Reachability of Dimension-Bounded Linear Systems

In this paper, the reachability of dimension-bounded linear systems is investigated.Since state dimensions of dimension-bounded linear systems vary with time, the expression of state dimension at each time is provided.A method for judging the reachability of a given vector space is proposed. In addition, this paper proves that the t-step reachable subset is a linear space, and gives a computing method. The t-step reachability of a given state is verified via a rank condition. Furthermore, annihilator polynomials are discussed and used to illustrate the relationship between the invariant space and the reachable subset after the invariant time point t*. The inclusion relation between reachable subsets at times t*+i and t*+j is shown via an example.

Some topological properties of topological rough groups

Let $(U, R)$ be an approximation space with $U$ being non-empty set and $R$ being an equivalence relation on $U$, and let $\overline{G}$ and $\underline{G}$ be the upper approximation and the lower approximation of subset $G$ of $U$. A topological rough group $G$ is a rough group $G=(\underline{G}, \overline{G})$ endowed with a topology, which is induced from the upper approximation space $\overline{G}$, such that the product mapping $f: G\times G\rightarrow \overline{G}$ and the inverse mapping are continuous. In the class of topological rough groups, the relations of some separation axioms are obtained, some basic properties of the neighborhoods of the rough identity element and topological rough subgroups are investigated. In particular, some examples of topological rough groups are provided to clarify some facts about topological rough groups. Moreover, the version of open mapping theorem in the class of topological rough group is obtained. Further, some interesting open questions are posed.

A Machine Learning Based Morphological Classification of 14,245 Radio AGNs Selected From The Best-Heckman Sample

We present a morphological classification of 14,245 radio active galactic nuclei (AGNs) into six types, i.e., typical Fanaroff--Riley Class I / II (FRI/II), FRI/II-like bent-tailed, X-shaped radio galaxy, and ringlike radio galaxy, by designing a convolutional neural network (CNN) based autoencoder, namely MCRGNet, and applying it to a labeled radio galaxy (LRG) sample containing 1442 AGNs and an unlabeled radio galaxy (unLRG) sample containing 14,245 unlabeled AGNs selected from the Best--Heckman sample. We train MCRGNet and implement the classification task by a three-step strategy, i.e., pre-training, fine-tuning, and classification, which combines both unsupervised and supervised learnings. A four-layer dichotomous tree is designed to classify the radio AGNs, which leads to a significantly better performance than the direct six-type classification. On the LRG sample, our MCRGNet achieves a total precision of $\sim 93\%$ and an averaged sensitivity of $\sim 87\%$, which are better than those obtained in previous works. On the unLRG sample, whose labels have been human-inspected, the neural network achieves a total precision of $\sim 80\%$. Also, using the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Data Release 7 (DR7) to calculate the $r$-band absolute magnitude ($M_\mathrm{opt}$) and using the flux densities to calculate the radio luminosity ($L_\mathrm{radio}$), we find that the distributions of the unLRG sources on the $L_\mathrm{radio}$--$M_\mathrm{opt}$ plane do not show an apparent redshift evolution and could confirm with a sufficiently large sample that there could not exist an abrupt separation between FRIs and FRIIs as reported in some previous works.
