WorldString: Actionable World Representation

Inspired by the emergent behaviors in large language models that generalized human intelligence, the research community is pursuing similar emergent capabilities within world models, with a emphasis on modeling the physical world. Within the scope of physical world model, objects are the fundamental primitives that constitute physical reality. From humans to computers, nearly everything we interact with is an object. These objects are rarely static; they are actionable entities with varying states determined by their intrinsic properties. While current methods approach object action states either via video generation or dynamic scene reconstruction, none explicitly model this basic element in a unified, principled way to build an actionable object representation. We propose WorldString, a neural architecture capable of modeling the state manifold of real-world objects by learning directly from point clouds or RGB-D video streams. Serving as a versatile digital twin, it acts as a foundational building block for physical world models; thus, we name it WorldString. Sweetly, its fully differentiable structure seamlessly enables future integration with policy learning and neural dynamics.

Visualization Analysis and Impedance Analysis for the Aging Behavior Assessment of 18650 Cells

This work presents a comprehensive study on the aging behavior of 18650-type lithium-ion batteries, focusing on the uneven intercalation of lithium ions during fast charging processes. It introduces a novel approach using color visual recognition technology to analyze color changes in the graphite anode, indicative of lithiation levels. The study employs X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Distribution of Relaxation Time (DRT) techniques to validate and analyze the observations. The study emphasizes the significance of electrode impedance, the positioning of battery tabs, and electrolyte distribution in influencing the aging dynamics of lithium-ion batteries. Furthermore, the paper presents an innovative impedance Transport-Line Model, specifically developed to capture the evolution of polarization impedance over time. This model offers a deeper understanding of the internal mechanisms driving battery aging, providing valuable insights for the design and optimization of lithium-ion batteries. The research represents a significant contribution to the field, shedding light on the complex aging processes in lithium-ion batteries, particularly under the conditions of fast charging. This could lead to improved battery performance, longevity, and safety, which are critical for the wide range of applications that depend on these energy storage systems.

Ultra-narrowband terahertz circular dichroism driven by planar metasurface supporting chiral quasi bound states in continuum

Terahertz (THz) chirality pursues customizable manipulation from narrowband to broadband. While conventional THz chirality is restricted by non-negligible linewidth and unable to handle narrowband well. Recently, the concept "quasi bound states in continuum" (quasi-BIC) is introduced to optics resonance system whose the quality factor can be extremely high with the ultra-low radiative loss, thus providing a conceptual feasibility for wave control with ultra-narrow linewidth. Herein, we construct quasi-BIC in a planar all-silicon THz metasurface with in-plane C2 and mirror symmetries breaking. Such system not only exposes the symmetry-protected BIC, but also exposes the parameter-tuned BIC assigned to single resonance type. An extremely narrow linewidth (below 0.06 GHz) with high quality factor (104 level) is obtained at quasi-BIC frequency, which achieves the ultra-narrowband THz chirality.

Higgs boson production in the $U(1)_{B-L}$ model at the ILC

In the framework of the minimal $U(1)_{B-L}$ extension of the Standard Model, we investigate the Higgs boson production processes $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ZH$, $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ν_{e}\bar{ν_{e}}H$, $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow t\bar{t}H$, $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ZHH$ and $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ν_{e}\bar{ν_{e}}HH$ at the International Linear Collider (ILC). We present the production cross sections, the relative corrections and compare our results with the expected experimental accuracies for Higgs decay channel $H\rightarrow b\bar{b}$. In the allowed parameter space, we find that the effects of the three single Higgs boson production processes might approach the observable threshold of the ILC, and that the Higgs signal strengths $μ_{b\bar{b}}$ of the two double Higgs boson production processes are all out of the observable threshold of the ILC so that the effects will be difficult to be observed at the ILC.

Effects of R-parity violating supersymmetry in top pair production at linear colliders with polarized beams

In the minimal supersymmetric standard model with R-parity violation, the lepton number violating top quark interactions can contribute to the top pair production at a linear collider via tree-level u-channel squark exchange diagrams. We calculate such contributions and find that in the allowed range of these R-violating couplings, the top pair production rate as well as the top quark polarization and the forward-backward asymmetry can be significantly altered. By comparing the unpolarized beams with the polarized beams, we find that the polarized beams are more powerful in probing such new physics.
