studies. Due to the added parameters of lenses and the uncertainty of lens models, parameter inference for lensed GW events using traditional methods is extremely time-consuming, thus requiring more efficient parameter inference methods. In this work, we explore the use of neural spline flows (NSFs) for posterior inference of millilensed GWs, and successfully apply NSFs to the inference of 11-dimensional lens parameters. Our results demonstrate that compared with traditional methods like Bilby dynesty that rely on Bayesian inference, the NSF network we built not only achieves inference accuracy comparable to traditional methods for most parameters, but also can reduce the inference time from approximately 3 days to 0.8 s on average. Additionally, the network exhibits strong generalization for the spin parameters of GW sources. It is anticipated to become a powerful tool for future low-latency searches for lensed GW signals.

Evidence for deviation in gravitational light deflection from general relativity at cosmological scales with KiDS-Legacy and CMB lensing

General relativity (GR) faces challenges from cosmic acceleration and observational tensions, necessitating stringent tests at cosmological scales. In this work, we probe GR deviations via a $μ$--$Σ$ modified gravity parameterization, integrating KiDS-Legacy weak lensing (WL) data (1347 deg$^2$, $z\leq 2.0$), joint cosmic microwave background (CMB) data from Planck, ACT, and SPT, DESI DR2 baryon acoustic oscillation, and DES-Dovekie supernova data. KiDS-Legacy significantly improves constraint precision: $μ_0$ (matter clustering) by $\sim 60\%$ and $Σ_0$ (gravitational light deflection) by $\sim 43\%$ relative to CMB alone. In the $Λ$CDM background, $μ_0 = 0.21\pm 0.21$ is consistent with GR, while $Σ_0 = 0.149\pm 0.051$ deviates from GR at the 3.0$σ$ level. Furthermore, within the observationally preferred $w_0w_a$CDM background, this deviation in gravitational light deflection persists at the 2.2$σ$ level. This deviation is likely driven by the higher amplitudes in the large-scale CMB lensing measurements. This precise separation of GR-consistent matter clustering and deviant light deflection provides key observational clues for new physics or data systematics. Our work underscores the critical role of synergizing high-precision CMB and WL data in advancing GR tests.

Scalarizations of magnetized Reissner-Nordström black holes induced by parity-violating and parity-preserving interactions

We study spontaneous scalarization of a scalar field in the magnetized Reissner--Nordström spacetime induced by parity-violating and parity-preserving interactions, represented by couplings to the electromagnetic Chern--Simons, gravitational Chern--Simons, and Gauss--Bonnet invariants, respectively. Working in the decoupling limit, we evolve scalar perturbations in the time domain and determine the critical coupling for the onset of tachyonic instability. This allows us to compare, within the same magnetized background, how the external magnetic field affects scalarization induced by parity-violating and parity-preserving interactions. We find that the magnetic field lowers the scalarization threshold in the electromagnetic and gravitational Chern--Simons channels. In the Gauss--Bonnet channel, by contrast, the effect divided into two branches: on the negative-$α$ branch in our convention, corresponding to the standard GB$^{+}$ branch, the magnitude of the critical coupling increases with the magnetic field, whereas on the positive-$α$ branch, corresponding to GB$^{-}$, the critical coupling decreases with the magnetic field but diverges in the limit of vanishing field. The magnetic field also modifies the late-time dynamics and gives rise to Melvin-like modes. When nonlinear couplings are included, the unbounded growth of the linearized theory is replaced by bounded oscillatory evolution. These results show that external magnetic fields affect scalarization induced by parity-violating and parity-preserving interactions in qualitatively different ways, and reveal a pronounced asymmetry between the two Gauss--Bonnet branches.

Robust parameter inference for Taiji via time-frequency contrastive learning and normalizing flows

Transient noise artifacts, commonly referred to as glitches, pose a major challenge to parameter inference for space-based gravitational-wave (GW) observations. We develop a glitch-robust amortized inference framework for massive black hole binaries in the Taiji detector configuration by combining conditional normalizing flows, a time-frequency multimodal fusion encoder, and contrastive learning. To enable large-scale training on contaminated data, we further introduce a neural glitch generator that produces high-fidelity synthetic transients at substantially reduced computational cost. Systematic experiments show that, under glitch contamination, the proposed method yields more accurate and better-calibrated posteriors than a conventional Markov Chain Monte Carlo baseline. In ablation studies, the full time-frequency model with contrastive learning performs best overall and remains robust to variations in glitch duration and merger-relative timing. We further show that standard coverage diagnostics alone are insufficient to fully assess posterior fidelity. We therefore complement them with the continuous ranked probability score, which provides a stricter assessment of global distributional agreement in non-ideal GW data. Taken together, these results establish deep-learning-based amortized inference as a promising framework for fast and robust Bayesian parameter estimation in future space-based GW observations.

Topological defect induced phase separation in a holographic system

We investigate the coupled dynamics of symmetry breaking and phase separation during quenches across the critical point in a first-order phase transition. Based on the Einstein-Maxwell-scalar theory, we construct a holographic superfluid model with $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry. By introducing higher-order nonlinear terms $λΨ^4$ and $τΨ^6$ into the scalar field potential, we realize a rich phase structure, which enables us to study the coupling effects between symmetry breaking and phase separation. Furthermore, by preparing initial conditions with well-defined spatial partitions, we discover a new triggering mechanism for the invasion phenomenon, namely that kinks serve as triggering sites for the phase separation process. This study reveals a novel coupling mechanism between topological defects and phase separation, enriches our understanding of nonequilibrium structure formation in strongly coupled systems.

Stability analysis and double critical phenomenon in the Einstein-Maxwell-scalar theory

We investigate the dynamical stability and phase transition behavior in a holographic superfluid model incorporating higher-order self-interaction terms $λ|ψ|^4$, $τ|ψ|^6$, and a non-minimal coupling $h(ψ)=e^{α|ψ|^2}$. Thermodynamic and dynamical stability analyzes show that the thermodynamic stability and dynamical stability of the system are consistent. Phase diagram analysis reveals rich critical and supercritical phenomena. For fixed $λ<0$ and $α$, increasing $τ$ shrinks the first-order phase transition region to a critical point and then enters the supercritical region. When varying $α$, the system can exhibit no critical point and, most notably, a double critical phenomenon in which, as $α$ increases, the system first enters the supercritical region and then re-enters the first-order phase transition region. This double critical phenomenon driven by a single parameter is reported for the first time in holographic superfluid models, revealing a complex nonmonotonic coupling effect between the non-minimal coupling and higher-order interaction terms.

Interior structure of black holes with nonlinear terms

We investigate the oscillation of the Kasner exponent $p_t$ near critical point of the hairy black holes dual to holographic superfluid and reveal a clear inverse periodicity $f(T_c/(T_c-T))$ in a large region below the critical temperature. We first introduce the fourth-power term with a coefficient $λ$ to adjust the oscillatory behavior of the Kasner exponent $p_t$ near the critical point. Importantly, we show that the nonlinear coefficient $λ$ provides accurate control of this periodicity: a positive $λ$ stretches the region, while a negative $λ$ compresses it. By contrast, the influence of another coefficient $τ$ is more concentrated in regions away from the critical point. This work provides a new perspective for understanding the complex dynamical structure inside black holes and extends the actively control from the fourth- and sixth-power term into the black hole interior region.
