Adaptive Iterative Decision Feedback Detection Algorithms for Multi-User MIMO Systems

An adaptive iterative decision multi-feedback detection algorithm with constellation constraints is proposed for multiuser multi-antenna systems. An enhanced detection and interference cancellation is performed by introducing multiple constellation points as decision candidates. A complexity reduction strategy is developed to avoid redundant processing with reliable decisions along with an adaptive recursive least squares algorithm for time-varying channels. An iterative detection and decoding scheme is also considered with the proposed detection algorithm. Simulations show that the proposed technique has a complexity as low as the conventional decision feedback detector while it obtains a performance close to the maximum likelihood detector.

Negative refraction in Al:ZnO/ZnO metamaterial in the near-infrared

Noble metals such as gold and silver are the primary metallic building blocks of metamaterial devices. Making subwavelength-sized structural elements from these metals seriously limits the optical performance of a device, however, and complicates the manufacturing process of nearly all metamaterial devices in the optical wavelength range. As an alternative to noble metals, we propose to use heavily-doped oxide semiconductors that offer both functional and fabrication advantages in the near-infrared. In this letter, we report an experimental demonstration of negative refraction in a near-infrared metamaterial device that is designed and fabricated using aluminum-doped zinc oxide.

On the Cauchy problem of a weakly dissipative $μ$HS equation

In this paper, we study the Cauchy problem of a weakly dissipative $μ$HS equation. We first establish the local well-posedness for the weakly dissipative $μ$HS equation by Kato's semigroup theory. Then, we derive the precise blow-up scenario for strong solutions to the equation. Moreover, we present some blow-up results for strong solutions to the equation. Finally, we give two global existence results to the equation.

On the Cauchy problem of a periodic 2-component $μ$-Hunter-Saxton equation

In this paper, we study the Cauchy problem of a periodic 2-component $μ$-Hunter-Saxton system. We first establish the local well-posedness for the periodic 2-component $μ$-Hunter-Saxton system by Kato's semigroup theory. Then, we derive precise blow-up scenarios for strong solutions to the system. Moreover, we present a blow-up result for strong solutions to the system. Finally, we give a global existence result to the system.

Blow-up phenomena and global existence for a periodic two-component Hunter-Saxton system

This paper is concerned with blow-up phenomena and global existence for a periodic two-component Hunter-Saxton system. We first derive the precise blow-up scenario for strong solutions to the system. Then, we present several new blow-up results of strong solutions and a new global existence result to the system. Our obtained results for the system are sharp and improve considerably earlier results.

Global weak solutions for a periodic two-component $μ$-Hunter-Saxton system

This paper is concerned with global existence of weak solution for a periodic two-component $μ$-Hunter-Saxton system. We first derive global existence for strong solutions to the system with smooth approximate initial data. Then, we show that the limit of approximate solutions is a global weak solution of the two-component $μ$-Hunter-Saxton system.

In this paper, we study the Cauchy problem of a two-component b-family equation. We first establish the local well-posedness for a two-component b-family equation by Kato's semigroup theory. Then, we derive precise blow-up scenarios for strong solutions to the equation. Moreover, we present several blow-up results for strong solutions to the equation.
