Low-energy interactions between doubly charmed baryons and Goldstone bosons from lattice QCD

We perform a lattice QCD calculation of the $S$-wave interactions between the ground-state spin-$1/2$ doubly charmed baryons and Goldstone bosons. The lattice QCD simulations are carried out on four $2+1$ flavor Wilson-Clover ensembles generated by the CLQCD collaboration, with a lattice spacing $a=0.07746$ fm and two different pion masses, $M_\pi \sim 210$ and $\sim 300~\mathrm{MeV}$. Energy levels are extracted for four single channels, $\Omega_{cc}\bar{K}^{(-2,1/2)}$, $\Xi_{cc}K^{(1,1)}$, $\Xi_{cc}K^{(1,0)}$, and $\Xi_{cc}\pi^{(0,3/2)}$, where the superscripts $(S,I)$ denote strangeness $S$ and isospin $I$. Our results indicate that the $\Xi_{cc}K^{(1,0)}$ channel is attractive, exhibiting negative energy shifts relative to the non-interacting two-hadron thresholds, while the other three channels are repulsive. Using L\"uscher's finite-volume formula, we extract the near-threshold phase shifts and determine the $S$-wave scattering lengths. Furthermore, a virtual state pole is found in the $\Xi_{cc}K^{(1,0)}$ scattering amplitude. These results provide {\it ab initio} input to enable high-precision studies of the properties and spectroscopy of doubly heavy baryons.

A lattice QCD study of low-energy interactions of doubly charmed baryons

We present a lattice QCD calculation of the S-wave interactions between the spin-1/2 doubly charmed baryons ($\Xi_{cc},\Omega_{cc}$) and Goldstone bosons ($\pi,K,\bar{K}$) using the $N_f=2+1$ CLQCD ensembles with lattice spacing $a = 0.07746$ fm and two pion masses $M_\pi \simeq 210$ and 300 MeV. Four single-channel interactions, $I=1/2$ $\Omega_{cc}\bar{K}$, $I=1$ $\Xi_{cc}K$, $I=0$ $\Xi_{cc}K$ and $I=3/2$ $\Xi_{cc}\pi$, are investigated, since they are free of disconnected diagrams. L\"uscher's finite volume method is utilized to extract the scattering parameters in the effective range expansion, i.e., the scattering lengths and effective ranges, from the finite-volume spectra. Our obtained results agree well with previous baryon chiral perturbation theory predictions.

ChPT and lattice QCD studies of doubly charmed baryons

The scattering lengths on the interactions between the spin-$1/2$ doubly charmed baryons and Nambu-Goldstone bosons are of great importance for the investigation of the spectroscopy of heavy flavored baryons. To that end, we have conducted a systematic analysis of the low-energy dynamics of doubly charmed baryons within the frameworks of chiral perturbation theory (ChPT) and lattice quantum chromodynamics (QCD). On the one hand, the S- and P-wave scattering lengths are predicted in a manifestly relativistic baryon ChPT at leading one-loop order. On the other hand, results of the S-wave scattering lengths for four elastic scattering single channels are obtained in lattice QCD for the first time.

Correlation function and the inverse problem in the $BD$ interaction

We study the correlation functions of the $B^0 D^+, B^+ D^0$ system, which develops a bound state of approximately $40$ MeV, using inputs consistent with the $T_{cc}(3875)$ state. Then we address the inverse problem starting from these correlation functions to determine the scattering observables related to the system, including the existence of the bound state and its molecular nature. The important output of the approach is the uncertainty with which these observables can be obtained, considering errors in the $B^0 D^+, B^+ D^0$ correlation functions typical of current values in present correlation functions. We find that it is possible to obtain scattering lengths and effective ranges with relative high precision and the existence of a bound state. Although the pole position is obtained with errors of the order of $50 \%$ of the binding energy, the molecular probability of the state is obtained with a very small error of the order of $6\%$. All these findings can serve as motivation to perform such measurements in future runs of high energy hadron collisions.

Are the $a_{0}(1710)$ or $a_{0}(1817)$ resonances in the $D_{s}^{+} \rightarrow K_{S}^{0}K^{+}π^{0}$ decay?

The BESIII Collaboration claimed that a new $a_{0}(1817)$ resonance was found in the recent results of the $D_{s}^{+} \rightarrow K_{S}^{0}K^{+}π^{0}$ decay. For this decay process, we perform a unitary amplitude to analyze the contributions of the states $a_{0}(980)^{+}$ and $a_{0}(1710)^{+}$ with the final state interactions. Considering the Cabibbo-favored external and internal $W$-emission mechanisms at the quark level, and the contributions of the resonances $a_{0}(980)^{+}$, $a_{0}(1710)^{+}$ in the $S$-wave and $\bar{K}^{*}(892)^{0}$, ${K}^{*}(892)^{+}$ in the $P$-wave, the recent experimental data of the $K_{S}^{0}K^{+}$ invariant mass spectrum from the BESIII Collaboration can be described well. In our results, the states $a_{0}(980)$ and $a_{0}(1710)$ are dynamically generated from the final state interactions of $K\bar{K}$ and $K^{*}\bar{K}^{*}$, respectively, which support the molecular nature for them. Moreover, some obtained branching fractions are in agreement with the experimental measurements.

Study of pion vector form factor and its contribution to the muon $(g-2)$

In the present work, we investigate several theoretical models of the pion vector form factor and aim at getting the best fit for the two-pion cross sections to reduce the uncertainties of the calculation of two-pion contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment. Combined with a polynomial description to the pion vector form factor, we obtain the best fit from the Gounaris-Sakurai (or Kühn-Santamaria) model for the experimental data up to 1 GeV. By product, the branching ratio of $ω\to ππ$ can be extracted as $\text{Br}(ω\toππ)=(1.52\pm 0.06) \%$, which is consistent with the one of Particle Data Group. With the best fit of the data, we obtain the muon anomalous magnetic moment from two-pion contribution as $a_μ^{\mathrm{HVP,\; LO}}(π^{+} π^{-} \leq 1\ \text{GeV}) = (497.76\pm3.15) \times 10^{-10}$. Our results are consistent with the other works.

Study of $D_{s}^{+} \rightarrow K^{+} K^{-} π^{+}$ decay

We investigate the $D_{s}^{+} \rightarrow K^{+} K^{-} π^{+}$ decay theoretically with the final state interactions, which is based on the chiral unitary approach and takes into account the external and internal $W$-emission mechanisms at the quark level. Only considering three resonances contributions, the $f_0(980)$ in $S$-wave, the $\bar {K}^{*}(892)^{0}$ and $ϕ(1020)$ in $P$-wave, one can make a good description of the recent experimental data from BESIII Collaboration, where the contribution from $S$-wave is found to be small. Besides, we also make a calculation of the corresponding branching fractions, which are consistent with the results of BESIII Collaboration and Particle Data Group.
